About the Realm of Redheads.

I created the Realm of Redheads almost ten years ago when I realized there simply weren't any sites out there devoted to redheads that didn't involve adult content. I have always felt that we were special and unique, and that most of us can't help but be drawn to other redheads when we pass them on the street. Why not create an online community of nothing but redheads? One where we could get to know each other as friends, not potential dates.

Many people mistake its purpose, so I want to make this abundantly clear - the Realm is not a personals site or a dating service. There have been a handful of budding romances (and even marriages!) because of the Realm, but its purpose is to celebrate our redheadedness in a fun community, and to hopefully make some online friendships with others of shared fiery follicles. Most of the members are already married or involved with a significant other, and have no interest in being propositioned.

Although I don't wish to discount our non-redheaded friends and they are more than welcome to peruse the site, it is a fact that this site was created for my fellow redheads. Visitors will not have access to the members' contact information.

What you will find instead is a fully interactive website consisting of almost 3,000 redheaded members so far. We post our photos, email addresses, website addresses, our interests and tons of other nifty little tidbits of information. We chat back and forth on our private bulletin board, share makeup tips, book recommendations, get to know each other through various interviews... the list goes on and on. Redheads can get involved with this site as much as they have the time for.

Many people ask what "perks" or "benefits" they will get from signing up. The simple answer is none. There are no perks, other than being a part of a fantastic community of redheads and meeting some new friends. The Realm is just like any other organization -- to join you pay dues. Only with us, you pay a one-time fee of $5 instead of a recurring annual fee. The Realm used to be free, but the expense of running this site is astronomical. Also, requiring a PayPal payment of $5 prevents most people from signing up with fake names, a problem we've had in the past.

Any redhead, male or female, natural or henna enhanced, is welcome to sign up. Most redheads and visitors alike will find this site enjoyable and entertaining, and I sincerely hope that you do, too.

Note: Please understand that the Realm is not a big corporation. It's just me. I founded it many years ago and maintained it as a fun hobby for a long time. These days, I don't have as much free time to devote to it as I used to. My "real job" is owner of a web design, hosting and development company which services several hundred clients. I haven't seen a standard 40-hour work week in years. Translation: I lead an insanely busy life, and the Realm is in no way, shape or form at the top of my list of priorities. I do the best I can. Please keep that in mind.
