Self-Description: How does one describe oneself..... hmm, let me see.... :o)
I'm an Aquarian, just coming up to 35 years now...I've been a musician
for the last 20 years or so (I've been playing professionally since
the age of 16) and in that time have picked up guitar, mandolin,
drums, piano and god knows what else. I write music and perform
regularly with my band here in Sydney, so obviously you could say
music just about runs my life! But this would be a false
assumption.... I am also a graphic designer: I've been noodling around
with pen and paper since I was old enough to scribble, and I guess
professionally I've been doing graphic design for about the last five
years...
I'm a pretty friendly, approachable guy (except for first thing in the
morning before the first coffee) and I can't say I've made many
enemies in my time, it's just not my way... I'm too easy-going! I like
a good, stimulating conversation, I like to know how people tick and
am fascinated by the sheer diversity of people one can meet. Although
I'm easy to get along with, I'm probably not all that open: you'll
need to take a while to get to know me. I must admit I'm generally
intolerant of idiots, or people who get hung up on posessions and
materialism, I can't honestly see the point in accumulation of
wealth... it does nothing for the development of your soul and you
can't take it with you when you die!
I can be occasionally moody but it usually doesn't last long.... I
get a kick from seeing music performed live, though I'm not really one
for crowds... I love my first coffee and cigarette in the morning, I
have a passion for brunettes and I love to get out of the city and go
for long drives, just to get that nature hit, though I'm really an
urban dweller...
Gosh, what else? I'm a realist but I still believe in dreams, sleeping
is a favourite hobby and pastime (the dreams are the best part) and
I've been told that I have a nice speaking voice (it's that
Anglo/Aussie crossover apparently). I'm Australian by birth but I
think my true ancestral and spiritual home is England.... I long for
those green hills and dales..... :o)
And that's about it!
Interests: music, art, design, sound engineering, good books, cinema,
popular culture, people and life in general....
