Self-Description: I'm an outspoken 31-year-old redheaded Scorpio.
I am married to a wonderful man named Brian that I've been with for nine
years (and married for five). We live in Lawrence, Kansas area, a hip
little college town of about 90,000 that typically votes Democratic. I'm
extremely passionate about politics and I send nasty (but eloquent!)
letters to radical conservatives at all levels of government on a monthly
basis.
I have a great sense of humor, but I'm cursed with an unusually low level of tolerance for idiots,
so of course they tend to flock to me in droves.
This phenomenon usually results in endless amounts of entertainment, or depending on my mood, aggravation. I don't shy away from
confrontation and I won't sit idly by and let an injustice occur if I can help it.
I'm honest, aggressive, determined and unstoppable.
I have a burning entrepreneurial spirit, as does my husband. I own a web design, hosting and development company that keeps me crazy-busy--
I haven't seen a forty-hour work week in years. Once I'm rich enough to support it, I'm going to give up the rat race and open up a luxury pet resort so I can rescue
stray dogs and let
them live the good life that they deserve. It's really not their fault that most humans are stupid and think
pets are dispensable.
Children: I have a cute little orange dog named Cheeto who happens to be the funniest furball on the face of the earth.
Interests: I'm easily amused. Above all else, I love spending time with my
husband and my dog; they are my biggest sources of entertainment.
I'm a geeky Mac addict. Font freak. PHP enthusiast. Collage artist. Armchair environmentalist. Amateur photographer.
I'm a voracious reader, an occasional writer, an avid aquarist and an insatiable football fan (Go Chiefs!).
I simply adore Stephen King novels, rollercoasters, and purple ink pens. I have a serious, almost frightening addiction to Diet Mountain Dew and chocolate, but I work out obsessively to combat
the effects of both.
I also a movie buff and tv junkie. I love any television show having to do with the criminal law and/or forensics: 24, The Closer, Boston Legal, Law & Order,
CSI, Criminal Minds, Dexter. Same goes for the paranormal: Lost, Medium, The Dead Zone, etc. And thanks to my geeky husband, I love Battlestar Gallactica, too.
And it's out of character for me, but I am insanely in love with Desperate Housewives. I have no idea why.
Some of my biggest peeves include:
Hypocrites.
Religious zealots.
Old, rich, white legislators.
(I could go on forever, but let's just say the ass monkey currently in the White House represents everything I despise.)
I despise trolls in all of their various forms, especially on the internet. I must admit, though, that I do get a kick out of
antagonizing them. They make it FAR too easy.
People who don't understand that this site is not my actual job. It's just a hobby and I don't have a lot of time to devote to it, but I do the best I can.
