The Member Profiles.

Mocoohayho - I am in the Air Force As a mechanic (well at least after boot camp in a few weeks here:) I don't know why but I am a Mazda guy, and my friends like to rat on me for that. O well most of them only have black hair, and black hair is a bore. I like play on my computer and work on my car. I like old school rock and alterative. I am a sucker for a Redhead with Green eyes.

leahmeah - The Sensitive, Withdrawn Type: Expressive, Dramatic, Self-Absorbed, and Temperamental. Bohemian, but not really. I'm bourgeois and that's OK with me. I'm creative, sometimes humble, but really after approval and flattery. Renewing, regenerating. Depressive. Too imaginative, romantic. Selfish. Sort of into music, but mostly creative through visual art. Short, average build, the typical white skin with freckled shoulders and nose. I hate it. But i hate tan blondes, too. I'm in love with hating a lot of things. I like to get carried away.

acaciaplum - I am a redhead living in the South. I am not denying the natural beauty of the region. I just was not meant for this climate. And I have always wondered at the mass of sun-worshippers that surround me. It has been interesting growing up red. For 12 years I was quite alone. My parents and sister are brunettes...as are my grandparents...and great-grandparents. Then my brother was born -- with red hair. I felt sorry for him at first; but soon we bonded by teasing our sister for her lack of red hair.

Lunar_Shadow - I am a loud, often brash woman with a penchant for scathing commentary. I am sarcastic, tempestuous, ever changing, and hard to contain. A maelstrom of emotions at any given moment and a cornucopia of desires of which I am not adept enough, nor inclined to hide. I have a passion for animals, the environment, women's rights, and all things Goddess related. I am 27 years old, recently moved back to my hometown, (which I abhor) and have been traveling the country with my 2 wild beasts SlyDog and Babaloo.

Bree - Bree. Simple yet intricate. A dreamer but grounded. Redheaded by choice. Skinny. Open minded. Verbose. A writer. A lover. Enjoys college for the learning value, Open roads, Sunny days, Outdoor concerts, Indoor concerts, and Hugs. A teacher. A student. Giggles when tickled. Thinks that Religion=overrated. Spirituality=highly recommended. Beaches. Pessimistic. Optimistic. Plays acoustic guitar. Loses at miniture golf. Enjoys all-you-can-eat buffets. Dislikes Mosquitos. Loves babies. Making new friends. Visiting old friends. Surprise gifts of love. Tulips. Sunrises. Bree.

LadyPhoxxe - I'm a native of Boston but grew up, primarily, VA. I'm a Scorpio... and I'm proud of it. I'm also and INFP and a Thursday's child. I've been a practicing pagan for 14 years although I was born a Catholic. I love to travel and have enjoyed extended stays in various parts of the United States, Britain, Jamaica and India. I do not believe in bashing. I believe that everyone has a right to their opinion and is deserving of respect. I'm fond of saying that I don't like people but that's not really true, I just prefer them on my terms... honestly, I don't really think that that's unusual. I have the warm and fuzzy distinction of being a Pagan Republican (I'm convinced I'm not the only one... but I'm starting to think I'm the only one that will admit it).

Shirasaya - I suppose I'm a walking contradiction in terms. I'm the prototypical shy exhibitionist - you'd be just as likely to find me curled up in a corner of the library with my nose stuck in a good book as you would performing a belly dance solo at a local restaurant or community event. I'd just as soon spend my time gadding around in mesh bodysuits and a black leather collar as I would in a serious debate about whether Jung was a genius or a fool. I love martial arts training but dislike confrontation. I believe in creating a nurturing environment for children but disdain all the "touchyfeely" junk that pervades the entire genre of self help books on the market. I love a good debate but hate arguing. I spend my time with my family, at the library, dancing either flamenco, modern, or belly dance, training in the dojo, at my computer writing, or reading.

