Self-Description: Enthusiastic and highly imaginative. I often live in my own world and
live by my own set of rules - "Kristen's World" as my husband calls it.
When I find something that interests me, I become passionate about it. I
don't quit until I have consumed all knowledge on the subject or until
something else strikes my fancy to dominate my world.
Children: None that I know of.
Interests: I am an avid sailor who races with two yacht clubs every
summer. We took first place for overall season for the last three years!
I love to make beautiful stained glass art - not that crap they sell in the
craft stores, but real leaded windows and lamps. Unfortunately, I seem to
give away more than I keep.
I am an avid seamstress and always get in over my head when making my
Halloween costume (the picture is from last year's Halloween party.) I say
I will do something easy and then it just balloons into a fiasco. My
husband and I host an annual Halloween costume party and now our friends
wouldn't dream of doing anything else that night. Last year we made our
bathroom look like a murder scene. We had blood and decapatated limbs
everywhere!
I love history and I enjoy reading about and researching it. I dug up the
history on my Victorian house back 125 years. I know who lived there and
when and what they did to the house. The only thing that would make it more
interesting is if I actually owned the house.
My favorite heroine from history is Lady Jane Grey, also a redhead, who
ruled England after Edward VI for nine days and was then found guilty of
treason. Had she become a Catholic, she would have kept her head, but she
stuck to her convictions and died for her beliefs.
