Self-Description: There are only two things worth collecting in life--friends and
experiences. I've been fortunate to have accumulated a lot of both. I
became a writer because, in addition to a strange ability to spell
anything I've seen at least once, I have a short attention span and I
want to be able to try something new every couple of weeks without
having to switch careers to do it. I'm a nerd and a tomboy and a bit
hyperactive. I'm usually in the middle of about 3 different books, I
still climb trees, and I love trying to rip the arms off of sweaty guys
in judo class. I like to travel and explore my own city. I'm a sucker
for a good story and I like meeting new people and learning what makes
them tick. However, I've lost my patience for the stupid, dogmatic,
prejudiced, closed-minded, pretentious and materialistic people who seem
to multiply like bacteria. I have a low tolerance for people who
consider shopping a hobby and for folks who watch reality TV. I don't
want to wake up on my 90th birthday and realize I've spend my entire existence watching other
people live.
