Helenashair - I'm someone who likes to stay really busy. I am a painter and I'm in grad school, I work full-time and teach subjects like watercolor painting and tarot reading. I am into the mystical and esoteric, as well as anything unusual that takes my fancy! I am writing my Master's Degree thesis on the role of ritual in the arts, and how it can transform people's lives. I have three ornrey cats, and they are my children.

Just_G - I am quite a smartass at times with a sharp wit. My mouth sometimes gets me into some messes, because I do not always stop and think before words fly out of it. Laughing is one of my favorite things to do and if you can make me laugh you are likely to become one of my favorite people. Even though I am an intelligent person (I like to think so, anyway)...I can be ditzy at times. Am also very easy going and don't get ruffled much...but when I do...WATCH OUT!

AngelAndie - I'm a student at SUNY Cortland studying Speech Pathology. I want to work with deaf/hearing impaired children. I would like to open my own practice someday. I also love to dance and sing. Is there a stage here? Cuz I want to be on it! Haha. Im outgoing, fun, a typical fiery red head I suppose. That's Fiesty, not B*tchy! I guess all my life I've been told I was lucky to be red head, with natural curls non the less, but I guess I never realized how cool it was untill I met my friend Jerrad. He opened my eyes to a whole new world of red heads!! I love being a red head, red heads just plain rock!

alan - My perfect day is slalom waterskiing on the lake on sunday morning. I'm pretty easygoing and on an even keel. Don't have much of a temper associated with being a redhead. I'm often labled as the nice guy,if that is good or bad I don't know. I just think character and integrity are very important.

colo - I have very good sense of humor. I'm a very honest person and love to say what I think just like I do, but sometimes I have problems because of that. My first language is spanish but I'm trying to do my best in english (please be tolerant). I love my wife and kids and like to do things outdoor with them. I love and enjoy my job. I have not a lot but a few very good friends.

Redsnapper - I am full of fire yet friendly. Love life and live each day to the fullest. I have a wonderful husband, an incredible son (who is a redhead as well) two dogs and two cats. I am a true redhead and have the temper to match! I just turned 40 but I don't think I look my age and I sure don't act it sometimes.

Cricket - I am pretty much family oriented. I enjoy going out to dinner and watching movies with my family. I also enjoy reading. I'm pretty much into health articles. Sometimes I wish I had more confidence. Sometimes I can be a little timid until I get to know you. overall I guess I'm easygoing, nurturing, and compassionate. I also enjoy fashion merchandising which I took at a vocational school. I've also had two years of college in the arts and humanities. I enjoy my family at this stage of my life. They keep me busy. I have very little time to myself.

Lilly - I'm a free girl, very honest, spontaneous, happy and I can change my mood in seconds... specially on pre menstrual days. Call me an emotional, turbulent, creative soul who's always asking the question "WHY?" or "WHY NOT?!" Fed up with all of the office and city/county politics, I started my own marketing communications business...now I can avoid those potentially problematic people who's only goal in life is to bring others down. I'm married to a great man who is 15 years my senior...he's my teacher and guardian, my stability in a wild wacky world. He is my fourth husband and the one I've decided to keep. I love to write and read and talk. Being a redhead has been an integral part of my life.

I'm not angry, I'm not easy, and my name is not Fire Crotch! One lesser known redhead stereotype is true about me and all other redheads I've met, and it's that I am completely crazy. Lynda - My temperment is quite fitting to my reddish hair. A comment I hear most often from others is, "Watch out for red-heads and their temper!" I wouldn't say I have a temper, but when my blood begins to boil, it's best to stay away. Far away. Despite the occassional outburst, I'm actually a very mild mannered, friendly and kind individual, just looking for a little fun.

I can almost always be found in front of or near a computer. I'm not really one of those outdoorsy-girl types and I'm all about geekiness. I work as a Reporting Analyst for a small internet company, where my geeky nature gets opportunity to develop and shine through.

RedTex - I'm a Texan by birth and by culture, but a San Franciscan by vocation and by choice. I'm also a strawberry blond by birth, but full-on redhead for over ten years bypersonality and by choice. More than anything else I love my husband, music of all kinds but especially honky tonk, and writing long-winded screeds on just about any topic that pops into mind. I talk a mile a minute most times, and although I can become cynical and morose when the situation warrants I'm generally good-natured. Unless you piss me off. I'm almost as liberal as they come, in the old school progressive vein, but I'm not what you would call radical. I don't know what it is about folks who are redheaded by nature or by choice, but I seem to find them easier to relate to and more fun than most other people. Same with smokers (though I quit), drinkers, musicians and Texans. I love em all, and they usually love me back.

