Self-Description: Born a Marine Brat on the west coast, raised on the
east coast. Furious that we never moved like other military brats. My
brother and I were the only two redheads in school up through high
school. Had braces at 8 and glasses when I got the braces off, so there
was always the double whammy. Grew up following my own drummer. Hated
being called a Carrot Top, never minded the other names. My hair is not
and never was Orange.
I'm now finished with college (Math Major at NC State University) with a
great circle of friends who love my red hair.
I currently have two wonderful jobs that I wouldn't trade. My day job
is doing clerical work in an accounting office. I love doing paper work
and working with numbers. We have a total of 4 red heads in the office.
Growing up with my brother and dad who are both redheads and both have
the tempers to match, I never developed such a temper myself.
My other job is my passion. I'm an events coordinator on US Chess Live,
an online chess playing site. I grew up playing chess and its my
lifeline through good and bad.
I currently share an apartment with my brother and his fiancee. She
could be a redhead herself! They have doozy of arguments but I love
them both.
I'm avid reader and dreamer. I love unicorns, wizards, dolphins, and
all fanciful notions. I'm grounded in reality, and love the security
and power of having my life under my control.
I'm quiet and shy except on the net. I believe in the rules but believe
in bending them even more. I'm a quiet lover but more then willing to
demonstrate my passionate side.
I'm a Virgo and a Monkey in the Chinese horoscopes and both describe me
to a T.
I love being a redhead and wouldn't dream of being anything other then
me.
Interests: I love to read scifi, fantasy, trashy romance, and spy
thrillers. I have a passion for playing chess. I love writing though
currently only poetry -- can't seem to get the words from my head for
stories. I love playing sports, but am generally with my head in the
clouds too often to play well. I love horseback riding, airplanes, and
a myraid of other things if you can drag me away from the computer long
enough to do them. *GRIN*
