Self-Description: A strawberry-blonde, blue-eyed baby, by age two I had settled
into my auburn-haired, hazel-eyed self. Growing up in the 80's age of
the supermodel tan, I rued my pale skin - but I hated sunburn even more.
Long nights plastered to the sheets with Noxema! (wish I'd known about
aloe then . . .) Nowadays I'm glad I slathered on the sunscreen and
insisted on my big ol' floppy tennis hat under the Texas sun as a
teenager - in my early 30's people think I'm much younger, but more
importantly, I'm happy and healthy and since we're all more accepting of
all kinds of beauty, I get lots of compliments on my coloring now!
Contrary to stereotype, I don't lose my temper very easily; but, now
that I think of it, once my passion is aroused on anything, it's quite
intense! I work to pay my bills and support my real life: Reading,
research, visiting with friends, volunteering, writing, walking,
observing the Catholic faith, and spending time with my family,
especially my three adorable nieces (all dark brunettes so far).
Interests: Reading - especially 18th and 19th C. British novelists
Writing - the usual aspiring-writer stuff
Volunteering - helping women with unplanned pregnancies find resources to assist them
and their families
Apologetics - love learning more about my faith
Research - usually for my aspiring-writer stuff
