Self-Description: Although I do have the infamous "redhead temper" I'm
actually rather shy and need a lot of peace and quiet time to be
happy! Being the shy homebody type, it's not surprising that I
met my husband online -- he came out to California for a weekend
in 1996 and never went back to Texas! (OK, maybe I'm not THAT
shy.) We've been married since 1997 and live in the Bay Area with
our cat, Byron, and chinchilla, Madison.
Interests: I love to read -- which fits in well with my
homebody personality, but we have a hard time fitting all the books into the apartment! I do think
I'm single-handedly keeping Amazon in business. I also love to cook, which is a passion I never
thought I would have until a few years ago. Traveling is a passion I don't get to indulge as much
as I'd like, although I've gotten to do some cool things like drive across the U.S. and take the
train back, and drive up to the Arctic Circle in Alaska. Next year we're going to spend a week in Paris and a week in London, the first time I've been abroad in a decade -- very exciting! We would love to live abroad but don't see how we could work that. I'm also an animal lover and when we finally buy a house (in the Bay Area -- ha!), I need more room for books, a bigger kitchen, and space for more than the two animals we have now.
