Mandalina - Simply red, but far from ordinary..... My mother was a redhead, but I am the only one in my family of 8, which has always endeared me greatly to her (she frequently tells me how excited she was when she saw the shade of my hair and proclaimed "I finally got my redhead!")That combined with the fact that I am 5'10" has always made me stick out next to my blonde haired siblings- A LOT. However, I think I have grown into the understanding of what it is to be a redhead and it is something that I wouldn't change for a second.

RedHedHeathr - I think I'm a "typical" redhead (if there is one). A bit on the crazy side once you get to know me. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE having red hair and the freckles that go with it. I can't count the number of people (even complete strangers) who have commented on my hair. I absolutely adore my children (was sorry when son #1's hair changed from auburn to dark blonde at about one year old). I work in a federal prosecutor's office and I really love what I do.

Whitney222 - I am a very energetic person, who lives with her mom and our 6 cats. We (my mom and I) have a relationship close to that of Rory and Lorelei Gilmore from the Gilmore Girls, although my mom isn't nearly that young. I have a very unique sense of humor and when I was applying to another private high school, wrote my essay on how being a redhead has affected my life. I was never allowed to get 2nds of the samples at Costco, because they always remembered the little girl with the bright red hair. Also, I never tan, which is not cool in today's world where brown in beautiful. Instead, I turn into one giant red blob with isn't so much fun!

carolbetty - Hello Redheads! I love it! I am about to be certified as a Nutrition Educator in California and am conducting a case study on redheads. I'm exploring genetic predispositions to allergies, hypoglycemia, digestive conditions, skin conditions, and hyperactivity / hypersensitivity. My goal is to optimize redheaded health by zoning in on the best nutritious fuel to bring out our greatest gifts of fire!

Katz - I believe that life is an adventure meant to be lived and not to be watched. I m a very loving, affectionate, creative, intelligent, honest, open, caring and loyal person. I believe that the glass is half full, and you CAN turn lemons into lemonade. I am a happy person and usually very upbeat and positive and I am a very active person. I like bubble baths and candles. I like romance and passion. I grew up in Ohio and graduated from high school in 1978. I have 3 brothers who still live in Ohio. I have been married twice. I have two boys ages 9 and 16, I am very involved with my boys. I love motorcycles and fast cars. I like to go to the movies; I like action/adventure, scifi, thriller but not slasher movies. I like walks in the park, picnics, and going to the zoo. I like puppies and sunshine. I love horses and riding, I love music of all kinds but not rap so much. I can take country as long as it is not the crying in your beer stuff. I grew up on rock-n-roll and still love that. I like jazz, live bands and orchestra music also. I like to shoot pool and I like to watch hockey. I like to go to the stadium and watch football and baseball also. I love flowers so botanical gardens are very nice to go to. My favorite flowers are roses and calla lilies. My favorite colors are green, blue, and burgundy. My favorite seasons: autumn and spring.

Angl5 - I am a happy, giving, secure, well liked woman. My friends describe me as very passionate about life and a faithful, always there person. My outlook on life is to enjoy each day as it comes and handle whatever comes my way. My personality makes me one person everyone loves to be around. I tend to make everything and everyone I touch happier by just being there!!! I accept people for who they are and not for what they have. I think twice and speak once and make it count!!!

Rev_Red - My brothers and I all have red hair, although our parents have dark black hair. The gene comes from our great-grandmother, who had fiery red hair. All three of us have different shades of red and different thicknesses. Mine is the truest red and the thickest of the bunch. I work with children for a living and they marvel at the fact that even my arm hair and eyelashes are red. My wife has red highlights in her brown hair, so we look forward to red headed children!

jules12001 - I always hated my red hair from the time I can remember. I was made fun of all the way through high school. When I got to college, I finally realized that I loved my red hair. I get compliments all the time...which I'm sure all of us do! I am very lucky that I have only a few freckles. I always hoped for red-head children, but as you can see, the chances are slim to none :(

