Self-Description: Full of contrasts - sometimes very logical, methodical & conscientious,
other times a spontaneous, free-spirited procrastinator; a left-brained
computer geek who is also a right-brained musician & writer; a Christian & a
sinner.
Generally, though, I'm pretty easy-going, laid-back, out-going & gregarious
with a sense of humor as dry as the desert air I was born into (I'm an
inveterate & unashamed punster).
Been happily married for over 28 years (got married on my 21st birthday - best
birthday present ever & the most fun I've had unwrapping a present, too!) Have
a great son (he's 22 & a redhead, too).
My day job is computer programming (at least until my job gets shipped off to
India or China). The pay & benefits are great, but my heart is really in music.
I've been a mobile DJ since the late 80's (it's a very serious & enjoyable
hobby). I also sing, play percussion & run the sound for an acoustic trio
called Anthology.
There's way too much to tell in a few sentences, but that's a high-level intro.
Children: one redheaded son (22 yrs old)
Interests: Make music, racquetball, play music, ride bicycle, collect music,
reading, listen to music, fine dining, recording music, hiking, did I mention
music?...
I volunteer regularly (Habitat for Humanity, Race for the Cure, local food
banks, etc.) & donate blood regularly (over 11 gallons so far). And as Marshall
Crenshaw sang, "I hate TV" - I want to be a participant in life, not an
observer!
More: I wear my red hair long & I wear a kilt anywhere & everywhere (no more
pants for me, thank you) - not just because I'm part Scottish (clan Robertson),
but mostly because it's very comfortable (nothin' like a breeze between the
knees), healthful (give yer stones some room, mon!), different (why be normal
are words I live by) & I don't worry about what others think. Being a redhead I
never really fit in with the crowd & that has given me the freedom to embrace &
enjoy my uniqueness.
