Denise_88 - As a child, I was the only person in my ENTIRE elementary school with red hair (k-7) that makes you feel a little different. It seems much more common now and as I tell my husband "everybody wants to be a redhead". But I can spot a natural one from miles away (ha ha). My parents both had dark hair (although my dad had 8 brothers and sisters with red hair) he and my mom had the ONLY 2 redheaded grandchildren (out of appox 60)

GenuineRedhead - I'm pretty easy going, it takes a lot to bring out my fiery redheaded temper if at all. I hated my red hair as a kid but now I just love it and feel so lucky to have it! I love to make people laugh and I love to laugh myself! Everyone tells me when I smile my eyes dance! I love my family more then life itself. I love to dance and a lot of different kinds of music.I play softball and other outdoor activities life is way to short to sit around. I tend to be caring and loving and a lot of times the peace maker and that can be a full time job in its self! I'm always fascinated by other redheads and always hoped I would have a redhead of my own some day,it didn't happen but they are all just beautiful anyway!

Sunrise - I grew up, like many redheads, hating my hair color. I dreamed of having long black hair. But now, I love my hair. It is who I am. I don't feel the need to blend into the crowd anymore. I love how men turn to look when I walk into the room. Yes, the childish names hurt when I was little. And for all of those who teased me for my unique locks I just have one thing to say, life as a redhead is never dull or boring. Life is very good! I don't subscribe to the stereotype that redheads have bad tempers. I, like many redheads, am very mild, and even tempered. But, that is not to say that I'm not passionate! One of the best compliments I've ever received is from my 7 y.o., blonde daughter. She wishes she had beautiful redhair just like her Mommy.

Montana - Your average nice guy. I like to pretty much do anything if it sounds interesting. I joined the Army for college money and for experience. I have been to many places and seen many things some good and some bad. I don't have a girl friend, it would seem that the German females don't seem to like me or my redhair to much :) Oh and I can't wait to come back to the states and home for that matter (Allen Park, Michigan)

Rousel - I'm 5' 10.5" (179.07 cm) tall and weigh 170 lbs. (77.1 kg). I'm auburn haired (...what's left of it now, that is, I'm bald! lol, ;-D ...in my younger days my facial hair was red :-) ) and pale-skinned (...was nicknamed the "ghost" in my boyhood, he-he, ;-) ) with my fair share of freckles. I'm a devout Christian and an American Southerner with DEEP roots in Dixie (even back to the Jamestown Colony ~1660s) being of German (including Swiss), English (including Welsh/"British"), & Scottish heritage/lineage. I'm very sentimental (seemingly by nature...'tis impossible for me to forget the 'old days' whether good or bad), socially conservative, and a lover of tradition. As for the seemingly widespread red/reddish-haired stereotype of "hot-headedness," I'm little different than the likes of Queen Elizabeth I of England (y'all know what she looked like! :-P , lol, ;-D ) who became a "fireball" ONLY when she had a GOOD reason to be one! lol ;-D That said, most of the time I'm Mr. Easy-Going/Mellow Guy :-) ; although I do have my moments of "passion" and "intensity" (...attributes I typically love to behold in others--ruddy haired or not) like the way I was yesterday watching an important football game! LOL, he-he, ;-D Oh, and, before I forget, did I mention I'm outgoing and friendly! :-D =)

Rae - I'm 28, been a redhead since the day I was born. I'm the only redhead in my family, so I consider myself lucky. I have two girls and they didn't get the red hair, either. I am a published artist, I am a published poet, I'm a baker and a dreamer. My favorite place in the world is in a forest away from civilization, and my favorite dreaming spot is sitting on the beach, preferably after dusk with the moon my only companion. One of my hobbies is to sit with a good book and a hot cuppa tea with my cat curled up on my lap. I also love to run, usually away from my children as they tend to bite. LOL Just kidding.

dropdeadred - The fact that I FINALLY stumbled upon this beautiful website to be amongst my "peeps" is so totally awesome!I was so happy to read that so many of you have had a great life, because mine sucked! I hope to be there for any other redhead sis and bros that might need to bend an ear now have learned to love who I am and love the fact I am different,I now know why people stare and instead of looking at them pissed off and saying, "what the hell are you staring at?" I just smile....