IrishGypsy - I'm a 25 year old Irish Hungarian redhead...Opera Singer & Actress. My first name, McCall, is Gaelic for "fair haired". I have terrific parents, two beautiful sisters, a great boyfriend, and an insane little calico named Terpsie (Terpsichore). I'm 5'7, with long reddish blonde hair (my nickname in junior high was Carrot, but it's lightening as I get older...yay!), cute I hope...I love to smile and I'm full of energy.

johngalt1074 - I was blessed with redhair, thankfully because both my parents were redheads. So thankfully the gene pool odds were in my favor. I must marry my own hair color in order to help create enough of us in the future so we can take over the world. I am a hopeless romantic who is willing to prove it, I own at least 35 chick flicks, I know what you may be thinking and yes I bought them on my own, I swear there was no drugs used as a mind control forcing on me to buy them. My favorite thing in life is creating the perfect date (Romantic Savanger Hunts are the best).

scoofy - Well, describing myself is difficult. I grew up in Texas (talk about sunburns), went to Boston University (got a degree in philosophy), now I am back in Texas. After leaving Boston, I noticed that there had been more redheads in there and subsequently began discovering my uniqueness. It was interesting because in boston the redheads tended to be irish, while I come for and English-German family. Thus even in Boston I always had a different complexion than the Irish decendents. I believe that my hair has been a distinct part of my life, having my youngest sister being the only living family member with red hair (two of my great grandmother did). Also I was the only redhead in my highschool class, granted it was a graduating class of only fifty students. It has bothered me lately that red haired and freckled people are not often shown as beautiful. My ponderings of these topics are probably heavily influenced by my love for philosophy. Regardless, I also am a music lover, golfer, and guitar player. I also plan to go to graduate school in philosophy within a few years.

Kareneeb - I have always known that there is a stereotype that goes with redheads, but wow was it pretty obvious reading through all of the other redhead bios. There seems to be two different clubs, though...the introverted shy redhead that does have a temper when pushed...and the fiery all the time redhead that has passion and temper coming out of every pore. I would be of the second type. I am fiery all the time, I am the pusher, I am passionate about all my values/beliefs, very opinionated and stubborn, loud with high energy, EXTREMIST in every way, love intelligent debate/confrontation. Cannot handle stupid people/people who do not introspect/who have not looked outside the box. I am very confident which can be confused with arrogance to most people who don't understand me. It takes a special kind of person to handle my personality and to like me, which is just the way I like it...I have my own built in people filter.

Gracie - No matter how high I go in my organization or how many things I accomplish, no matter the good deeds done, the local, state, and national presentations made, I am defined by the color of my hair, not the quality of my character. I workout (Karate) and keep my body in exquisite health and condition and still hear that my hair is my, only redeeming physical attribute.

v - Much to the surprise of my brown-haired parents, I was born a redhead with shoulder length hair. For proof, a clip of hair is still in my baby book. As I grew older my hair turned naturally blonde, though I always had a redhead's temperment, along with very fair skin and blue eyes. As a teenager I discovered henna and so began my love affair with hair colour. Since then, I have been every colour, but always come back to red in some form. My current 'do has at least three shades of red, plus black and blonde for that calico cat look. Most of my friends agree, if my hair is not red, I am not me.

RedmanRich - If you ask my friends they would say that I am "larger than life". I grew up as a chubby, redheaded kid that every one picked on in elementary school. After the 6th grade I grew up into a 6'tall, 190lb athletic young man. Well, no body picked on me any more. I used to think I was ugly and not desirable, but now I love being a redhead. I go to the hair salon and see women and men to try to get my natural hair color and it makes me smile. I am fun loving, hard working, and very secure with myself. I am in the service business and am well trusted and respected. I love the outdoors; camping, fishing, boating, mountain biking, sightseeeing, and animal watching. I have also been known to curl up in my big recliner on rainy days, with candles lit, and hide out watching movies or just listening to music. I grew up in the city, but my reletavies live in the country so I grew up with the best of both worlds. Old fashion traditional morals and values with street smarts.

