amanning21 - Well as I'm sure you know I'm a red-head. I have a crazy fun-loving attitude. But I'm also one of the most organization craving people I know. I love everything to be neat, clean and perfect. And as most other red heads I have a horrible temper, that I have trouble controlling at time. But all the people that know and love me accept, most of the time :)!
PoppyRed - I am a very unique individual (just like everyone else *smile*). I love having red hair, but don't fix it up very often and rarely wear makeup. I was born with blonde hair, but it turned to strawberry blonde by age five and then gradually turned to copper. I am five feet 'short' and have a pleasingly plump figure. I really don't have the typical temper associated with redheads, but I do have fiery flare. It makes me smile when I see a blonde or brunette woman buy a box of red hair color because there was a time when red hair wasn't as popular as it is now.
Slugo - Free Spirit. I belong to a motorcycle club, Steel Justice MC of IL. I also am a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 916. My spiritual path is Pictish Wicca with some studies in Druidism. I was born a tow head (white hair) but, as I aged (like any fine wine) my hair became strawberry blond. My beard however comes in white but with length it reddens. As far as tempers go, it is a slow wick, but look out when it goes off. My mother and sister are dark red heads (auburn).
Tvelyn - hmmm...let's see...well, obviously, i have red hair. strawberry blonde to be exact. It's pretty darn long, too; all the way down to my waist. it's been that way ever since i could grow it that long, so i'm kinda emotionally attatched to it. i like to think of myself as the artsy type, though i'm not too painfully deep or abstract...just a little out-of-the-ordinary thought now and then. i have NO idea where i got my hair or eye colors; my mom's a dirty blonde and my dad has dark brown hair. i'm a freak of nature.
Crawfish - Hi, I'm Crawford. I live in the New Orleans area and am a Louisiana native. I have a red headed father, aunt and nephew. I have no children and have not married. My golden retriever has red hair though. Other than that, I am a 5'11" testarossa guy with dark red hair on my chest that gets lighter elsewhere. My red hair is copper in sunlight so I qualify as a coppertop. By occupation, I am an attorney and I like to do litigation. I don't know if having red hair helps or hurts yet with juries...
Purifyer - A male redhead! In a society obsessed with stereotypes any outsider would presume I was put at immediate disadvantage :). Apart from new friends tending to think my deathly white skin stems from habitual avoidance of the sun for the past 19 years, its all good! I mock myself more than is true, I assure my skin meets a healthy shade of pink :). Enough with the introduction, who am I? A contradiction would perhaps sum me up in one line. Im outgoing, intraverted, boring and fun, with a self diagnosis of manic depression to boot! I am quick to temper, but fortunately as many of my arguments are with men taller and stronger than I am, it rarely comes to anything.
wyldfiregyrl - I am a recent re-locatee to the PA area, being as I am from CA originally I dont know how I feel about all of this "cold" business.
I had been living Istanbul previously where my red hair did attract quite a lof of attention, and actually I met more red headed people with brown eyes there than I ever have in the US.
It turns out there is a village of people on the black sea coast who for the most part have red hair and brown eyes.... I couldnt believe it... I believe I have found.... "My People" :)
firevixen - well my name is chelsie. I am from british columbia and i am about 5'5. I like to do sports and anything active cause i am a very active person! I have been on my schools track and field team for over 5 years and i love it. I am planning on goin to emily carr to get a scholarship in design. I have a dog and his name is lucky he's a rottweiler.
JLeigh - I've been described as the ultimate redhead. All the textbook stuff comes included in the package. Things like intelligence, charm, and a sometimes quirky nature. Unfortunately, or sometimes fortunately, I come complete with that famous inferno of a temper. I currently live with the most fabulously understanding man who has a talent for disapearing when the mercury rises to dangerous levels and actually seems to love me just that much more when I get really stuborn. I have three children (none of them are redheads, in fact the youngest is blonder than Marilyn Monroe) who will never understand what makes Mom tick.
sycoticredhead - Well let's see I'm usually a really sweet girl. I'm kind of shy but once ZI get to know you I'm alot of fun! I'm pretty outgoing and will try anything once. I get tons of compliments on my hair. What can I say, I love it an would never trade it! Like most redheads I have a very firey temper >:)
Azura - A Taurus with red hair, I do have that infamous temper. Fortunately it only flairs up occasionally but usually unexpectedly. I am tall, but despite the height and obvious distinguishing feature I often go unnoticed in a crowd. I have been referred to on several occasions as the "tall blond". Interesting, since my hair is not even close to anything but red. I am a fairly happy, positive person who likes close friends and intimate conversations.