Proud2BeRed - I am 43 years young, full of life and loving it. I work for myself in my cabinet shop behind my mountain home, deep in the heart of the Ouachita National Forest of Western Arkansas. I am not native, so don't sterotype me, please. I am a college student studying for my PhD in Psychology with two minors: computer science, and creative writing; I am a published fiction author. My first novel is scheduled to be an E-book this fall. I also sing, write songs, and play the guitar. My sense of humor can be as infectious as my smile. Intelligence, eloquence and intellect are the first three qualities I look for in a person. Next is honesty, integrity and loyalty. Be true to yourself and your friends, I say. Be friends with everybody, but be careful who you trust. I am alone; I wish I had me a redheaded lady.

redhedzed - A very fiery red head am I! I am so proud and positive about being a red head that I have named my business- "Red Hed Productions". I run a theatre and entertainment company in Brisbane Australia, am a circus performer, actor and theatre director. I am fiery in spirit, honest, full of love and life and will not take shit from anyone. I am here in this life to fulfill my dreams. I am well on my way to doing that! With each day that I wake, I am conscious that today is an opportunity to fulfill my dreams and to live every moment to the fullest.

Lisa - I am a 25 year female old from Newfoundland, Canada. I hated my hair and freckles as a child, but I love my hair now - still hate the freckles. If I could change one thing about my body it would be to lose the stupid freckles. I was teased as a child, like the rest of you I'm sure. I can be sarcastic and outspoken at times, but I am mostly quiet. I love to spend time with my friends, family and boyfriend.

Cat_Eyes - Hello all you redheads! I am a witty, fun, sarcastic 16 yr-old who is proud to be a redhead. I'm a junior and I'm part of my high school dance team "Illusion". I live in a small city where my red hair stands out. I always felt a little bit different growing up, but it's great to be a part of this community!

DebbyD - I'm 5'2", 130 lbs, Auburn Red hair which has changed colors of red as I've grown older.. Not sure why it does that either but I'm happy it's not the bright red it was as a child.. I use to hate being a redhead due mostly to the fare skin that comes with it but over the years have come to appreciate the color.. Just in the past few years I've also discovered that Men actually prefer a redhead.. it's amazing the reasons "why" when asked.. but I guess Blonds dont have all the fun *S*..

Strawberry70 - I am a natural born Strawberry-blonde. I have 1 redheaded sister and two redheaded brothers. (my parents both have dark hair) I have 4 redheaded nieces and nephews. My boyfriends daughter is a redhead also. My daughter has a bronze red hair color and my son is more of a dirty red (yes he does wash) haha....... I can remember being in elementary school, there were only 2 redheads in the whole place and I had to go room to room and show the other kids my hair. There seems to be more redheads than blondes nowadays.

KiwiPeliroja - Hello, Redheads!!!! I'm so happy to be a part of something so unique. I have been a red head for all of my life. I have to admit that I never really enjoyed being a red head when I was younger(whitest girl in the class), but now I have come to realize how special we really are. Men adore us! I enjoy taking my dog out to the doggie park so we can socialize with other dogs and their dog owners, working out in my living room :), watching info commercials (I'm a sucker for neat gadgets), and surfing the net for other awesome people to chat with. I have to admit that I am easily irritated with adults who seem to have no common sense or a negative outlook on life. My life hasn't been a walk in the park. Most people haven't had it easy, so get over it!! I LOVE children. I have tons of patience for kids. I want children someday, but still haven't found that special someone. That's most of me!

st8ofgrace - Born and raised in the Midwest. This August, I will finally marry the man of my dreams. God is the center of our love. Worship at least once a week is important to me. I also enjoy serving those pursuing Christian Leadership development through the Walk To Emmaus. Christian music festivals are a favorite summer diversion. I thank God for the wonderful work, family and friends he has provided.

Tiana - i am the leader of a world-wide redheaded organization with aspirations for world domination-ive been saying that since the austin powers movie came out, but have always said that redheads will take over the world. its so funny and amazing that i actually found this site, exactly what i should have done years ago!