Sorgenkind - A self-sufficient, career-minded, intelligent 39 y. o. mother of 2. I am not superficial nor am I judgmental. I am interested in people from the inside out. I have found it rather difficult in this selfish society today to meet people who chooses their acquaintances based on their personality and not their looks or possessions. I am down to earth, have a good head on my shoulders and my heart is in the right place.

Shannon94 - Hi! I am a fiery redhead with a temper to match, although I think I've mellowed some. I'm a classic Leo, with a bubbly, outgoing personality and magnetic charm. I have a "Far Side" sense of humor. I'm also passionate, romantic, an incredible flirt and very playful. I'm not a wallflower; I'm going to be out there in front! I tend to be in the spotlight whether I intend to be or not. Family and friends come first in my life, and I'm fiercely loyal to them. I will not, however, be walked on, and I don't take betrayals lightly. I have an iron will and can be stubborn at times. I love to go on adventures, even at a moment's notice. I am the mother of two wonderful boys, and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world! I am thrilled that they are redheads and that their color matches my own. I am teaching them that they should be proud of the beautiful color that God has given to them, and to never try to change it. Their road will be easier, because little redheads are everywhere now - a far cry from when I was one of two in my whole school, K-6!

66echo - Delighted to see somebody made a site for "us,". Think it is funny we are picked on as kids, now everybody wants redhair. I always say, one does not "become" a redhead, they "are" a redhead. I do have a fiery temper which I have learned to control. Like the typical Sag girl I love my horses. Do not tell me what I can and can't do, I will do it just to prove you wrong.

Jaxita - Cranky sarcastic 42 year old redhaired Scorpio wench with a short temper and a huge heart.. happily reunited adoptee (found my birthmom in May 2006, met her & my siblings in June 2006).. happily divorced mom of 3 great kids (a 22 year old daughter, & sons 17 and 14).. lifelong bookworm.. lover of all things Irish/Celtic (courtesy of my Irish-Scottish-English ancestry, not because it's the latest fad *eyeroll*).. n00b homeowner as of January 2005.. progressive/power metal freak.. long time supporter of/former webmistress for the now-defunct Power of Omens.. Jax of all trades/fan club president for Symphony X.. Senior Staff/Moderator on Ultimate Metal.. Gold Badge Raffle Administrator for ProgPowerUSA.. former Internet DJ on Ytseradio (1999 to 2004).. yadda yadda yadda.

RADSneetch - I am Irish. I have an Irish-redheads personality. It can best be described as "Spit-fire!" Maureen O'Hara has always been the person i look up to because she was a beautiful redhead who had it all. I put up a front, but i am actually very easy to get to. i am extremely sarcastic and when confronted with a problem I get very serious. I work hard and play even harder. That is who I am.

FaerieDreamr - I am 33 years old and have always been a dreamer. I still believe good will reign over evil, and that people will someday learn to tolerate each other. MUSIC is my life. Without music, the silence would surely kill my spirit. I have music on in my house 24/7. Almost like a soundtrack to my moods. Yes, I have a Fiery temper, but it's usually for morons. I have no patience for people who are mean or rude. More times than not, I'll be the one to stand up and tell you where to stick it. Treat me with kindness and respect, you'll get the same back. Treat me rudely, you'll get a piece of my mind, then i'll be done with you. You can talk until you're blue, but I won't be listening. I'm a people lover. I tend to like everyone until given a reason not to.I'm online to have fun and chat with as many people as I can. And I'm thrilled to find this site dedicated to the most awesome, mysterious and sexy creatures on Earth.......REDHEADS!

redcatt - As most redheads are, I'm passionate about what I do and what I believe in. I can get moody at times, and have a deceiving personality....I think people think I'm sweet and innocent when they first meet me because I'm so quiet...however, cross me the wrong way and you'll find otherwise! Generally, I am nice though. I have trouble saying no..I always want to help or contribute in some way. I live with my boyfriend now, and I have no children except for our kitten and the occasional visits from my best friend and her new baby. I work in insurance and I hate my job..I get a little taste of what heart-attack victims go through everyday. Hopefully I'll continue going to school and get a better opportunity to do something with my life...wow..think that about covers it..I'm rambling....what else is new!

