Jillfaraway - As my user name suggests, there is a girl long lost here. As I read other's profiles I noticed a pattern of life loving, spontaneous spirits. This is the person I also used to be, but with the years and added responsibilities, my youthful heart has aged, but it has not died. There is still the same spark in my eye, it is just not seen as often. The things that renew my soul are seeing my children laugh, standing barefoot in a moving body of water listening to the wind, and the emotion and power of music well done.
Tyn Rhos - I try to be helpful to the folks around me, and be patient. I try to look on the bright side of things, and have a sense of humor. I am quiet, and like things peaceful, and steady. I don't like wasting time, or sitting around. I have to be doing something, all the time. I think alot about life and God, and people in general, and try to understand, and learn.
KaraTop - I am currently working as a Materials & Processes engineer on the International Space Station. I've lived in the Houston area for a little over 4 years and am currently attending law school part-time while continuing to work full-time. I am the youngest of 5 children and have 11 nieces and nephews. I don't have any children of my own, but I have a dark grey tabby. I enjoy spending time with my husband (we just got married in May).
cherrylox - Well, I've been a redhead since I was a baby. I grew up with strawberry blonde hair that eventually turned into an auburn shade. I had hair to the middle of my back which I chopped off to my ears (big misake lol) in March, now it's in the process of growing back. I just need change, It's me. I'm very outgoing, have a great sense of humor and bubbily. I can be deep sometimes too!! So, do redheads have fiery personalities? You bet ur !@#$ they do!! ; ) (wink wink). WillyB - I am usually quietly considerate and thoughtful unless I am with close friends that I know well enough to tease. (Razor wit is a two-edged sword) Since discovering new perspectives and learning new things have become a passion for me, I usually listen more than I talk. Introspective and philosophical about life, love, and family, I try to keep the main thing the main thing. While my work is very important to me, my job is not my life. My Celtic heritage makes me absolutely captivated by time, seasons, cycles, beginnings, endings, birth, & death. I am not religious, but am very spiritual. I strive every day to be true to myself and was recently rewarded with a marriage to my soul mate.
Owlfriend - I was born a chubby baby with blood red hair and according to my Mom a sweet disposition (poor thing didn't know what she'd gotten into--I guess I put on the charm for her so that later on she wouldn't get rid of me when I started being a "know it all".). As an adult I'm a tall, auburn-haired woman who is a combination of outspoken seriousness and utter silliness mixed with a decent helping of the mythical red head temper on my bad days (luckily for my husband that isn't often).
Joliesse - I would describe myself as and energetic musical soul. I love music in all of it's aspects...I can always be found playing my guitar, my music too loud in my car or condo, or rollerblading with headphones,and my portable stereo at work. I am also very spiritual. I was baptized Catholic when I was just a baby you really aren't given much choice in that, however I feel that as a person that I am mostly Agnostic. I feel that all of the religions pretty much have their main points right and the same except that the details are different. Try to be good to each other and try to live a decent life. I also believe that there is a higher being of consciousness other than ourselves to soem it's "GOD" to some it's Vishnu, to some it's Thor....It took me many years of going to different chruches trying to "find my faith" to figure that out. And to accept that the feeling I was having was okay.
Ferggie - For the most part I'm a very nice person. A great friend to have. However I also have my other side, I feel stupid people should not breed, and have very little tolerance for them. I can be very sweet but I can also be a total bitch, if pushed. I'm a cancer. A Homebody, but I love to have fun!! My kids are the most important thing in my life.
IrishRed - I grew up hating the color that seemed to reign over my life but now realize that it is a gift and I wear it with pride. I get very insulted when people ask if it is dyed or permed as it has never seen a chemical. Thank God I am Irish as it seems if you are a redhead you must automatically be from the fabled land. My poor husband, having never been exposed to a redhead, quickly succumbed although I am sure hear him pray at night that I become brunette. I hope that one day I will be blessed with a redhead girl so I can teach her the ways of the hair color that brings so much misconception and obsession. I have lived all over the US including NYC, Boston, Sitka Alaska, and St. Louis Missouri and now reside in lovely Ohio although the itch of wunderlust has hit again and I am trying to convince my husband that perhaps Vermont would be a lovely place to start a family.
Coral - I'm an athlete and play all kinds of sports, well. I play many different card games, sing and dance. I'm around 5'4" and I am in very good shape. I have a lot of muscle tone and get accused of working out, I don't. That's like having another full time job. I hang around with mostly men and can be rather crude, but with a good sense of humour that is just slightly tinted with sarcasm. I live in the north, above the Arctic Circle. Hate ignorant people, but really enjoy people who will ask intelligent questions. I'm also told I'm quite good looking and have a great butt!
AufderLove - *done in the third person* Courtney vasilates between being gregarious & out-going and intreverted & non verbal. She is moody, sensative, eccentric, out-spoken, loving (both warm and cold). She particularly intelligent which is coinveinent, but unfortuanatly leads to being a smart-ass. Courtney loves to challenge anything and everything... in her mothers words, "there is nothing she wont question and give the flipside view to (i.e... people, religion, theorys, facts, society, authority, friends, family, any particular set of rules and social standards...) She would prefer to take the side of the under dog anyday, as she is sesative to vulnerbility."
shotiz - I am 36 years old and live in northeastern Oklahoma.... I have lived here almost all of my life, and love it. I have three sons, and 1 daughter ranging from grown to working on grown, and am in some ways happy about their growing up so quickly, and in other ways I almost wish they were all still babies again. I am married to a good man, and although we have our bad days, we still love each other and have managed to put up with each other for 10 years now. I have the typical red head temperment, and sometimes things get a little warm, but it always works out for the best. I have a condition that is called bi-polar depression, which means that some days I am fine and other days I cannot deal with the world and tend to withdraw. I have been in therapy and am dealing with it, I really don't have any other choice. I cannot work because of my depression, and I sure do miss working in the hospital, where I was in records... I miss the satifaction that I felt at the end of the day.... maybe in the future I can return to work, I can only wait and see.
firefly - I am a very shy and mysterious person, but very affectionate toward those I trust and admire. I love music, music means eveything to me. I look for intelligence and honesty in others. I'm very sensitive, very emotional, and I pay attention to details. I don't overlook things often.
Jackielyn - Hello my fellow reds! When I was a little kid I used to deny the fact that I was a red head, but i've come to terms with my color and it's not that bad!! I like being only 3-5% of the population...unique, just like everyone else! Well, you could say that I'm happy and cheerful most of the time. I like to consider myself funny sometimes...I don't know if everyone else does though...I have a wonderful boyfriend, we've been dating for almost 2 yrs! I also live with my family, considering I'm still in high school, which would explain why I'm waiting for a couple years for kids.