All_Natural - Well, I'm a fiery redhead with the attitude and personality to match. Growing up I hated being a redhead (sorry but I did). I was always different than my pretty blonde and brunette girlfriends who seemed to attract all the boys in school. Being a fair-skinned, freckle-faced CURLY-redhead was not the girl of choice growing up. However, now that I am a woman, being a pretty redhead, sure does have it's benefits. I love my originality now but growing up was a challenge. I do have to say, being called carrot top, woody-woodpecker, red, your-hair's-on-fire, etc. helped me become the strong woman I am today. Don't get me wrong, I didn't only get teased growing up; there were lots of people who loved my hair and me as well so it helped ease the pain. I have to say, I think having a website dedicated to us "reds" is a great idea. Things are different in our world and I don't believe anyone besides a true redhead can understand how we feel and what we experience. Gotta love it.

Wildfire - I'm pretty easy going, but have a hot Irish temper that is quick to ignite, and just as quick to extinguish. I've got a very dry sense of humor, but I always enjoy a good laugh, even at my own expense. I'm honest and caring, always willing to pitch in and help. I'm a good friend to have. I enjoy teaching new things to my kids, and feeling the newness and excitement of an experience seen through their innocent eyes. I have little patience for ignorance, but I'm ready to explain something if you really don't understand. I'm open minded, and try not to be judgemental. I believe it's best to "agree to disagree," rather than insulting someone by attempting to change their mind about what they may feel strongly about. I think it's important to have at least a few friends that are smarter than me, so that my mind will never be idle, and I will always be in a situation to learn something new. If I don't understand, I'm never afraid to ask questions.

MoonFire - I am a 26-year-old strawberry blonde. I have been happily married for over 4 years. I am kind of shy around people at first, but once you get to know me I am definitely fun to be around. I have an off the wall sense of humor that not everyone understands. When I am not working I really enjoy hanging around the house reading or playing on my computer. I am the youngest of five children. Four of us have natural red hair and the fifth often dyes hers.

Lilie - A fire spirit is how I have most accurately described myself. I am very "spunky" as most redheads are. I have a hot temper, but am not easily provoked. I love all things natural. I make peace when possible. Four words that easily describe me: Tall. Sexy. Natural. Redhead. I play games, no not mind games, although I have been known to have a few tricks up my sleeve. ;) PC games are what I mainly play although I have a thing for Soul Calibur. I love faeries and folklore. I've always found I drift from group to group never fitting into one, yet being content in that. I'm pretty stuborn and like things my way. =)

RedInc - Well, I'm a redhead! Have been and always will be one. I'm an all aroung kind of guy. I like to draw in the spare time that I do get. I love cars I like to draw them and I love even more to drive them. Hopefully someday I might actually get a job that pays me to draw them! Oh well, in the mean time I'm trying to find my way through life. I snowboard when it snows here, (gotta love the powder!), and I love to mess around, make jokes, and laugh. One of my favortie comedians is Carrott Top, but then again who doesn't like the guy! I enjoy surfing wether it be the waves, the TV channels or the Web! Well this is me in a very tiny nutshell!

smarth516 - My father predicted six weeks before I was born that I would be a redheaded little girl. I am the youngest of 5 and the only red head. I have 10 nieces and nephews and my goddaughter is the only redhead of them all. She proudly with tell anyone that asks that she got her red hair from her godmother! I work for an agency that provided scholarships and mentoring to 70 children from low income families in the city of Chicago. The family that we serve are mainly African American or Latino, that being said, my red hair and freckles have been the topic of many discusses by the kids in the program. One of the little ones, once asked what the spots were on my arms and how did I end up with red hair? It was actually very sweet.