Ozzie - I am a natural redhead and love it. I have a strong character and a temperate disposition. It takes alot to set me off, but look out when it happens. I love to laugh and have a mischevious sense of humour. I am a loyal friend and employee and cannot tolerate anything less from others. My friends say I have a great smile....and I get many compliments on my hair color - people often ask if it is my true color. I'm happy and proud to say that it is. Redheads really DO have more fun!

reddove - I think of myself as outgoing...my friends say I never meet a stranger. I love to laugh and I smile a lot. I grew up most of my life in North Carolina, but have been living in Tennessee the past five years;I will always be a Tar Heel at heart. As a child I often wondered why I was the only one in my immediate family with red hair, but as I got older I realized what a true blessing it really is to be different.

CrrtTp1125 - I'm 18 and just recently married the most wonderful man in the world on June 11. I'm pretty outspoken... but i can generally get along with anybody. I work a lot but when I'm not at work I like to go out and have a good time. There's not much to do around here but I think its easy to have a good time just hangin out with friends, which is what I usually do. Of course there's always Walmart...but I've married a Target man...so now that's an option too I suppose:)

KelticQueen - My husband describes me as beautiful, brilliant and sweet, but he is wonderfully prejudiced. He calls me Dream Come True. Actually, I am quiet and bookish; but love costume parties and little theater. I love shopping and have a wardrobe Imelda Marcos would envy. I have been a model and an actress. I sew my own costumes. I have a mechanical aptitude, but I enjoy being a girl... I have four degrees and studied law in England. I like the British beers and pubs. The cathedrals and museums, the Roman ruins, Stone Age sites, ancient battlefields, footpaths, and canals with their narrowboats fascinate me. I dislike WalMart, voice messaging, telemarketers. Also, I despise the decline of personal responsibility, the cult of victimhood, and political correctness. I LIKE being a freckled-faced redhead!

MidisSweety - I am an absolutely funloving, easy going woman. I look and feel much younger than I am. I'm a divorced, but very taken, mother of a teenaged son (save me please) and a flirty, funny daughter. I live in Central Arkansas with the love of my life and enjoy every minute of being with him. I love the outdoors other than when it's to cold or to hot. I love the sound of the rain on the roof and the wind through the trees in the mountains. I consider myself a hopeless romantic, passionate person, and to sentimental. I also have a very fiery temper when I get angry and have been known to cut someone to the quick when they make me mad or hurt someone I love. I'm also known to be sarcastic and have a twisted sense of humor. I take awhile to warm up to people I have just met, somewhat quiet and shy until I get to know you.

LuNaKittay - I'm nineteen and a sophmore at the Tyler School of Art. I'm a true redhead and adore being just that. I'm a jewelry design and metalsmithing major with a minor in art history. I also do quite a bit of fashion design and sewing. I suppose I'm crafty. I live just outside of philadelphia and spend most of time visiting galleries in old city, drinking coffee and driving around in my car, which is just as red as my hair...

tree - I am easy to get along with and I have a very mellow attitude about life. I enjoy lake recreation, solving computer related problems, and working with others so they can understand how to do what they need to with computers. I am interested in following the Natural Way and believe that our society must learn to exist in balance with our environment because it's the only one we have. I am patient and friendly towards strangers.

Swan - Well my nickname is swan. I have a passion for music, art, pranks, and movies. I'm a christian and I am 6 feet tall.... I can play all the clarinets, flute and a lil sax. Oh and english handbells. My favorite subject in school was science and art....yay! Yes thats right. Hehe anything you want to know about me ask..... I love fairys and hot sauce too! I love anything and everything irish, scottish, native american, british. and i am a costume freak! i have problems..yay.

ihnOpahp - I am a petite, fiery redhead, like my grandmother before me. I've been growing my hair out for the past 8 years, and it is just over waist-long. I have fair skin with freckles all over, and one of my "summer hobbies" is to try and get my arms to "freckle tan" evenly. Languages and secret codes fascinate me, and have created at least two of each. I also love to read, draw, and write. I am thoughtful, and enjoy my "quiet time", often coming up with any number of creative ideas every so often. All in all, i think being a redhead is one of the greatest things ever.