craziness - I don't know if that's my actual haircolor. I tried to ask a beautician, and she gave me a perplexed look and offered that. Such is why I always just say "red." Anyway, moving on, people always ask me what I would classify myself as, and I really have no clue. I like to just say I'm a writer, and I think that summarizes the position pretty well. To have the flexibility to be everyone else, it's hard to have a defined sense of your Self. I'm a very open person about everything in life, and that leaves me with that undefinition as well. I'm a vegetarian, an agnostic but somewhat spiritual, somewhat punk, an artist, a scientist, a mathematician, an actress, a singer, a reluctant leader (I do it when it needs to be done, and do it well, but I have no desire for power over others because I don't like to be led), and so on and so forth. I'm an individualist I suppose, but I love people. Hurting them hurts me, and I always love to help, but I have to be alone a lot as well.

Ali32D - Well...I'm a college student studying to be a Special Education teacher, which is something I absolutely love. I'm a good shoulder to cry on and a good ear to talk to, and sooo often end up being "one of the guys" for that reason :). I'm not afraid to get dirty and wrestle and play, but I also love being dressed up and ALL girl. I'm working 2 jobs...one as an assistant office manager and the other waiting tables for some extra cash, and people come in and ask for the "cute little redhead waitress." If someone had told me years ago that my red hair would be helping me make some money, I'd have never believed em. But the days of "firecrotch" are over, and now I LOVE being a carrot top.

SuperRJMan - I'm 6' tall with the light red hair and grey green eyes. I'm shy at first, because I don't know how to let myself go around strangers, but once I get to know people I'm often very outgoing and outspoken with them. I like to deal with people, and can't understand for the life of me why I'm in such a technical field. I go to school in Pennsylvania, up north where it's snowy 6 months out of the year, and while I hate the climate my college is nice. I'm originally from Colorado, where it's beautiful all day long, and I'd like to go back there and marry my girlfriend as soon as school is over.
julianna - well, i am VERY happy! i am always smiling or cracking a joke. i love people! i love being with and around them. i am 16 years old. i am very sensitive. and i get jealous VERY easily. im not sure why. im really athletic. so is my dad. and get this! neither of my parents have red hair, or there parents, its a big mystery why i have red hair. :) its not dyed of course. i have never dyed it cause my mom won't let me :) anyway. yep thats me i guess... happy little me! *jumps*
Oktobreana - I'm driven by my emotions which can be good or bad. I love poetry; it's what keeps my sanity. The most important thing in my life is my husband, James. He is absolutely my driving force. I love children though we don't have any yet. Despite my melancholy nature, I also love to laugh and do it as often as possible. My parents and I all have red hair, and one of the funniest yet most repetitive comments we hear is "You all have red hair!" People find it astounding that there is an entire family of redheads on Earth. It's like we're the Loch Ness monster or something.
Starr - To be brutally honest, I am moody. One minute I am up and the next I could be crying my eyes out, that's just how I am. Most of the time though I am quiet, studying everyone and everything around me, always analyzing and taking things in. I would like to think I'm a very empathetic person, especially towards animals. I am an introvert, the one you might see sitting alone in a corner at a party but then again, a mood swing will come on and I'll be one of the wildest ones there. I am also ever changing, mostly my appearance by streaking my hair, changing body jewelry, make up, what have you to satisfy my need to be different than I was yesterday. If I'm not changing my appearance then I'm rearranging furniture or pictures, I bore easily so I'm always looking for something to do.
FieryAsHell - I am a fiery redhead seasoned in the sun of the south. Fiery describes not only my coloring, but my passions as well. I feel things deeply, and hold very strong opinions. I am, however, surprisingly open-minded (and stubborn as hell on a few things).