Melmere - Although lots of redheads like to focus on their short fuses, my goal is to focus on not sweating the small stuff (although it can be hard). I can be a pretty laid back person who likes to listen and think about situations from all angles. I do not like strife, and need to resolve all conflicts as soon as possible. I am a giving (sometimes too much), sharing, caring person who has a tendency to tell it like it is and not beat around the bush. But I also use care with my words and try to avoid hurting people's feelings.

Jeseryn - I am a 35 year old passionate, fiery redhead. I play guitar, dulcimer and mandolin. I'm a bookworm (Shopaholic Takes Manhattan!). Being a redhead and a little bit of an elitist I think we're the most beautiful people in the world. I'm even finally coming to love my freckles!

prettinpinc - "let me esplain.. no there is too much, let me sum up" --princess bride (woot!). i've got a vicious streak, i'm silly, and i'm shy (at first anyway). an organizational freak too (virgo). i love new order! if you do too we can be friends :P once, i dyed my hair blond and hated it so much that i dyed back to red a week later. i learned then that i could never be anything else.

Rebadiva - Hi! My name's Tanya Witt and from the time I was three, I knew I was destined to perform! I still remember the rush I got when singing the "Stoplight Song" in pre-school. The entire room got quiet just to listen to me....I was hooked! I'm well-versed in stage, studio, and live entertainment.

While I started out blonde as a child, my hair eventually turned an auburn shade of red! I never minded it - I love the spotlight and red hair just adds to the attention I receive!

jardinier - I was a striking redhead at birth and have stayed that way. I will never change my hair color. I have loved the attention my hair has brought me ever since I was a child. I wear a lot of black, so the red stands out. So many women have told me my hair color is the perfect shade, which of course I love to hear, compliments are wonderful! I have a saucy personality. I am very passionate and assertive, bold is a good word. I am a very take charge sort of gal.

suzired - I am a 31 year old authentic redhead. People always called me "Carrot top" and old people always had to touch it when I went to the grocery store with my mom. I am sure this is true for so many redheads. I love being a redhead! I love being different. I am laid back, creative, easy going, friendly and chronically disorganized. I have a lot of redhead friends as well as a brother and a sister. I feel like we do have a special connection.

annaliese - I was born a redhead (thought it's more on the orange side, and I'm called orangehead by my friends), the first child to a redheaded mother. I love being a redhead! I was never teased for having red hair as a child, all my memories include adults telling me how beautiful my hair is and how jealous they were that it's natural. Though lately Im getting tired of being told I remind people of Laura Prepon from That 70's show, some people swear all redheads look the same...I beg to differ. I'm friendly and shy until I get to know people. Of course I most definately have the redhead attitude when you mess with me. I'm 23 and I've never had a boyfriend..it seems the male speicies around here are either speechless around redheads or scared as hell of them.

Lunah - Ich bin: The pixie, 32 years old, engaged, longtime Pagan, gothic chick, green-eyed redhead (both natural), witch, Gemini, military brat, volunteer Paramedic (NREMT-P, baby!), freelance desktop publisher/graphic artist, fulltime ER "Patient Care Technician II." Avid intermediate belly dancer. Addicted to caffeine and Doc Martens. Typical redhead temperament. ;) 4'11"ÖNo kidding.

redhdjock - Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest where the percentage of redheads seems to be rather higher than further south. Own and operate a nursery growing mostly trees and shrubs for export to the midwest. Object of borderline hysteria occasionally by my Hispanic labor force due to my hair color and very fair skin. It seems that in some highland Mexican cultures, red haired individuals are 'a sign of the devil' and portend very bad luck..... Live in a large Australian sheep ranch style house with a wrap around porch that me and my partner Mark built ourselves over a 4 year period while living in a yurt on our property. Two dogs (an Aussie mix and a chocolate Lab), three cats and a lot of chickens. Have always been sensitive about my red hair-- even dyed it brown in college, but am at peace with it now and having a great time!

