Self-Description: My father predicted six weeks before I was born that I would be a redheaded little
girl. I am the youngest of 5 and the only red head. I have 10 nieces and nephews and my
goddaughter is the only redhead of them all. She proudly with tell anyone that asks that
she got her red hair from her godmother! I work for an agency that provided scholarships
and mentoring to 70 children from low income families in the city of Chicago. The family
that we serve are mainly African American or Latino, that being said, my red hair and
freckles have been the topic of many discusses by the kids in the program. One of the
little ones, once asked what the spots were on my arms and how did I end up with red hair?
It was actually very sweet.
Children: none of mine own but I work with 70 children ranging in age from 5 - 14.
Interests: spending time with my nieces and nephews (and their parents), hanging out with
my friends, riding my bike along the lakefront, watching Trading Spaces, going for long
walks around my neighborhood.
