Self-Description: I'm a student, and I adore the English Literature I study. I'm
originally from London, but live in Durham - a beautiful Cathedral city
'Up North', where I often take rooms in the Castle, my college! I take a
very active part in university life, running the Gallery in Artsweek
that displays all the college's artistic talent, making costumes and
props for college productions, and sitting in my new post as Publicity
Secretary for DULOG (the Durham Light Opera Group). I also make costumes
for the myriad theme parties we seem to have up here, and I could drink
for Britain...if I wanted to! Instead i prefer to take my camera along
and capture interesting portrait prints of my friends, though my
photography skills are not necessarily represented in the photos here! I
love my friends, family and boyfriend most in my life (of course)
Children: Am planning on getting a kitten soon!
Interests: I love music, art and theatre; I danced classical ballet and
tap until the age of sixteen, play the violin - mostly irish ceilidh
music - and sang in several choirs before giving them up for Uni, and
joining the band Meretrix, which i sing with at the holidays, and which
is made up of some of my best friends. I'm also quite active with the
theatrical societies at College, though I'm starting to prefer being
behind the scenes, doing production and props and costumes. I also write
and edit, though not yet professionally. I keep a website - undergoing
rehaul - and PAINT furiously - anything! Portraiture, landscapes, to a
certain degree, and only if they're not real, and bizarre mindscapes in
any style, any medium. I love it - it's not work!
