Topping the scale at 18 pounds, Rooty Cat doesn't fit the stereotype for most redheads. Most of the time he hides in our coat closet, and will begin to whine when he wants you to dig him out so he can be fed! He loves shark meat, and has been known to literary stuff his face with the stuff so that his cheeks look like they are about to explode!
Rooty's name comes from "root cellar." When we lived in Illinois he fell into our basement through an old-fashioned root cellar that we had. He was only about two or three weeks old at the time. When he's not hanging out amongst old winter coats and tennis rackets in the closet, he is making sure my computer chair is filled with cat fur!
