Self-Description: I was born and raised in California for 31 years, but then moved
to Finland. For love. What better reason? I am known as "fire and
ice" - opposites seem to be who and what I am. Shakespeare and Stephen
King. Andrea Bocelli and Beastie Boys. Long red fingernails and
sweatpants. Compassion and fierce temper. Wiccan and Catholic. Edward
Gorey and Hans Christian Anderson. Loquacious Capricorn. Bisexual.
Not Allowed To Handle Sharp Objects. Black leather and floral dresses.
Must Wear Spectacles To See Farther Than 10 Inches From Nose. Introvert.
All around geek and brainiac. Animal lover. Practical romantic. Star
gazer. Always hopeful.
Interests: Books, books, and more books! Let me give an example: I
shipped over 1,000 books in an overseas container from San Francisco to
Finland when I moved here. (The movers in Finland were quite
impressed.) I have a huge interest in folklore and mythology from all
different cultures. Since I am in Finland, I am naturally trying to
learn more about that culture in particular. I also enjoy watching
sports - but not professional sports. I like amateur sports - less ego
and the competitors practice good sportsmanship, and compete for their
own personal best as opposed to whoring themselves for commercial
representation. I have over 500 CDs of just about every musical
taste/type out there. Movies are a big plus with me - I came to Finland
armed with a VCR and DVD player that play all formats so that I could
play my 100+ collection of movies.
More: I believe that:

3)We have soulmates - and sometimes we have more than one
4)Most people are more open-minded then the Religious Right would have you believe
5)Hats never go out of fashion
6)Chocolate is nirvana
7)Kung fu movies rock
8)You can never have too many tubes of lipstick or bottles of nail polish
9)You can also never have too many pairs of black shoes
10)"Walking on Sunshine" is the most overplayed song EVER