TrinityRouge - I guess the best move is to start with Trinity101- "the basics" I am a twenty-some-odd year old grrlet who spent the first half of my life living in Florida and the second half (thus far) clicking my heels and hoping to get back every time it snows. In my quest to become a professional student I have already gotten my BS in behavioral neuroscience (a subfield of psychology) and a minor in philosophy (Aristotle is totally my bitch-and he likes it-because he is a perv like that) and I am almost done with my MA in Forensic Psychology- which is why I am in New York. After this? Hopefully I will get into a program to do my JD/PhD (getting a law degree and a PhD in clinical psych at the same time). Some people hate school- can't wait to get out- not me; I don't ever want to leave.

RedAngel - I am 5'1" tall, red hair and blue eyes. I am an IT Specialist for the Dept of Commerce in Washington DC. Happily married with four children.

WindDancer - I am many things in this life...Mother, Daughter, Lover, Friend, Peacekeeper, Poet, Songwriter/Singer. I try to find the beauty in the little things... For beauty is always there for those daring enough to search it out!

I love to write and read poetry of all forms. I do have the "redhead" temper, but it takes a lot to get me angry enough to show it.

PrincessC - Redhead is a state of being like no other. I absolutely adore the fact that I am a Fiery, Passionate Irish Red. I am a very tall, voluptuous redhead, so I tend to stand out in a crowd. I like it that way. The older I get the more I appreciate the qualities that people think are stereotypical....some are just absolutely true as far as I am concerned. I laugh a lot, I cry a lot and I love a lot, but all with the same depth of passion you would associate with a redhead. I wear my hair as a Badge of Honor because I am honored to be in a Realm with so many beautiful, caring, smart, independent and sexy people. I just found this site and was so impressed with the quality and quantity of membership, I jumped to join, thanks to a very nice man who just adores redheads. Thanks Andrew.

dawner - I am a redhead, been one all my life and I have been happy to be one for a long time now. (since high school) I think I am intelligent, I am certainly opinionated, with the stereotypical temper but it has to be driven out and I also can be really nice. I am driven and stubborn with a slightly skewed sense of humor and I will try almost anything once. I love food, music, wine and history. If I had to describe myself quickly I would say that I am friendly, funny, ambitious, with a thirst to learn and experience everything I can in the short time I am here.

Muckyduck79 - Hmmm.....well, here is the deal- I used to hate my hair. Kids can be so cruel when you are in elementary and middle school. I heard it all because my eyes are so big and when you have blonde eyelashes and brows you have literally no eye definition! But in high school with my hair approaching butt length I had some interest from hair shows and when I moved to Florida upon graduation I actually did some hair modeling.

I most definitely love being a redhead now, though, it is especially fun when men are involved! Some just have this "thing" for redheads and the mystic that goes with them.....and as far as the rumors go about redheads- they are all true!!!!

red_in_oz - I'm an out-going fun loving person. I guess you can say I graduated from being the class clown to the office clown. I love making people laugh. I'm a nautural redhead. Naturally curly. People say my hair is one of my best features. I hated it in high school, and now I would not trade it for the world! I can still remember the nick name they called me in grade school. "Red-headed freckled face hamburger."

parker - Proud, natural redhead with a long line of red hair in my family. I sincerely hope my children can be blessed with this unique trait we have all come to embrace. I was born and raised in Arizona and now live in the San Jose, CA area. My job allows me to travel all over the state of California which gives me the opportunity to see so many beautiful things. I, like most on this site, have somewhat of a temper and cannot stand losing. I consider myself very loyal, courteous, humorous, independent, with a try anything once mentality. I am the son of a legendary (plug) high school football coach whom I consider my hero. I had the privledge of playing football in high school and college. Most of all, I love my family and the opportunities I have been given.

KRMC - I am a fiery tempered freckle faced red head--have been all of my life. My 19 year old daughter describes me as a b**** with a good heart. Most of my spare time is spent tending to my dogs, walking, letting one or all of my three wonderful, pound aquired dogs out. If anyone asks, "who let the dogs out", tell them I did. On nice days, you might catch me roller blading up and down the hills in my neighborhood. The rest of my free time (ha ha) is spent going to the gym with one or both of my daughters.

shu217 - I have always had red highlights in my hair, but I never considered myself a true redhead. My husband encouraged me to grow my hair longer and in the process of not perming or highlighting, I found my hair to be redder than I thought. With his encouragement I have begun to explore my red side and have found henna to be useful and Just for Redheads to be useful for makeup. I am enjoying being and enhanced redhead and hope this site will give me more useful information on makeup, clothes and how to enjoy the redhead life.