Peenchie - I am 45 years of age, and relatively well-preserved because I avoid the sun and have used sun block for over 20 years. I am amused by the derision that red-heads receive in the land of bronzed Aussies, but so many women choose to go red when their own colour goes or greys. I am also amused by the number of young Asians who go red too! I find it frustrating that I am restricted by the number of colours that suit me, as it limits my choice of clothing sometimes. I am glad that nurses don't have to wear those horrible white uniforms anymore, as it never suited me. I like the admiring glances that I often get, because my red hair makes me a striking looking woman, it is my crowning glory. I am lucky that, genetically, my family go grey later in life, so my hair is also in good condition.
division_6 - Self promotion has never been my greatest ability, but here it goes. I'm a self described technophile, I love technology. I'm also an herbalist and I know a bit about aromatherapy. I'll be going through masseuse training soon as well. I'm leaving for the Army Reserves soon, after training, I'm going back to college to finish my electronics engineering degree and double major in computer science. I hope to design embedded linux systems afterward. I think that's quite enough about me.
Eric - I lived for five years in Germany while in the military and dove into the german culture, so I have mainly European ideals. For instance, people that drive slow in the left lane drive me nuts. I am of course sarcastic, a little obsessive, usually laid back, and very loyal to friends. I am very tolerant of the well intentioned. People that have no respect for others make me angry. I am a practicing Christian and have strong values. I am also open minded though and listen to logical discussions, even though I'm right. :) I want to move from Ohio, because the flat land and corn fields really bore me. Pacific Northwest/Switzerland/Scotland maybe?
Mettler - I am 5'-10", extremely athletic. I play a tremendous amount of soccer. I listen to music that I best describe as: from one end of the rainbow to the other with NO stops in between - from the heaviest deathmetal to the smoothest trance. I am an optomistic realist and deathly honest.
very_freckly - Hi, I'm Sophie, 18. I am a red head from England who like cinema, music and surfing the net. I am a comitted hacker and I guess I am 100% geek. I am a romantic at heart and love anything mushy. I am working on a new site www.frecklygirls.com as I love my freckles soo much I want people to appreciate them more. I know most red heads do. I truly have freckles all over my body hehehehe.
redgemini - I am a single working mother of 3, living in the great state of Texas. Spending time with my children is very important to me, but also believe in mommie time too. Independence is my game, and I believe in people taking care of their own. My biggest peave in life is incompentence in other people (spelled right?). I take pride in being a "Red Head"! My hair gives me a sort of strength or power, that I love.
alanisadapoe - i was told i was an easy birth and i had a small head. in fact i have alot of stories about my head and the hair on it. my mom likes to tell me that the jews royality had red hair, and she likes to show off my head. my mother had one of each colour, a blonde a brunette and me - a redhead. im her pride and joy. i always get jealous when i see a prettier redhead, because im just plain mostly and my redhair is the only feature i have going for me as of lately. im semi tall and im not badly formed. my fingernails are long, my eyelashes are red, and my skins a funky shade of peach and cream.
phried - Well, the temper has gone done by about 300-fold since I was younger. However I tend to get a little too fiesty when playing sports or being in guy-type competitive events. I was a pretty bad kid growing up and spent a lot of time in my room where I had nothing but a computer. So look at me now, I have 8 computers in my apartment, I have 3 computer-related jobs and I am going to school for Electrical Engineering (the parents' "its for your own good" line is starting to sound like maybe it wasn't all b.s.). My hair varies between a dark auburn and a medium orange depending on how much sunlight I get (Hahah I get naturally what some people get $60 highlights to try to imitate).
Wyldspin - I'm a single Mom of 3. I work at a Child Development Center with Special Needs Children as an Arts and Music Director. I'm very tall, 5'9", and I weigh 158 pounds. I don't smoke and only drink socially.
Catwoman - I'm pretty happy with where I am at the moment. Generally easy-going, good sense humour. I'm also quite ambitious, I have definite sense of how my future is going to look.