Kestrel - I've always had red hair, but the color has changed over the years. It's always been extremely thick and abundant, but it was auburn and straight when I was a child, then got redder and wavy when I hit puberty. My family's nickname for me was "Duracell," and the vanity plate on my first car said "CU-TOP" (if confused, look a the periodic table). Now I'm 27, and my hair is getting darker and straighter again, so I've recently been playing around with "henna glossing" (using just a few tablespoons of henna with a lot of conditioner to add just a hint of red and a whole lot of shine to my hair). I had long hair until I left grad school to take my first job as a professor, and then I cut it short in order to look more 'professional.' Big mistake! My husband, who's always had a thing for redheads, threw a fit. So I've been growing my hair out for 15 months now. It is just about to hit my collarbone, and my goal is to have it at waist length by my 30th birthday. My skin is ultra-pale with pink undertones and coppery freckles. Taking good care of my easily burned skin is almost an obsession. I have a deep love for animals. My husband and I have seven pets (dogs, cats, and parrots). My love of red hair even extends to my dog- she's a Redbone Coonhound, and her coat is the exact same color as my hair! We each have dark green fleece jackets for walking in cool weather (although purchased at different times, and it's accidental that they match!), and we frequently get comments on our beautiful, matching red hair. My favorite animals are birds, though, especially psittacines (parrots), corvids (ravens and crows), and raptors (falcons, hawks, and so on), hence my screen name. Being a redhead is disturbingly central to my sense of self- I wonder why?

Spettycrew - I am a redhead living the life of a struggling actor in Los Angeles. I am very proud to be a natural redhead and now that I am in my 30's I finally feel comfortable in my own pale skin. I was lucky to find a man who also loves my pale skin and we were married on St. Patrick's Day 2001 in Orlando, Florida. We have a Basset Hound named Stubby who is hilarious and keeps us laughing all the time. And my husband has two beautiful daughters, so I am a step-mother. I stay busy as a founding member of Creative Actors Alliance and I sometimes work as a transcriber for reality television programs. I feel my life is very blessed and we look forward to having our own kids in the near future.

aldwaup - I am a Cancer. Playful and spontaneous on the outside, but I hide my deep personal feelings. If it weren't for my mountain home to retreat to as my crunchy shell I'd be lost. BloodyRain - Hello, My name is Jessica. A long time ago I used to blow-dry my hair and iron it. It really killed my hair, and since then I have been trying to get it nice and healthy. That's one of the reasons why I joined this....maybe to get some feedback. MY hair is about 28.25" right now and I am trying to grow it two my waist. Another 3.75 inches to go! I can't wait! I love long hair, and I love long hair on guys too :) Lets see....I am 5'4 and 102 pds. Green eyes, fair skin (obviously) and somereally faded freckles you cant really see. lol. That's about it!

I guess you could call me a 'rennaissance woman'.....while i'm obviously into science and math as you can tell from my studies, there is also a side to me that is very creative. for example, on the side, i write, draw, play a little guitar (poorly but improving), and i acted in a few musicals and plays back in high school. and, believe it or not, i am also the singer of a fledgling little band, though we have yet to play for anyone but ourselves... :o) oh, and i once did irish step dancing, thanks to my 100% irish heritage....... and of course, I can definitely thank that irish background for my very red hair and freckles :o)

redonthehead - I'm a fiery red head, smartass most of the time but also a very nice person. I don't think I have the temper that most non redheads think that just come with having the hair color of red. Having red hair just sets us aside from the rest of the world. It's great we stand out! Red heads Rock! Actually growing up I hated it- I think we all know what I'm talking about, children are just cruel, but now I love it. Eireanne - I'm an 18 year old pre-vet student at The Ohio State University. In my free time I enjoy attending Renaissance Fesivals, Drawing, Writing, Reading, and designing Websites. I'm an avid equestrian and I proud member of the Ohio State Equestrian Team and I currently train and show Quarter Horses. I also love Ireland and the rest of the British Isles and I'm planning on spending 6 weeks there next summer studying Gaelic. While I'm not Irish personally, I'm still proud to be 100% natural redhead and I have the great personality to go with it!