Irishgrrrl - I come from a long line of red heads, my great grandmother on my mom side and an uncle and several cousins on my fathers........when I was little I thought my red hair gave me special powers...who am I kidding, I still do !!!! To me my red hair makes me feel like a godess. my hair is naturaly curly and as it gets longer it grows out not down. people say your hair fits your temperment what ever that means? I am opinionated read "fiery" outspoken "fiery" a little wild "Fiery" If I lived in another time I would have been burned as a witch....but that wont stop me from being me. My art reflects mythology and godess images with...RED HAIR. life is good red.

DaisyMeg - A strawberry-blonde, blue-eyed baby, by age two I had settled into my auburn-haired, hazel-eyed self. Growing up in the 80's age of the supermodel tan, I rued my pale skin - but I hated sunburn even more. Long nights plastered to the sheets with Noxema! (wish I'd known about aloe then . . .) Nowadays I'm glad I slathered on the sunscreen and insisted on my big ol' floppy tennis hat under the Texas sun as a teenager - in my early 30's people think I'm much younger, but more importantly, I'm happy and healthy and since we're all more accepting of all kinds of beauty, I get lots of compliments on my coloring now! Contrary to stereotype, I don't lose my temper very easily; but, now that I think of it, once my passion is aroused on anything, it's quite intense! I work to pay my bills and support my real life: Reading, research, visiting with friends, volunteering, writing, walking, observing the Catholic faith, and spending time with my family, especially my three adorable nieces (all dark brunettes so far).

ShortChick - I'm a little 4'9" person who just loves to have fun! I'm very friendly and open: I make friends easily. It helps that I'm a big flirt and the life of the party :-p I love to sing, act, dance, cliff jump and just hang out with my friends. I'm currently a freshman at Albertus Magnus College with an undeclared major and a 4.0 I'm hoping to either transfer to the Hartt School next semester or take one more year at AMC and transfer into Yale for my junior year. Well, that's all for now!

milk - I am grounded, capricious, well read, dyslectic, a teacher, a student, calculated of most, miscalculated by all, mature, an enfant terrible, a radical freedom fighter of corporate commercial consumerism, a card carrying member, quiet, verbose, confident of where I'm going, unsure of where I fit into the construct, the physical manifestation of man's duality. I despise stupidity, shallowness, artificiality, insincerity, and lying. I obviously have chosen the wrong place to move to. I hate bananas yet strangely, love banana Runts (again the duality).

saucylisa - With a name like Saucy Lisa, I must be a redhead! Wander lust and variety, season my life with a lot of spice. To top off the hair color, I am also an Aquarian with six other planets in my house the day I was born on my due date. The cosmos knew I was a special human being entering into this life, so the color "red" for my hair is a natural. My curls are permanent too!

I have walked a non-traditional path, moving several times in the last 30 years and feel content with annual migrations between Moab, Utah and Haines, Alaska. In 2001 I pursued a 15 year dream of creating my own salsa / hot sauce company promoting Saucy Lisa's Hot Sauces. Currently with two flavors, Saucy Lisa's Alaskan and Saucy Lisa's Habitual Hot Sauce, I love to demo the product and ask them if they like hot. It's truly a passion! Everyone should follow their dreams.