SweetFire - Friendly, honest, loyal, mischevious, responsible, witty and sometimes stubborn woman interested in friendship and good conversation. Born in Ontario and have lived across Canada and in Europe as my father was in the military.
jacob1973 - I have a dry, and sometimes silly sense of humor. I have been known to break into song at a moments notice. I'm fun-loving but know when to be serious. I am a soldier in the US Army, so I lead a fairly active lifestyle, including running 4-5 miles a day and going to the gym regularly. My love for pizza and junk food keeps me from being totally ripped. I am a journalist in the army, so writing is definitely a stong interest.
little_kitten - hey there! I am a swedish girl with kinda coppery hair. It used to be strawberry blonde (I had highlights). I was teased because of my hair when I was kid, but now I am really proud of it since it's pretty unusual. One of my biggest passions is reading, I love fantasy (Tolkien is my favourite), historical novels and biographys. I also love dancing and meeting new people. About a year ago I started to attend Yoga classes, I just love it and I think everyone should try it, as it relaxes both your body and your mind.
Pommiegirl_Kim - I am a red-headed teen who's getting ready for college, and I'm sooo incredibly ready to go, it's not even funny! I don't know how many times I've been asked what dye I use on my hair. (I trust you, it's definately real!) Even though my hair usually brings attention to me, I can actually be quite shy at times! I'm usually the rational person in my group of friends, and this helps when things get out of control! I'm a very nice & sweet girl, & have many friends & family whom I hold dear to my heart.
Courage - What can I say? I seek truth, justice. I value honor above all else. I am seen as cold by those I interact with on a daily basis, but it's only because I have learned that extended interaction with others, letting your heart grow to fond and open, leads to ache and pain. And loss. I like to read, to write. I play games professionally, as part of the Pro SF Circuit. I look for only one thing: Excitement. My favorite poet is Ariosto. My favorite woman is Nicole.
Beck - I am forever an optimist. I can be be very shy towards unfamilar people, but I warm up easily and have a spunky sense of humor.
KAB - Unlike a lot of redheads I have never disliked having red hair. I never realized that I was different until I was a teenager. I love my hair color and would never think of changing it. My brother and I both have red hair and my Mom was always asked if we were adopted since she nor my Dad had red hair. I am a pretty quiet person until I get to know someone and it amazes me how often people remember or recognize me. I finally figured out that it was because of my hair color. I can never just blend in with the crowd. I do occasionaly have someone ask me if I am a REAL redhead. It doesn't bother me but rather amuses me that they ask me that. They should be able to tell just by looking at me.
Tika - I am a very optimistic person with a generally hyper personality. I can make just about anything fun or funny. I am very lighthearted and full of sarcasm which always manages to get me in a smidget of trouble. I have always tried to do new things and things that are not expected of me such as ride motorcycles and shoot trap. I work my hardest at everything I do and I do not give up. Currently I am attending college, making good grades, and involving myself in ECA's such as cheerleading.
redbaron - I am 34 years old 5 ft 8 ins tall and single. I have a zest for life and enjoy dancing, ski-ing, travel, the arts, history and photography. I enjoy meeting people but my main fault is my fiery temper (typical red head).
edged32 - I am 21 years old and I am getting married in the summer of 2003. I am going to school to be a teacher and so is my future husband. I love to do any sports activity and I love to read. I am the oldest of three kids in my family and the only redhead. My brother has blonde and my sister's is a brownish color. I heard about this site from a fellow Redhead I work with. AND I LOVE MONTANA!!!
Chaluim - I'm a 45 year old man with the emotional scars of growing up with red hair and freckles. Being proud of my special differences I'm known to flaunt them now and then. I prefer redheaded people since they seem to understand me better than most. I'm a pollite kind of person and I like being around people who are polite and not rude. Sometimes I think I was born way too late because I still beleive chivalry should be un vouge. Rock-n-roll and blues are my favorite types of music, but I'll listen to anything with loud electric guitars.
Baronessasbags - My best friend calls me the Baronessa, due to my lifestyle. At 31, I have also come to realize the value in things other than objects: my wonderful grandparents (all four are still here with us), my loving parents, my brother and his new wife, my sister and her new husband, my littlest brother, my dear and devoted friends, and the greatest man I have ever known. I spend most of my time working on the foundation we are starting to provide surgical care to children and women around the world who have no access to these services and bringing together a business plan to open a bridal salon and skin care clinic. I have too many ideas and not enough time to do them all - just as everyone else does. Since we are both busy, we try to travel as much as possible. Lastly, I am also getting ready to face a fourth and fifth surgery on my back (the others were done in the last year and a half). While I was angry at first to have this hideous problem at my age, I realized that anger got me no where and I began to be grateful for smaller things, like being a redhead.
coppers_gal - Not your typical redhead. Attractive, intelligent, outgoing, morbid sense of humor; I suppose that could be attributed to being married to a cop. ;-) I'm a marriage/family counselor and I educate my 2 children at home.