tubawoman - Well, I live out in the middle of nowhere in Kentucky so we come up with different things to do with our time. I stand 5'5" and being in the national guard, with red hair, and a bit of a temper-you can imagine how hard it is to find a decent guy. :) Just kidding, I have a wonderful guy who treats me the best. I have dark brown eyes that are so close to the color black it's not even funny, they make me look kinda evil I think. The feature I do like best about me is my hair and it's taken me a while to get used to being someone with a hair color that stands out in a crowd, but with the attitude I have and the way I present myself, I'm asking for it.....

Like both water and fire I flow with and around what life brings to me. Like the lion I roam far and wide across the land I call home. Properly respected I provide warmth and comfort, let me get out of hand and I can burn. I was born and grew up in Colorado Springs, and have been wandering the mountains ever since. JP - You know, as a child, I HATED my red hair. I was the only one in my family with hair like this, the only kid on the block with hair like this, and the only kid in school with this stupid hair! I hated it because I was painfully shy and self-conscious - and a headful of bright red hair is the LAST thing a shy kid needs. It's taken a couple of decades, but I actually like my hair now (and wouldn't you know it - it's turning gray). It sets me apart from the crowd (although not on this web site) and is an integral part of who I am. So, who am I? Well, I'm a father first off. Although my boys are currently living with their Mom. I just moved to Philadelphia to be a bit closer to them and to make day trips possible. Before that, it was a long, long drive (or a short plane ride). When I'm not being a Dad, I'm a scientist - a biologist to be more specific. That's pretty much the rest of my existence these days. When I don't have my boys with me, I spend most of my waking hours in the lab or on the computer in my office. I suppose you could say that I like what I do. Or maybe I'm just avoiding having a "real" life. One of these days, I'll have to figure that one out...
bigred66 - You the know the saying "Milk...it does a body good?". Well...being in Wisconsin and drinking milk as a kid shot my height up to 6'1" which is VERY tall for a female. The height alone gets alot of looks but top it with redhair...aye carumba. Fortunately...I have a great personality and am very outgoing and have alot of confidence in myself. My co-workers and friends seem to enjoy my company and my sense of humor and I do have a hard time being serious when it's my nature to be easy going and layed back. Hoppy - I'm a young out-going gal living in Kentucky. Most people say that I am funny, and I like to think that I am :D I'm a Christian, and I go to a pentecostal church which I completely adore! Something really crazy about me is that I am incredibly friendly--almost too friendly! Haha, I try to be nice, but sometimes I make friends that I don't want because I'm so nice. I love to spend time with my family. My brother, who is 17, is practically my best friend, and my parents are the coolest folks around! I also love to listen to almost all music, except oldies, and most country. I'm especially fond of Hanson, Blessid Union of Souls, and Linkin Park, my music tastes vary by the day. I'm quiet at times, but once I get to know people I can be extremely loud, even obnoxious and scary. unfaery - I'm a uber-geeky sardonic weird curvy little minisized girl trying to make the best of living in smalltown USA. Ask me if I talk too much and I'll probably chat your ear off for an hour-I'm pretty outgoing, and outspoken about my opinions, at that. Although I love myself and time to myself, I'm also very generous at times and can be pretty fun in social situations since I LOVE to ham it up and make people laugh. My sense of humor is rather sarcastic and dry, but I try not to scare people too bad. ;) At the center of my life is the arts. I love music, visual arts, writing, performing arts... you name the art, I've probably at least dabbled in it, if I'm not already totally immersed in it. I write(poetry, short stories, whatever), attempt to play guitar, am in speech & drama, choir, draw, and have a very deep appreciation of music(I love all music but I'm a metalhead at heart). Once I get out of high school I plan to move and go on to college, possibly an english, theatre, or music major.

