In March of 94 we came upon a nightmare scene. People in the road around a small red creature. No one knew what to do, she was horribly injured and when approached went into spasms of agony. We moved her to a flat surface put her in the back of the Bronco and took her to our vet. She had a broken back and front leg plus the typical muscle injuries expected from being hit by a car. Despite this she managed to get up and stand on her hind legs against the back of the seat and snarl. With a useless leg dangling from her shoulder. She was out of her mind with pain and fear. My wonderful vet immediately injected her with pain killers. I will never, ever, ever forget that scene. Horrible. We had to wait a week just to see the extent of the back injury and determine whether she had bowel control. She was such a trooper. This story could go on and on but the short version is that Doctor Wonderful did surgery, I gained her trust over time and we now have a bond that is incredible and unbreakable. She is very much a redhead in personally, tough, strong willed little gal with a heart of gold. A survivor! Putty in my hands and I'm putty in her paws.

Randy

Randy is a very friendly cat, as most orange males are. We call him the 4th dog. When I come home I greet each dog, they are excitedly waiting at the garage kitchen door and then I must stand to greet the "4th dog" who is on the edge of the kitchen counter waiting his turn. All this kitchen counter activity caused my husband (who loves cats) to begin calling him "you little orange turd". We have three dogs and three cats who are very active members of the household. . We didn't realize how much he called him that until we had surprise overnight company from out of state. Old, old friends of husband, hadn't seen them in years. We received a post card from them on the road saying how much they enjoyed the visit. The card was addressed to Dave, Marianne, Jennie, Chelsea, Tazz, Stevie, Nikki and Orange Turd. - Owner: Irishfire
