Self-Description: I was born with very red hair that lightened as I grew to
strawberry blond. I have the typical red-head complexion, with blue
eyes, freckles, and the tendency to turn bright scarlet at the touch
of the sun or the slightest embarrassment. I have a slight build, 5
feet, 4 inches tall, and slender-ish. I have horrible eyesight, being
very nearsighted, I can't see anything more than a foot away without
contacts or glasses. I also have very small feet. A fact that may be
unnecessary, except for the fact that I have a horrible time finding
shoes, which I love, for prices that I can afford, being a starving
college student. (So far Nordstrom is the best place in terms of sizes
and quality, however due to their prices, I can only shop half as
often as I'd like.)
I am a very laid back person, it takes a lot to rile me, mostly
because my temper is SO bad. (I wonder what that's from?) I have my
quirks however, and I have been known to hold a grudge. I'm very quiet
and kind of shy in public or in large groups. I am a very good
listener, and I seem to draw the confidences of people I know. I may
not say much, but when I do I try to make sure it's important or
relevant. Strangely I have a very odd sense of humor, many friends
would term it dirty...I just think I'm very open minded. I get along
with all types of people, except those who are very extreme and very
vocal in their views. I am definitely a feminist, and I tend to be
very pro-choice. Since I have come to college, I have fell into a
group of Computer Science majors, which colors my perspective on life
to a large degree. Being an Anthropologist, this is very interesting
to experience because if there was ever a sub culture in college, it's
CS majors. The majority of my good friends are male, I guess because
I'm not a girly girl most of the time. I tend to be rather
tom-boyish, playing lots of video games and fiddling with the guts of
my computer. However when the mood strikes me, I am all woman.
(Especially when there are bugs close by...)
Children: Not yet thank goodness.
Interests: I am interested in animals of any sort, but especially dogs
and horses, my biggest dream is to own enough property to have a horse
or two and dogs. I want a golden retriever with dark reddish
fur...hmmm...are we seeing a trend here? I also love children, and I
hope to teach elementary school some day.
I love computers and computer games, both console games and PC games.
I love web comics and even online games. I am addicted to Everquest
and Userfriendly.org, which is a great comic. Having mostly guy
friends who are computer majors, I am very comfortable with computers
and enjoy ripping them open, performing surgery, and putting them back
together.
My greatest love however, has always, and always will be reading. I
started when I was three years old, and have had my nose in a book
ever since. I love historical fiction, well written romance, (smut
novels) and fantasy especially. However I will read anything. I
especially love the Harry Potter books and the books by Jean M. Auel.
I also am a very domestic person, not that I like to clean *ick* or to
cook really, but I love just being at home and lazing around. I can
be very lazy. I do however sew, knit, and embroider. Crafts being
one method of stress relief for me.
These are just a few of my interests, it's hard to sit and try and
list them all in a way that will be interesting for others to read, so
I'll add more later as I think of them.
