Self-Description: A Sagittarian in western astrology, and born in the year of the Dragon
in Chinese astrology. I love adventure... travel...star-gazing...
waterfalls... the ocean... thunderstorms (the air is so electric!)... flying
kites - I even have a foldable one so I can take it anywhere I go... Assateague
Island and the ponies... baseball (go Orioles!)... walks in the forest...and on
and on and on...
I was married to an engineer in the British Merchant Navy many years ago and
had the opportunity to travel to places like Japan, the Phillipines, Hong Kong,
China, Singapore and Bali and that certainly fulfilled my travel dreams. It
was on a cargo ship and that was still an adventure...
I am an idealist and not interested in politics. I am VERY interested in
alternative health modalities and have managed the office for a naturopath for
the past ten years. There are so many levels to health and they are not all
physical. Currently being in the throes of menopause, I am relishing my
journey to wisdom and joyfulness.. not that I have not been joyful up until
now... it's just that it's a real transformation.
Children: Sara, age 27, lives in Tucson AZ and loves doing all sorts of
theatre and improv, though she has a 'real' job too.
Lauren, age 23, finally got a job 6 months after college graduation and never
wants to leave home... we'll see about that!!
Interests: limitless, unending, and diverse... being a Sag I am always up for
something new and my problem is staying the course with things sometimes.
Still, I am getting better at taking a bit more time for myself and staying on
track more often than not. I am a student of metaphysics and love things
mystical and unexplainable. Think of the possibilities!! Reading is a joy
and most times it's a book about something spiritual, health-oriented or
personal development. I also try to eat mostly organic foods, though I'm not a
vegetarian. I believe balance is the key in everything.
