Self-Description: Is this a dangerous combination? I'm not only a redhead, but
I'm also a bull-headed Taurus, half-Scottish, and half-German! At any
rate I'm very passionate and opinionated about life and the meaning of
life (or at least what I can make out of it from the midst of these
Iowa cornfields), and I've been told that I have a very strong aura.
I've managed to train myself to become very open-minded and tolerant
of others, and tolerant of my own changes as I grow and learn more
about the world.
Children: One daughter, Katie, 2 (who's strawberry blonde :)
Interests: I'm a biologist by training, and a college biology
instructor at a community college, so I'm very interested in science,
especially biology, astronomy, exobiology (the study of
extraterrestrial life), and holistic views of Earth like the Gaia
Theory. My other passions include history, especially pre-Roman
European; Scottish and German history, culture, language, and food;
music (from Styx and Kansas to Wagner to Yanni to Kate Bush); travel;
"Doctor Who"; and spirituality (my search on my path is a big part of who I am).