redwrath - I have always been on the adventurous side, and definitely never shy! Whatever I do, I do with great passion, and determination, and I've always attributed that to my hair. I used to have a pretty bad temper, but it seems I have been able to tame it as I've grown older. Still, most folks who know and love me know it's also best to avoid getting me really mad! Some of those folks would claim that I fit a lot of the stereotypes about redheads...though ironically, one of those stereotypes would be that we are unique individuals! I have always been pretty much my own person, and a WYSIWYG. (What you see is what you get.) I have always worn my mane with pride. Up until recently, I wore it waist length. My husband had never seen it shorter than my mid back, past my shoulder blades. Last fall I had 24 inches cut off to donate to Wigs for Kids, a nonprofit organization that makes real human hair wigs for kids undergoing cancer treatment, suffering alopecia, or afflicted with other diseases that result in baldness. My husband was devastated at first, but came to realize how rare it must be for red hair to be donated, and how much better a redheaded child would feel with a hairpiece close in color to their own. (By the way, it takes a dozen or more donations to make one wig!) I'm growing it back though...I do miss it, and truthfully, my ego rather enjoyed all the comments I used to get with long hair of distinct color. Both my parents are natural redheads. I have 4 kids, and none are redheads...I guess I'll enjoy redheaded grandchildren!

redbrain88 - I am a normal guy with redhair looking for other people that make up the supreme race and what a better way to let the world know about us ... I love to have fun and enjoy spending time with my families and cook-outs , bowling and traveling . I love to listen to all kinds of music and wish that I would have followed my heart and tried to become a Super Star in a band ... but it's never too late . Thanks, Jim.

cheeryred - I have just recently moved to the ozarks, (love it here) I am a born and raised okie. I love outdoors, I have a wush list of things i hope to get accomplished someday. examples: ride in hot air balloon, visit alaska (see southern lights) and visit australia (pet a koala), ect...

roots - An anthropology student interested in human origins, cultural studies, ethnography, philosophy, spirituality and art. While not an artist by trade, I believe that everything is art and art is a reflection of everything. Mathematics intrigue me for their potential to be philosophical. Joining concrete laws with abstraction is my specialty. I celebrate the notion of science being the design with God as the designer. Since childhood I've been fascinated by dreams and their capacity to be regulated/enhanced through meditation. Cincinnati Reds baseball is my religion.

redwillow - I'm the typical redhead. Quick witted and quick tempered on occasion. I have an ironic sense of humor. I'm caring and compassionate and can be too trusting. I learn all my lessons the hard way through expereinces good and bad. I used to hate my hair colr and wished for it to be any color then what it is. I love it now. It's a beautiful shade of bright red, with blonde highlights throughout. Of course I have a million freckles and counting. I celebrate my coloring and haircolor and all the personality traits that go with it. It's great to be different.

kellirose13 - I'm 26, 5' tall, a little overweight, and endowed. I've got shortish, naturally super curly, red hair and brown eyes. I like to sew and do anything artistic. I'm proud of my hair and show it off as best I can. I wear generally mommyish clothing, mostly stretch pants oversized shirts or long dresses. I'm nice (I think) and a great listener. I do whatever I can for my girls. They are my world. I spend too much time online but that's okay. I love to write poems though I've never read them for anyone else. I'm trying to let my hair grow long but tend to cut it if it gets past my shoulders. I think that about covers it. Oh I also have a redheaded husband.

Murray - Like most people here I was born a redhead, the mailman's daughter. I have a brother and sister who also have red hair. The other three siblings are brunettes. Yes, you guessed it, I am from a Catholic family. Moving onward, I have been married to a wonderful man for the last, what is it? four years. Someday, I hope that someone will take me fishing.

ohio_red - I'm a true Gemini...you'll never know which personality you'll get. I'm usually pretty easy-going unless something or someone rubs me the wrong way. Watch out for my temper..it's chased people away before! I have a strong sense of humor, especially favoring off-the-wall humor and dirty jokes. If I don't like something, I'll tell you, but generally it's easy to please me. I'm a compassionate, good-hearted perfectionist who is shy on occassion yet sometimes very talkative.