GabbyDBAB - I love to laugh and make people laugh. If I'm not laughing or at least smiling, people think there's something wrong with me. I am a hopeful romantic...not hopeless, but hopeful because I believe there's someone out there that fits my standards. I'm a Christian, so it seems that I will never find a guy, but I know it's in God's timing not mine. I'm working on going to college to become a minister, hopefully I won't have to wait too much longer. Good thing I'm patient.

Numexekin - I am twenty-eight years old. I am of Mexican and Spanish descent, this propmts many questions about the milkman. Fortunatly one of my four siblings is also a redhead. I am a native New Mexican transplanted in Texas.

vikinggit - Well, I like to think I am generally a happy bloke. I think I am shy but all my mates think I am the reason the group gets to meet new people. Maybe it is because I hate being shy and force myself to talk to people. I suggest this to my friends and they think I am barking mad. I do get on with people - so long as there is a little respect and appreciation for others. Not too keen on violence (except I used to play and still enjoying watching rugby - where does that figure?). I am a master of understatement and sarcasm, enjoy banter and poking fun - and get a fair bit in return from those who understand the game.

algal - I am a youthful, passionate individual that constantly needs to be kept busy. I am very athletic, and a huge sports fan...especially baseball. Go Braves! I also love football, and naturally, the Georgia Bulldogs (my alma mater). I am a natural person, makeup free and adventurous. I love the outdoors, the beach, warm weather, and bulldogs. No matter what, I always try to have fun...life is too short not to enjoy it. I hated my hair when I was little...but there's no denying that it is RED. Now, I love it for what it is...a unique and beautiful trait that always brings envy.

redlizard217 - Ok, so I'm a student at LSU, currently a French major. I loooovvveee foreign languages, especially French (duh!). I've played the piano since I was 7, and i sing a little too. I am interested in almost everything, I'm a very curious person. I'm very argumenative, my dad says I'd argue with a fence post, and I would if the fence post could talk lol. I'm also very interested in anthropology, especially forensics (not the CSI crap!) and celtic studies. I love Maureen O'hara, Nicole Kidman, and Pippi Longstocking! I've been battling anorexia nervosa since junior high, but I am much better now, and hope to stay that way.

cwiddo - Well, I'd say I'm at least as crazy as the rest of you. In good and bad ways. I am a very caring, patient, and compassionate person, and I love being able to express that. But on rare occasions, I also have the trademark "wrath of the almighty" redhead temper. I love a good party, and also having a nice quiet night.

I've always been a very physical person. Ice hockey is my game of choice because it's so fast and hard hitting. Though snowboarding rules too and can be even more hard hitting. But I'll settle for just about any game as long as theres good competition.

Catherine - Sassy, smart, funny, honest, and outspoken. I have a great sense of humor, I love to laugh (long and loud) and I love to talk. I have a great job that I love (I know weird). And I have 3 great dogs that are my kids. I like almost all kinds of music, from heavy metal (Disturbed) to easy listening (the carpenters, yes I said it!) I also like tattoos, piercings, not a must, but a plus. I guess I'm a bit wild, although you probably wouldn't guess that.

Redheadsoccermom - fun, not so outgoing, really chill with everyone i know, extremely dependable, trustworty, just looking to have a good time while trying to find my place in life, ive got good friends to help me along the way, and i thank god for them every day, although im not so much the religious type. im always willing to try things once, and can someone please tell me, what do they say about red heads? and is anyone else sick of hearing that?

lynzabeth - I've always loved being a red head, as it is a big family tradition. My mother, little brother, grandfather, and neice all have red hair. Even my father has the tradtional brown hair, but a red beard.