ErinD - I'm a motivated and education-minded can-do person who is daily trying to accomplish large tasks in spite of 4 children constantly throwing wrenches into the wheels! My children take up the bulk of my time, but I sometimes manage to make time for reading mystery novels, taking walks, gardening, playing the piano, and singing in a symphonic choir. I have a secret desire to pack up and move to California so that I could be in the outdoors to walk or bike or garden all year round. I detest winter and every year think I will never survive February.

barba_rojo - I am a natural Red headed Latino male. Born and raised in Colorado. I do have freckles but I am also darker skinned than most redheads and I can get pretty tan. I have very dark brown eyes almost black. I have a sister and a brother with red hair. My parents had jet black hair now salt and pepper. My Dads Mother Had red hair and My mothers great granfather had red hair. I have 2 Daughters, one with Black and the other with brown hair. Since is seems to skip a generation they will probably have kids with red hair. It was hard growing up a red headed Latino. I alway hear from other latinos they have cousins with red hair. But I have never met or seen very few. So if your latino and a natural red head I would love to hear from you! I wouldnt say I am hot headed, but once mad I can stay that way for a long time. Because of my red hair and being so noticable I tend to be quiet and reserved. I am very easily picked out of a crowd and people seem to recognize me wherever I am. (Like Chicago O'Hair and Atlanta Airports). I still always feel people are looking at me wierd. I hope its because of the hair not because I look wierd.

Rustyann - I'm a fun, if slightly eccentic, young mother who loves being a redhead!! I love meeting new people, and telling people what I really think, as long as it's relatively nice. :) My husband and I are born-again Christians, and I just finished the latest book in the Left Behind series, an absolutely incredible series about the time between the Rapture and Armageddon. I'm trying to go into business for myself as an independent public relations consultant so that I can eventually work in a PR firm or be an advisor to the President. :)

MistressTrix - My name is Trixe, and I am a redhead. A bottle redhead. If you don't like it, well, fuck off. Better red than dead, I say. I think its neat to find a community devoted to the obviously superior hair color. I am a huge computer geek, as well as a self-proclaimed internet addict. I like smoking, drinking, driving, reading, writing, animalistic sex, and recreational drug use. (can I say that?) I am an avid cat lover as well, and I have 3 special kitties of my own. Oh yeah, I am also addicted to shopping. Does that about cover it? If not, well, its all you need to know.

HeatherLeigh - I am 16 years old and a junior in high school. I am a varsity cheerleader and captain this year. I am really short, about 5'1. I actually have auburn hair, but I call it cinnamon, just to be unique, and sometimes difficult. Normally, I have kind of hazel eyes, but they change depending on my mood and what colors I am wearing. And I LOVE my red hair, but hate the temper that comes along with it. :)

Red_10 - I'm a smart, sassy and VERY curious Redhead!! I take being a Redhead with pride! I have a great sense of humor, and can't tolerate people who don't, I'm not afraid to show my temper and have no problem telling someone how I feel about something or someone. I am a very kind and giving person and would help anyone out if they needed it. I love being around people (smart ones that is) and enjoy meeting new people.

Krista - I'd describe myself as a fun-loving,friendly, caring person who takes pride in helping out others. I'm also open-minded, laidback, and have a good sence of humor. I love being around people who can make me laugh. I used to hate being a redhead because i used to get teased alot for it. I hated names like "red" and "carrot top". I still don't like it to an extent but I figure if people are that immature, they're not worth associating with in my opinion. It' still hard for me to get over the fact that it's impossible to tan because of seeing everyone around me tan and beautiful. But over the last year I have learned to accept myself the way and am and I figure if people don't like it they can look the other way.

talldrink72 - For the most part, I'm a pretty outspoken person. I have a great sense of humor but most of it stems from sarcasm so if you don't "get me" you might get "hurt" by me @ times. I have no tolerance for ignorant people; the people I enjoy spending time w/ know how to spell, carry on conversations, and can handle fancy settings or hanging out on the couch in jeans...know what I mean?! Once you get to know me you'll realize I'm the kind of person who would do anything for my friends, family, loved ones; sometimes even for those I don't know, but I refuse to allow myself to be used on a constant basis. I have been known to be a true b*tch from time to time, but don't let that stand in your way....challenges make people stronger, depending on how you handle them I suppose :o) cheers