I'm versatile and enjoy variety, I can be accommodating and obliging, but don't stroke my back the wrong way! I'm flamboyant and tend to spread too wide, but I become over-meticolous when it comes to work. I'm extreme...always!
Angel Angela - I am 5'5 and 115 lbs so i am pretty small but i tend to make a big impresion on people (think it might have to do with the red hair that comes down to my shoulders nowadays). My life never is boring for a minute i always have something big happening in my life. I am pretty laid back most of the time but when i build up energy i am like a whole different person. To my dismay though i tend to get sick alot but i am getting pretty used to it, people around me just think i am weird which i am :) how fun would it be to be normal?
Vicki J - I am a very friendly and caring person - not really the hot-tempered red head that we are all labeled as. Although I can be competitive (especially at work) I care a lot about other people and am usually a person that people feel comfortable confiding in. I volunteer at a local (Christian based) Pregnancy center one evening a week and really enjoy it. I think I probably should have chosen a career in some type of counseling or Psychology. People really interest me. I have been married to a wonderful man for 11 years - whom I thank God for every day! He is an engineer and totally opposite me in personality. He plans things thoroughly and makes decisions based on fact. I usually go with what I feel is right. I love to socialize and talk to everyone and he doesn't mind having time to himself and has only one or two close friends. Our differences keep it interesting. I am not wealthy or famous, but very happy and thankful for all the many blessings in my life.
Sylvia - Being a Libra, I'm supposed to be balanced. Well, I am. I'm either extremely full of energy or I'm not - it all balances out in the end. :) I'm fairly outgoing at times, and introverted at others. Depends on my energy level at the time. I love helping people, although it can wear me out if I'm not careful to conserve myself. I really put my all into everything I'm interested in. Either I do something or I don't. That's that. There's no in-between for me. I try my best to be fair and calm with people. It takes a lot to get me mad, and when I am, I can usually calm down fairly quickly.

For those not familiar with astrology, this means that I have at least two personalities(Gemini), I am a sensitive, nurturing person(Cancer), who is secretive, sexy and intense(Scorpio). I am intelligent, warm, giving, and independent, but can be difficult at times. Others percieve me as extroverted, but I am an introvert. I have two children who are both in college and a grandson who is a joy. My son Justin is Brilliant, sensitive and able to communicate well. My son Jamey is Courageous and kind, with a huge heart and a great sense of humor. I also have a grandson Dylan who is my joy. I am so blessed. After trying to maintain superwoman status for too many years, I am back in school to learn to program. I would be strictly a student forever if I could. It is fun being the grandma at school. I hope to write a book one day, but should try to learn spelling and punctuation first. I can never remember a joke, but I laugh at myself alot.
Lamia - I'm an 18 year old student in North Wales, UK. Generally, I'm a very friendly person but when somebody crosses me, the fiery temper comes into force. I love being with other people and laughing and as a result I like to go out a lot. I suppose people would categorise me as being a goth, which I don't really mind, though I like to think of myself as being an individual. Many of my friends try to pursuade me to dye my hair black, but I'm extremely proud of being a true redhead after all, whoever said blondes have the most fun wasn't a redhead. Besides, if I were to dye my hair black, I'd just be conforming to the alternative norm... I'm not the kinda gal to conform to anything.

True2myself - Im a 9th grade sarcastic brat. I find pleasure out of pissing people off. I am an actor, and I have many sides of myself. I can choose which one to use, and easily pull it off. I can also imitate someone directly to their face...confuses the hell outa them. Anyway, I have a huge temper, and anything sets me off. If someone pisses me off, they will pay. In emotional pain, humiliation, or a great prank. You leave me alone, I will leave you alone. You treat me like crap, I will ALWAYS be there to annoy you.
Vanora - I'm your typical smart ass redhead with an Irish temper most of my male friends cower at the mention of, fearing the wrath of all my 5'2"-ishness. An old friend once said of me, "No one can take down a person's self confidence with one sentence the way she can." I'm currently slogging my way through school on about my sixth major thus far, and at the moment I'm having a go at graphic art and hopefully I will actually finish this new degree.
MaggieC321 - I am a very interested in other people and what makes them tick. I am highly organized and tend to be a workaholic. I usually have 9 things going at once and wouldn't know how to live any other way. I am proud to be a redhead as I view it as what makes me stand out.
x - i'm a total hopeless romantic and hope that someday my prince charming will come. i'm also very realistic and know that all the good guys are either taken or gay.. or both. oh well, there is always vibrators. *sly grin* i've been in my share of bad relationships in the past, and honestly, i don't want to go down that road again. but i also know it's better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all... i'm also wondering if my heart will ever realize that. in all honesty, i'm just your typical girl looking for her way in this big world of ours. i have a few bumps and bruises, some scars that won't go away, and i've shed my share of tears in the past but in the end i'll come through. i always do.