I'm a psychology student at Mary Washington and I enjoy studying child psychology. I hope one day to be able to work in a group foster home. For right now, though, I enjoy hiking and camping and all sorts of adventure. I worked as a camp counselor at a girl scout adventure camp this summer and had the best summer of my life.

tsukata - I write a ton of information about me on my website. If you go there and browse for awhile, you'll probably know more than you will learn from this. Nonetheless, you can consider this to be the reader's digest version. If you were to glimpse at my PDA, you'd see a schedule full of work, road rallies, orienteering, Mensa meetings/events, gaming (mostly german-style board games, some CCGs and strategic games), bowling, duplicate bridge, tivo, video poker, and movies. I try to stay busy...it's usually not difficult. I travel at least once a month, usually more...Vegas, Phoenix, Detroit, whatever suits my fancy. I have one cat, who is adorable and makes life grand. I also have one boyfriend, who I live with, who is even more adorable and continously keeps me giddy with delight. So, that's me. Who are you?

Zippy - I found this site just as I realized that I am gravitating, over time, to other redheads so that we are all banded together in our need for umbrellas at the beach and understanding hairdressers. At least all the redheads I know.

I have both stereotypical redhead and Libra traits. I like balance (doing crazy things, doing very calm, quiet things); I also like to be 'one of the guys', and a confidante for my friends.

Wheemer - I'm a quite person amoung normal company. I usaully find everyday conversation a bore. Life is a never ending quest for experience. You are what you say you are, the power of words. Your own energy comes from your self control, inside you. In an effort to keep my life completely stress free, I'm moving to Newfoundland, my place of birth. From a 3-4 million population metropolis to a 5000 poulation town. I'm hoping to enjoy more freedom with this new lifestyle. I'm starting a computer support company, something I've always wanted to do. I must admit that I love mental relaxation, meditation, marajuana etc... And physical activity. I'm a believer in universal knowledge. I love spirituality and high intelligence. I believe that when a redhead learns to erase negativity from their brain and love themselves amazing things can happen. We are some of the most intellegent people out there. I'll stop here.

Mima - I am an Aussie redhead who is of Scottish, Irish and Spanish decent. I have very pale skin and heaps of freckles that have thankfully faded over the years ;-) I am: independent, reserved, witty, compassionate, temperamental, strange, impatient, whimsical, perceptive, composed, intense, secretive and idealistic.

flamethrower - Outgoing, family oriented, try to find the positive in most situations. Avoid arguments for the most part but if caught in the middle of one a general response would be "you're right and I'm wrong" and then leave the room. It's worked so far. Extremely honest... could be my downfall! Love to laugh... loud and often (which I think is the key to the good life). That's about it.. pretty basic. Simple.

AngellEyez - Greetings & Salutations from Central NJ...

Let's see, I am a sincere, honest, intelligent, sarcastic, & fun person. I am Irish Catholic, so maybe the sarcasm goes without saying. What you see is what you get...which could be a good or bad thing depends on who you ask =0). I live about an hour south of NYC, 2 hours east of Philly, an hour & a half from AC (Atlantic City) and 10-15 minutes from the Jersey Shore (Sandy Hook/Sea Bright) - hence the Central NJ.

Carnivale - I'm a philosopher first, a redhead second and a woman third. Until last year I was going to be an achaeologist - but now I have settled into philosophy and I am on the path to be a professor and writer. I used to excavate the earth and now I excavate souls. That is what interests me, the inner workings of our innerselves. I believe we must bring the inner out - or we can never be whole people. A lot of this feeling comes from Kundalini yoga - a few years ago I became a certified yoga teacher and it completely changed my view on life and on how I treat my body... more than anything - it made me want to help people. Yoga for me is a gift and it is one that I want to share with others.

EdukatedRed - I have a very outgoing, sometimes overbearing personality. I can be quite moody but am very caring about my friends and family. Those who are my "true" friends have my ever-dying love. But I have no use for fair-weather friends or for those who "need" me, if that makes sense. I love to have fun ... with fun being anything from dancing, hiking, or sitting in companionable silence reading a book!!

uhohlexie - I travel between Michigan and Illinois often. I am involved in arts and music. I am going to attend school for Landscape architecture. Im have alot of intrest in reality, I would like to develop homes and property. Ultimatly I would like to develop and run a small resort in Michigan. I guess Im ambitious, but I hear thats a good quality. More about myself. Im a bit sarcastic, But funny.. I think anyway, Idno, most people seem to like me.