Roz - I am a cross betweeen Jessica Rabbit and Nicole Kidman. Tall, Shapely and Sultry. I am the original Jersey girl often mistaken for Bruce Springsteen's wife Patti, who is also a redhead. And once in Europe I was mistaken for Peg Bundy from 'Married with Children' while going though customs. My husband, who loves me immensely, always refers to me, as "The Redhead" and most people think that this is rude but it has always been his term of endearment for me. Once people understand this they start to call me "The Redhead" also.

bolwo - I am a 41-year-old woman who realized at the age of 40 that life was too short to put up with any more b.s. I spent the first 40 years of my life as a people pleaser--very un-redheadlike, I know--but when I hit 40, one day a new motto dawned on me: (pardon my language!) "F#@$ it, I'm 40!" I think of that motto when I worry that someone might not like what I have to say or do, and it really empowers me!

OldRed - I just might be the oldest natural redhead in this country and have had people question that fact for a good many years. I may also be the shortest so I have had a double whammy with nicknames. I love animals and my favorite thing to do is watch Animal Planet. I have fed the wild birds outside for many years and enjoy watching their antics everyday. I tend to be a very outspoken old lady and probably outspeak a lot more than I should, but I am old enough now to be able to chalk it up to eccentricity. My sense of humor is still great and the first thing I read in the morning paper is the comic strips. At almost 79 I am very active and plan to stay that way as long as I live.

lil_mandy - Alright, I'm about the most nicest person I now, until you piss me off, and then that well-known red-headed temper comes in, and you guys know what I'm talking about. I'm usually quiet, but also talk too much at times. Oh well, to judge me, if you do, you would have to know me, and if you wanted to, I don't have nothing against that, not at all! Come on, gimme a try. I don't bite, usually! Byee!!

Sarabear108 - I'm a 17-year-old high school senior with coppery red hair and, in some ways, a personality to match :-) I don't really get angry to easily, but I AM an emotional person! And, I've finally learned to love the attention my hair gives me- although I still detest being called "Red" or "Carrot Top". Don't get me wrong, I love my hair, but I am not a color! Hmm... maybe I do get a little angry sometimes...

agnred - Hi. My name is agnred, and I am most interested in politics, finance, military issues, and government. I love to read, and the list of my favorite books is too long to list here. I am currently a student, and am double majoring in economics and Middle Eastern studies. I also enjoy movies, gardening, and sports, including equestrian sports (namely dressage), riflery, swimming, cycling, and weight lifting. Some day I'd like to run for public office, but for now, I'm satisfied with our current Republican dominated Congress and administration. That's it for now.

dormouse - I am a 17 year old redhead from California, not too many like me around these parts. I'm about 5'3 and about 135 lbs. My hair goes to about the middle of my back, and im afraid to cut it, but im gonna have to, because its really scraggly at the ends, but i hope it'll grow back healthy and nice. I have pretty big blue eyes and really light freckly skin. I'm fun loving, silly chick and I enjoy my company, and I think others do, too.

sepsis - I think my red hair is an extention of my personality. It might come from a bottle, yes, but the red-golden-orange glow of my self-cut hair is like light escaping from my inner self. My neat little hair-aura is unique, slightly left-of-center. Like me. I am a shamless Web addict who harbors a love for intricate, vaguely technological things- the highlight of my first trip to California was a visit to the Stanford Linear Accelerator. I take lessons in Kung Fu, and I have ridden horses since I was six.

devious - where do i start. i am a very fun loveing adventurous person i seek excitement and stimulation out of everything i do. I have a wonderfull sense of humor. Im the friend in the group who's job it is to cheer everybody up!( and i dont mind). to sum it up IAM A RED HEAD. Oh yeah im kinda opinionated and a little difficult at times. And i have a really bad nasty temper.

Spritelyred - I have short strawberry-blonde hair and fair skin. I am pretty much introverted, but I like myself that way. I mostly make sculptures and drawings. I go to a university to study art and I am graduating soon. I have grown up in a pretty hostile environment, and I find myself ending up in hostile "relationships" with boys. I've decided it is best to be independent and strong without them, so that is what I strive to be. I like any music or art that is very creative and inspiring to me. I am not into pop music and mass-produced things. I am the kind of person who treasures gifts that are handmade by the person who gives them. I also love tea and honey, hot chocolate, and I like reading. I love forrest and mountains better than the beach, but I love the ocean too. I have to be careful because I sunburn quickly, so i often hide from the sun. The rain is better for dancing.