Ellie - I am a natural redhead. I am very laid back, I love talking to people, I absolutely love seeing other redheads and I am currently studying architecture in the city of angels. Two of my best friends are redheads, but I spent most of my life as the only one. I was never picked on for my hair color, only admired, and so I have no bitter stories to tell. Redhair has from day one been only a blessing. I love to dance, and I love to spend time in the water (wakeboarding, swimming or just floating around). I love all types of music, but I especially like electronica music, classic rock, world music, hip hop and a little soul.

markymojet - Hi there! Let's see, where should I start? Well, my name is Mark, and I'm a redhead (obviously), although I lack the famous temper. I love the outdoors - camping, hiking, canoeing, biking, rollerblading, skiing, snowboarding - pretty much anything outside. I also love to curl up with a good book or just watch a movie, and I enjoy exercising and cooking. I'm so glad that there is a website devoted to redheads, and I look forward to meeting more redheads like me. Don't be shy to say hello! Us redheads need to stick together!

Captain_Red - Laid back, long haired, southern, hippie type, riverboat captain, that listens to a bunch of blues. After spanding 30+ years in the riverboat business I have learned not to get into a hurry for anything. Life at 7MPH does that to you. Not on the boats anymore, managing a small fleet. I thrive on peaceful situations. Can't stand a redneck, don't fish or hunt. If I lose a deer I will go hunt a deer. I like talking to people and I am ADDICTED to yahoo pool.

macrena2945 - How can I describe myself? I confess that my hair is a focal point; since I was a tyke, everyone has exclaimed "look at his HAIR!!!", so now it falls somewhere between my butt and my legs (depending on how curly it gets in the weather). That'll give them something to look at! :) I love to travel, I love to work (on what I WANT to work on, that is), I love to go to the club and dance to the loud music. I just started a software development business with my friend, and will use the revenue from that venture to start our own catering business.

RedTigerLily - People say blondes have more fun, but I always say Redheads get a second look and have a better chance! You'll find me usually cracking a joke and ready for good beer or wine and good food. Love to write once I get out of my own head and sit down to do it. Lover of live music, good friends and the water, be it the beach, a lazy canoe ride, or rafting some white water anywhere. I belonged to a Redhead Club in Houston in the mid-80's and it was some of the best fun I've ever had.

Creative, personable type who was born to be red... no matter how bald I was at birth or for how long. Finally that invisible blonde hair turned red around third grade. What a relief! I have a nephew to carry on the color! I also love redheaded guys!

JoanieG - I like to laugh and have a terrific sense of humor - can find something funny in most situations, which is NOT always good! I probably get involved in too many projects at one time, but it keeps me on my toes. I have a wonderful, saintly husband, Tom. And a cute-as-a-button dog, Mugsy. I'm a natural redhead and think it's a great color, but, must confess that when I was in school, I didn't like being "different"! But now, I wouldn't trade it for the world!

Poetess - First and foremost, I'm a woman, and all that being a woman entails: virtues, flaws, love, passion, beauty, strength, weakness; grief, happiness, pain, warmth, laughter and tears. I am the waves that beat restlessly, ceaselessly on the rocks. I am the soft spring rain that nourishes the Earth. I am the cry of the banshee, the wail of the lost soul, the sighing of the wind. I am not all I should be; I am not all I could be. I am not who you think I may be. I am who I am.

SkinWalker - i make a great pineapple upside down cake. i don't have the red head temper i am to busy having "Way Too Much Fun" it is my motto and way of life. i have traveled to 13 countries and i am always making plans for the next trip. i have camped at Loch Ness, Stone Hendge, forts, castles and cemetaries, the quietest of all. i have done some acting in hollywood and discovered that a bright red beard will get you cut out of all close ups of other people, but it was "Way Too Much Fun". i ride motorcycles and have ridden 1000 miles in one day many times. gone top to bottom on east and west coast and side to side more times than i can remember. i am learning Russian and their customs. i am always open to learning new things and read everthing from technicial stuff, history, medicine, and law. i have been asked why i don't shave and i have always said because i don't like to. now i will say because i am red and proud.

Vala_Rhan - "Poetic Paradox and Pretty Persistant Perveyor of Peace" as one friend once called me. "Redhead down to the core" another has said of my personality. I see myself as flirtatious, straightforward, honest, motherly, caring, and loyal. With hair flowing down my back, left free more often than not, there's little doubt of it's color as I walk down the street. As free-spirited as any cat, I take life as it comes, making the best out of bad situations whenever and wherever possible.