Alma11 - Hi. I am a true red head and proud. I enjoy being myself, being what I am. I am a freethinker and act on my beliefs. I think it's funny being a redhead as its so unusual - and I have a free gift of what all people want - attention and to stand out!
Kudra - i am a 42 yr old strawberry blonde from Central california. I live in the shadow of Yosemite, work as a nurse to support my travel addiction. Ive been to europe 7 times and for my next hols ill be harrassing the ppl of Eastern Australia. I also take short trips around the US too. I love to read, write, mess about on the computer, watch sci fi and fantasy. I LOVE Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings series. Terry Goodkind and david gemmel and david eddings are my fave fantasy writers, along with Chris Bunch. When im not travelling, i like to stay at home and take walks with my dogs. I also ski and take mtn bike rides.
LouiseMarie - I am Louise and I am almost 43 years old. I am 5 feet 7 inches tall and am a bit overweight. I work for a bus company in customer services and have worked there for 14 years. I have long ginger hair. It used to be stright but before Christmas I had a spirial perm. I have 3 children and now 4 grandchildren.
kymberstorm - I'm a Virgo, and bear most characteristics associated with this sign. I'm cautious, but not at all shy. In fact, I can be quite talkative at times! I'm very loyal, unless given a good reason not to be. I'm very lucky to be blessed with two precious, healthy sons and my boyfriend, whom I consider the most beautiful and talented man in the world. I have many, many hobbies and interests that I try to devote time to, but there just aren't enough hours in the day! That's me in a nutshell ....oh, and I *love* being a redhead!
hazel_eyes - I was born a redhead and never plan to change. I love it! Although, the age old question- Are you a REAL redhead? *wink *wink- gets a little old. I just graduated from nursing school and I am extremely excited about that!! I know who I am and what I am about and if others don't like it, well, that's their problem! I love to try new things, I call things the way I see them and I'm usually not far from the mark. I can be pretty cynical, but I try to keep my chin up! One thing life has taught me is that if you don't truly believe in yourself from the start, it's gonna be a long hard road! I am just searching for a little sanity in this crazy world and having fun along the way!
Lepreman - My name is Josh Taylor and I'm 22. I live in Riverside (actually Grand Terrace, but no one's ever heard of it). I'm 5'7", about 140 lbs, red hair, blue eyes, blah blah blah. I'm currently in school to become an elementary school teacher, though it seems the longer I'm in school, the more requirements they add. I spent my first two years of college at the Naval Academy, but left early to pursue teaching. I'm still in the Naval Reserve, but on Inactive status. So far they've decided not to ship me out. I play the bagpipes for the UCR Pipe Band. I'm Christian and run the college group at my church. It's not too glorious, as we just started and are low on members, but I get my own office and studio, so I'm happy.
Jo_Rossa - I'm half Italian and half Scottish so I'm partial to traditions and good food... and I admit I have a bit of a temper (my mother says that I can suck the air out of the room when I'm pissed off). Though I'm a bit traditional when it comes to some things, I'm also quite (QUITE!) unique. For one thing, I'm a liberal democrat... in FLORIDA! Weird, I know. When I was 13 I chose to take up Buddhism and I've always been very passionate about gay rights. At age 11 I discovered my life's purpose: music. In the fall I'll be attending UCF as a music major in hopes of becoming the world's best music producer. Coming-of-age, alternative future, and spirituality are my favorite novel genres. I'm on a constant Blockbuster kick, always renting something to watch. Ever since I can remember I've always loved writing. Lately, I've come to truly enjoy "scene" short stories because I observe lots of details in life. As for a lighter side, I have a great sense of humor... it's also a bit strange... dirty... sick, whatever. But I enjoy it. So, in a nut shell, I'm a bisexual, liberal democrat, Buddhist, musician, reader, writer, shy, humorous, somewhat traditional redhead =)
LillithsRage - I'm a 5'10", 128lb walking bonfire. I absolutely love being a red head. It's the best in hair color! I'm going to college to be a successful archiologist and love any task that challanges me physically and mentally. My hobbies include a wide array of martial arts, gymnastics, painting, writing, translating ancient egyptian and any thing that gives me a rush! I am not intimidated by anything and will take any dare. In the future I hope to skydive, white water raft and travel the world. But for now I'm happy being a red head.
chrismusaf - I was born in Michigan and lived there until I was 13, then moved to South Carolina. I joined the Air Force when I was 19 and it has been the best choice I've ever made. I got my red hair from my dad, but his changed to brown. I hope mine never does!