ThunderDawn - Okay, so I went a bit overbord with the last description of myself. I have lived in 53 houses in seven states in the past sixteen years, or rather, soon to be that. My family is moving yet again, leaving on the 24th of July to make the 3 day drive from Topeka Kansas to Whidbey Island, Washington.

..well, to continue on about myself. I am soon to be sixteen years old this september, and although most people see teenagers as wild and rebelious (which I must say I am at times), im a pretty good kid, I havn't gotten into any trouble (like my brother, who happens to be on house arrest at the moment).

MeanLaureen - I'm a fun loving redhead who didn't come by the nickname "MeanLaureen" lightly. I love laughing and playing practical jokes. A day without laughter is a day wasted. I'm a pessimistic optimist :-) and I am a very aggressive person. I firmly believe in the saying "If you aren't the lead dog, the view never changes". I firmly stand up for my beliefs, unfortunately sometimes I need to think before I talk! I am a very giving person to the people I am close to. I don't get close to many people but when I do there is nothing I wouldn't do for them.

Mogrig - I really am the typical redhead in that I am very open, honest, demand respect from everyone (as I always give it) and cannot tollerate two-faced people. I dont want to sound like a tyrant here, I am very friendly, talk too much and my family call me 'high maintenance' LOL. I assume they mean they cannot keep up with me?....their problem! I am short by Australian standards, so do love it when I go back home to Wales and feel part of the crowd....and quite normal in height. Being celts we have so many redheads around the town so to speak, here in Perth, not so many. I can honestly say, since I can remember, being a redhead has only been a plus for me - except of course when I want to voice an opinion in my exagerated way!.....and then the stereotypical reaction.....Oh! you really are a redhead??? the mind boggles?

Bluey - Hi, My name is Andrew but in Australia if you are born with redhair you will sooner or later be tagged Bluey. I have had this tag since four years of age and to be frank most people who know me have no idea what my real name is. I feel ashamed that I have not turned to a life of crime with this advantage as I would surely have been succesful as the description people would give is "oh it was Bluey who stole the things". However 39 years have taught me that if your a rehead and six feet four with a badly shaped head youre going to stand out so I have stayed on the straight and narrow. It is a worry to me that more redheads do not take other redheads as partners, my limted experience with redhead partners is that we're "hot" but I guess this is a redheads web site and if your reading this your a redhead so you already know that. I really do need to get out more.

redgirl212 - i'm 5'10, 130lb, with red hair (of course) and green eyes. got the freckles but they've faded since childhood. have you ever realized how in every movie the hooker/slut was always a redhead? i've got the firey temper and love to argue. my friends say i've definitely got the passion. i love my friends and am too caring. i don't consider my hair part of my personality but it is still such a big part of who i am. my heighth and red hair make me stick out and i've learned to not only accept but embrace that. red hair has been passed down once in each generation of my family. i was the lucky one (i do love my hair and feel blessed). and lastly, my grandmother would "beat me with a stick" if i dyed it.

Mitzi - Described by self... and others as an "old soul". I think that my Libra-ness allows me to accept others as I find them and respect their individuality. I value an active mind and quick wit mixed with a hearty sense of humor. I enjoy feeling connected to others and the awesome energy of being with people. But I possess a duality of spirit: love engaging people but desire private time for contemplation and 're-charging'. I compare myself to my Westie--with his typical terrier energy--in that I 'run wide open' and then collapse, only to rise again when rested!

mirage1 - I am an optimistic, patient, continually amused and often bemused single mother. Growing up I was told freckles were angel kisses, and as far as I can tell I was an angel favorite! I enjoy being in the sun and am glad to live in a day and age when sunscreen is readily available and functions as promised, because a red nose just doesn't go well with my hair.

I am in the military, in a very non-traditional female job, and as a redhead I definitely stand out. Once a friend, making a joke, told me I was his "favorite female staff sergeant redheaded crew chief." Well, chances are I was the ONLY female staff sergeant redheaded crew chief!