Shawna - I sometimes get myself into trouble for being overly aggressive... I tend to take charge in all things away from home, but my husband rules the roost in private, and I am happy with that arrangement (it is hard being the bossy bitch all the time). There is a little something between my ears, but don't let my spelling or puctuation fool you, numbers have always made more sense than letters to me and I tend to be very analytical. I am an only child, so I am a spoiled rotten, used to getting my way, perfectionist, who never learned to share her toys. This proved for a rude awakening, when I married the youngest of 8. Being married and learning to share has been a great experience, and never a dull moment after having kids especially. The first time the kids got in a knock down drag out, I just stood there in shock, my husband just shrugged his shoulders and said "kids will be kids".

Morrigan - Just the facts: I am a 23 year old graduate student of Greek/Polish descent pursuing a PhD in molecular genetics in my home state of NJ. Until a shoulder injury prevented me, I rowed competetively for my alma mater William and Mary. I have many varied interests, and unfortunately very little time to pursue them at the moment. I enjoy doing just about anything I try (so I'm not going to run down all the stuff I like here), and I love trying new things.

Tallest - Wow I haven't written in this thing in THREE long years... yet I look the same in my pictures. How weird is that?

Anyways. I am from Trinidad & Tobago, where a natural redhead is a rare sight (so rare that I am always bombarded with the question --- is that color real?? Someone even once asked me what number my hair was!)

I was working in New Orleans up until stupid Katrina hit, so I have been temporarily displaced to Bloomington, Indiana, where my skin will continue to get paler and paler due to winter. Fun:)

Dharma - I suppose that I have the attitude that goes along with being a red-head. I've got one hot temper at times but it does take a lot to get me upset. Growing up, I hated my red hair. Simply because I was the blunt of the kids jokes. But now, I love my hair. I would not trade it for the world! My hair is super-thick and has a little wave to it if I don't dry it completely. When I was younger, my hair was FIRE RED. Over the last 22 years, it has lost it's fire somewhat. I'm somewhere between strawberry blonde and red right now. My mothers hair was the same when she was younger and now she's completely blonde. I really hope that doesn't happen to me. :) I love watching movies. On the weekends, you'll either find me at a movie theatre or at the local Blockbuster. My favorite actress' is Jennifer Aniston and Julia Roberts and I'm a complete and total F-R-I-E-N-D-S Fanatic. I've been watching the show since episode one and I love it. My favorite actor would have to be Mel Gibson or Luke Wilson. My favorite movie is either The Princess Bride or A Beautiful Mind. JusPeachie - "Where'd you get that RED hair!?" You'd think my mother's family had never seen a redhead before. We pop up here and there in Dad's side, though. The term "redheaded stepchild" hurts my feelings because I was... am... and my stepmonster hates me. And... I hated living in Florida because everyone tans there and people actually are SO RUDE as to make fun of a person with WHITE LEGS! But other than that, I don't mind. I know what I am; I know the drawbacks... AND the benefits. There is a flame that's always hot, and we know it. Temper? Me? Nah... What? Why are you afraid of me? I'm SWEET! Really!

Adam_Uneven - Liars, bullies, hippocrites, flakes & closed or narrow minded people tend to test my patience but I usually try to hear them out anyway. Stupidity really should be painful if it's caused by laziness as opposed to some kind of dain bramage. I'm a creative, easy going, open minded, fair & a good communicator. I do what I say I'll do. I'm a serial monogamist, my last relationship lasted 11 years & ended on good terms. Professional, entrepenuerial, & committed but maybe a bit too diversified in my interests. I'm a survivor, a true survivor, maybe you'll find out about it sometime. Just your average California grown, Irish, German, English type peckerwood artsy rebel hippie mutt. I try to keep up with my sons when I see them on weekends, they're 6 & 7 years old, brillient & energetic. My height, long golden red hair, the fact that I use a cane & walk with a limp are a few of the things people notice first about me. Most people seem comfortable talking to me about just about anything or nothing in particular. Spirituality? Hmmm... yes I'm sure it runs deep, just not in any conventional, organized or predjudiced direction.
