Self-Description: She loves : the 'ornate', truth (but not necessarily reality), computers, bizarre science, chrome, neuroscience, equality, love, sex, large trans-continental railway stations, large mugs of steaming coffee, leather (and the cows they came from), wattle, the smell of a good single malt whisky, wood, loreena mckennitt (for both her music and writings). Peace.
She tries lives a lieless life but sometimes fails (getting better though!). She has a penchant for red wine. She wishes she never ran out of coffee, milk or apples. She loves the cello and the harpsichord. She loves caramel. She has an eye for antiques and modern furniture too, likes old maps and anything that can be used for storage - boxes, crates, baskets, folders, envelopes.
Her blond-headed, blue-eyed son who looks nothing like her is half-French, half-Australian and yet cannot help speaking English with a French accent.
She wants to learn so much it sometimes hurts. Her interests are many and varied. She finds it hard to find one path and stay on it.
She should be an Australian radio star.
Her family is strange (aren't they all?). Most in Melbourne. Yet somehow detached. Her ancestors were Scottish, English, Irish and Swedish - all immigrants - and obviously didn't heed the warnings of Australia being a Penal Colony. There's likely to be a convict shoved in amongst them all somewhere.
She is the Queen of Procrastination unless properly motivated, in which case, look out world.
A self proclaimed book, photography and gaming addict, she has found it difficult to prioritise. She likes to help out as much as possible, and often takes on more than she can handle. Especially in online communities.
Her obsession with languages is known, as is her obsession with Iceland. She is known-of by Icelanders she does not know herself (this may or may not be a good thing).
She is also rather verbose.