RedRuby - My name is Shani. I am quite petite with red hair. I am aprox. 4'11" at 97lbs. I am very fair skinned. I sing opera and play a little piano. I like volleyball. I just finished my junior year at highschool. I work full time at Skechers for the summer. I love children and animals. I have a very sweet personality. I am quick witted and I love people with a good sense of humor. I am very sensitive and really girly. I always like a challenge. I do not believe in racism or solving things through violence(though I might feel like it sometimes). I enjoy writing. I am currently single. I love the ocean(even though I burn). I am respectful and out going(most of the time). I am sexual, but not overly(I dont want you getting the wrong idea). I love meeting new people and going places and trying new things. I do not like smokers or drugs (pot, coke, etc...) I do like to drink...even though I am underaged.

Deoris - A co-founder of the Toasted Cheese writing community and ezine, I spend a lot of my time in creative pursuits. I do a lot of web graphics and graphic creation, as well as creative writing. Offline I watch an insane amount of television and take my boys off to their various activities. I am a fiend for roses, lilacs, and lotus flowers. I appreciate beauty in most of it forms, and love contributing to it. I'm big on retro designs and history, including geneology. I can be found on MSN and AIM most of the time, but I'm not overly chatty although I am friendly and can really yak up about a variety of topics.

Ginger_Kiss - I'm a stay-at-home mom/student/part-time manicurist. I wasn't blessed with beautiful crimson locks. I have been a readhead for a year now, I get so many compliments. I have pale, lightly freckled skin that go goes perfectly with it. I love poetry, my favorite is Pablo Neruda. Been doing yoga for about 4 years, interested in eastern religions esp. buddism and zen. I have a warped sense of humor, some people just don't get. Here's an example, one of my favorite quotes: "The fastest way to a man's heart is through the chest with a sharp knife". LOL I love that one. I can be sarcastic and bitchy, but usually I'm sweet and loveable. Sounds schizophrenic doesn't it? LOL I would say I'm high maintenence, is that a bad thing? You can ask my husband, been married for 10 years. (He's a redhead too) We have a wonderful little boy, he's 3, blonde hair I'm afraid. He's a cutie anyway. ;) A keeper. I'm studying to be an elementary education teacher.

IslaStar - 30-something graphic designer/musician living in MA. I'm the milkman's kid, because the rest of my family is dark-haired and dark-skinned and I have light (non-tannable) skin, red hair and freckles! Actually, there ARE other redheads in my family--you just gave to go back a while to find them. I think I have the personality to match: smart, stubborn, and the whole temper thing. I work as a graphic designer and musician, am single and looking.

WitePhantom - I'm a friendly college student (well, in the fall I'll be in college) who enjoys writing and drawing. Though I'm only 15, I've had an online column for over four years, though it's currently retired due to lack of time. I've always been told I have too much energy, but I suppose that can be a good thing, since I love to run and play basketball. My energy has gotten me into trouble a few times, but I'm better at controling it now. I've got a large group of friends who seem to enjoy my company, but I think that's becuase they know what not to say so I won't get sarcastic, as I've been known to do often. All in all, however, I love making new friends and enjoy talking to anyone with a reasonable amount of sense and knowledge.

FSUhcky20 - Well, I am relatively new to the Southern California area and am quickly learning the area. I have heard that there is a social club for Redheads in Orange County and would love some information if anyone knows anything. As for me, I enjoying doing many things. I play Ice Hockey and would love to get back into playing outdoor soccer if i can find an adult league. I graduated from Florida State University in the Spring of 2001 and have been working for Kodak since July of that year.

colleengirl - I'm a very funny and smart dame. I love to read and I visit the library at least one every two weeks and borrow only non-fiction. I love to read BUT ESPECIALLY about serial killers and other true crime books. I exercise a lot, in fact, I teach exercise at my company. I do yoga and spin; and love to thoroughy exhaust myself by working out. I think therefore I think is my motto. I love Yeats and Gerard Manly Hopkins; I also know how to use the semi-colon properly.I can sing and dance very well. I been in loads of community theatre productions and had the lead.I can also do Irish step dancing. I am very proud of being Irish and love St. Patrick's DAY. I have freckles.