LeeAnnie - I am a (currently) 17-year-old high school senior in San Diego. I am in most aspects, a very normal girl-next-door kind of kid. Except my hair. My friends call me "the walking mood ring" because my hair seems to change color from a light auburn to a dark red. Either way, my hair has always been one of my most distinguishing qualities. I am the editor-in-chief of my high school newspaper, and I want to study journalism in college. (Hopefully Colorado State University.) If I should sum up myself in one word, I'd have to say that I am a: writer.
rustproof21 - I'm a 21 year old college student in Western MA. I live in Eastern MA on my off time. I love music (incubus, vertical horizon, toad the wet sprocket, staind, fleetwood mac...anything but country and rap) movies, concerts, hanging out, going out, shooting pool, doing nothing... just about anything. I'm shy, sweet, and... well... ok I can't think of anything else to say. I'm a nursing major... that's cool (at least I think!)
Caranfin - A red-headed Taurus - look out, world!
My red comes from Welsh and Germanic heritage. I also have Italian and some
Native ancestry, with a smidge of Swedish and possibly French.
I've been finding myself more and more as i journey through life. I've become a
much richer personality, expanding my interests and becoming much more aware of
who i am. After spending the last four years as a secretary, i am now spending
some time figuring out what i really what to work for in my life. I have come
to a path that is a lot less religous than spiritual and is a much more personal
walk for me.
redangelwing - I am a fun-loving, social, talkative mother of 4 who likes to chat with others online because I cannot go out very much... I am a music lover... in every sense of the word.. dancing, singing, song-writing, and I love kids of course.... I am a bit of a tomboy (love sports and outdoor stuff like camping) and I usually have more in common with the guys I hang with then the women.. I am 5'2", green eyes, size 3 kids feet, and about 125 - 130 lbs.. Ilove the colour red because it is powerful, bold, and dynamic ...I am a natural redhead and I love it.
Crimsoncat - I'm anything but your "typical" redhead, as I prefer and cherish my individuality. I tend to think of myself as a "work-in-progress", even at my age! Being a Scorpio with Sun in Scorpio and the Moon in Cancer and Capricorn ascending, I'm almost always on an emotional roller-coaster. I consider myself blessed to have a man in my life (Virgo) that can handle the sometimes erratic twists and turns that I throw at him. We actually met on the internet (yes, it's possible to find love online, especially when you're not looking for it), and he relocated 1,700 miles from San Antonio, TX in August 2001. Even more to his credit, he made the trip on his motorcycle. How's that for true love conquering all? My sons all adore him, which is icing on the cake for me. We are soulmates, and are planning our wedding for November 30th, 2002. I know that my life's path is one of teaching, though not in the traditional sense. Sometimes my students are unwitting, and a few are even unwilling. (hold still, darlin' it only hurts for a bit...) I've learned that free will is a very powerful thing.
foxyredhead - hi ya im a natural redhead :-) i love the colour of my hair now:)but when i was a child i got teased alot,i suppose they teased because i was different!people often remark on the colour and lenghth of my hair, its also naturaly curly, so i just shampoo condition, and dry and ay presto my hairs done :)
michelAngelique - I'm an incredibly intense one-of-a-kind oddity. I am a life-devoted artist. I often joke that I "emerged" from my mothers womb "crayon in hand". Sometimes I have a hard time thinking of myself as anything other than as an "artist". This can be weird. I spend HUGE amounts of time alone painting and doing design work on my Mac, but I definitely need to be with others more than occassionally in highly gratifying social situations. I don't much fancy "hanging around", needing to be engaged in activity most of the time (usually involving my hands). I play a little music, mostly percussion, and LOVE to "jam". THIS is one of my favorite highly gratifying social situations! I spend a great deal of time emersed in deep contemplation. Although I do have a bit of a sardonic sense of humor, Life is pretty serious business to me.
