Self-Description: I'm a peaceful, joyful, easy-going person. I once thought that redheads all have a fiery and
sometimes violent temper. It's what many of us have been told (by non-redheads). For many years, I
fought against this stereotype only to find that I became more angry as I tried to push those
impulses away.
I now know that in order to be what we are meant to be, we have to stop resisting what we don't want
to become. My natural state is calm and relaxed. My martial arts practice has intensified this
feeling. When I received my black belt in Pa-Kua in May 2003, it was the second happiest day of my
life (after my wedding day!) and the day of feeling the most accomplishment in life.
I am no longer ruled by impulses, desires, and anger. It is so terribly wonderful to come home from
work to my marvelous wife and loving cat. I am truly at peace.
Interests: My martial arts (Pa-Kua style) also includes yoga & acupuncture.
Our DVD collection is enormous (over 1,500) in various categories. We especially like non-standard fare, such as foreign films.
I'm a songwriter and musician and have recorded a demo many years ago. I sing and play guitar, bass, drums, trumpet, and a few other "lesser" instruments.
I enjoy the outdoors as long as I have plenty of sunscreen on!
I most enjoy spending time with my wife because we share nearly all of the same interests!
More: Our cat is named "Morgan", but more formally, "Morgan la Fey" after the Bradley book, "Mists
of Avalon."
She doesn't act like a typical cat. She knows a few tricks, nearly always comes when she's called,
and she likes to be in the same room with us except maybe at night.
We think that's because we rescued her when she was abandoned by her owner dying.
She play-fights with us and flops down on the floor when she wants to be petted. She's a sweetie!
