If you could choose any place in the world to live, where would it be?
Well, if I didn't burn it would be a beach, but since I do I would love to live in Rome. Wherever it is - it just has to be warm.
When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I always wanted to be a history teacher.
Your occupation now?
I am now a full time student again.
What are some of your interests and hobbies?
I love to cook, I like to work out, reading, traveling, trying new things...
What would you say are your character strengths?
I am loyal, I am strong, I am determined, I am kind and able to laugh at myself.
Weaknesses?
I am STUBBORN.. I can get very angry very quickly and I am not the most patient person in the world.
Do you have any quirks you think are strange or amusing?
I cannot stand to have wet skin after I get out of the shower it borders on neurosis. I don't like my skin to be wet unless I am immersed in water. I think that's pretty strange.
Who is/was the most influential person/role model in your life?
I've never really had one.
What are your achievements/accomplishments that you are the most proud of?
Going back to school, making it on my own without anyone's help.
Are you currently single, involved, or married?
I just got married in June.
What qualities do you find the most attractive in other people?
A sense of humor! Intelligence, the ability to be introspective and open minded.
What is one thing you would change about the world?
I worked for years in the public assistance arena in the inner city. I would change education completely, I would change our policies toward the poor and those who are the working poor.
What is your favorite food?
I like most food. Probably Greek or Middle Eastern food, followed by ice cream
If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would you choose?
Queen Elizabeth I. No question.
If you won the lottery tomorrow, what would you do with the money?
Traveling until I felt like stopping. Buying houses in places I liked. Paying off my families homes. Funding college educations for my niece and nephews.
Do you consider yourself a spiritual person?
Not in the traditional sense, no. I don't know if there is a god but I do know that what you do comes back to you - good or bad and I believe that you are eventually rewarded and punished for your actions.
Is there any particular historical era that you feel drawn to?
Medeival Europe and the Renaissance. I would give almost anyting to go back in time and see what it was really like.
What are your favorite books and authors?
Hemmingway, - The Sun Also Rises. To Kill a Mockingbird. Some of Anne Rice's stuff (it's getting rather boring now) , Shakespeare, The Bell Jar, any books on History..When I was little I just loved Laura Ingalls Wilder,
What are your favorite movies?
I am not a big movie person. It requries that I sit for way too long. I own Immortal Beloved, Dracula (in several versions) Shrek, Labyrinth, Polish Wedding, American Beauty... and for some reason I will always sit and watch the move Bachelor Paty, I have no idea why.
What is your most prized possession?
My engagement and wedding rings.
What is your favorite color?
Depends on my mood.. usually red.
What are your favorite television shows?
God, I love the Simpsons. I liked the Family Guy too, but that's not on anymore. I also like CSI and I am a sucker for the VH1 stuff like I love the 80's and I am addicted to the History Channel.
What are some of your pet peeves?
I cannot stand rude or stupid people. I don't like bad grammar and I loathe to hear people
use it to sound cool. I also can't stand it when people leave towels on the floor. Drives me nuts.
What are some of the issues that you are passionate about?
Children and their nutrition, the state of health care in this country, the right to choose and euthenasia.
Do you have any tattoos or piercings?
Piercings- ears twice, navel once. Tattoo - ank on my lower back
What is one thing you hope to accomplish before you die?
Everything I can. All I know is when I am dying I don't want to be thinking " if only I had..." or "I wish I would have..."
What is something you've always wanted to do/try but haven't yet?
Nothing I care to print here. :)
Where do you see yourself ten years (what are your goals)?
I would like to be either running an event planning business or teaching history (yeah, I know totally different but I think I might do both) with two healthy children, my wonderful husband and living somewhere warm and near the water.