Capricorn548 - A lot of people tell me my hair matches my personality. That's because my personality is fiery. I look sweet and innocent, but my mouth has been known to be on the same level as a truck driver. There is nothing wrong with truck drivers. I drive one myself. My truck is my life, sad to say. I am absolutley in love with it. I don't even care about all the strange looks I get or the old men who try to pick me up. Something I really love is my cats. My boyfriend complains that they get more attention than he does. I guess that's it for now!

WaterRedwood - Well, lets see, personality, eh? I'm a pisces, but very aquarian. I'm very eclectic, I like about everything. I'd like to direct films once I get out of school, and am currently studying English and Multimedia and Theater. I'm terrible at choosing one path, so it's hard.

I love movies and I love to read. My favoire book is Tigana by Guy Gavriel Kay, and I don't really have a favorite movie, though I really like Lord of the Rings, Newsies, Grosse Pointe Blank, Ever After, Fight Club, and The Lion in Winter. Strange mix, I know.

Laura - I'm a typical redhead- passionate and fiery. I love being around people, especially if I'm the center of attention. I am shy with new people but turn them into friends quickly most of the time. I dont get angry easily, but when the right person tries, I can hold a grudge for ages. I laugh at just about everything and am really affectionate to the people in my life. I grew up wanting to dye my hair brown, which shocked my mother. I hated being different because I was shy and just wanted to fit in. Now, I LOVE my hair and wouldnt trade it for anything. I love standing out and being special. At the beginning of the year, my hair was down to my waist and I cut off 13 inches to send to LocksOfLove. It was a great feeling but a shock to my system because I'd never had my hair that short.

Satin - Greetin's fellow fiery ones! Some might say I fit the stereotype of a redhead. I'm passionate in all aspects of my life, including work, personal relationships, beliefs, ideas, and ideals. I'm the creative sort. I'm a writer by education, but sketch, and have a very interesting job in the video gaming industry. I'd say I'm witty, fun to be around, and intelligent...though some might disagree...in which case I say it's them who are challenged. I love to meet people and enjoy to go out and have a good time. Stray and get on my bad side and I have that infamous redhead temper -- which, incidentally, I dub "passion."

redhead72 - Hello from the south! 100% natural, no additives or preservatives. I hated being redheaded growing up. All the boys teased me...now I know it was because they had a crush on me. Basically, I am quite the tempermental one, but I think that is becoming less and less with time. I am very loving and giving, but if your cross me, you better watch out. Nothing is more important to me than family. I'm assuming my loyalty stems from being a Taurus. I love the attention I get from people about my hair...especially if it's an attractive man! I know we are few and far between, but I'm likely to scream if one more person asks what color I use on my hair! Over the years, the color has changed. When I was younger it was close to an orange...man, that was bad! Within the past 5 years, it has gotten darker. It used to be real long, but now I keep it medium length because it's so thick. I feel truly blessed to be a redhead. It's unfortunate that others cannot understand our true uniqueness. ;)

Pookie - I was raised in Medway, Maine (1 hour North of Bangor...) I've also spent time living in New York, Boston, and New Hampshire. My boyfriend and I have been living in Florida for almost a year. I absolutely love Florida! The beaches, the weather, the environment, the weather, oh, I already said that...I am, however, a skiier and hiker, and am trying to find some 'constant summer' variations of the sports.

Eastodariver - I am a slighty flaky, very outgoing, Red Sox loving, Nissan drivin', Bruce Springsteen playing at the volume of 30 soccer mom from northeastern Connecticut. Not only am I a redhead, I am the mother o one too (that would be the middle son). If anyone can warn me more about what it's like to parent a fire haired youngster, please let me know!

Thunder - Juicing veggie head who changes shape like the clouds in the sky, really to much yoga and Zen to be confined in a body let alone a personality. I use to do plumbing and counseling psychotherapy Laing & Leary style as well as street preacher so I can't figure me out and neither could my Mom but I guess this is normal for a redhead. I am a cup of organic coffee looking for uncooked honey. The checkbook is never balanced and my chariot goes too fast.
