The Member Profiles.

p8ntmeifucan - Hmm.. Well, I would describe myself as a mature, intellectual, young girl. I have a rather sarcastic sense of humor. I am very ambitious and self-reliant. I also know how to have a good time, I am not a total adult. Haha. I am very well organized and like to keep things in their places. I am the person you would see carrying around a pocket organizer 24/7. I love to be the center of attention at all times.

redflame83 - I am a college student in Washington State doing what I need to get done to complete my English literature degree so that I can begin working on my teaching certificate. I am planning to teach English literature and humanities, as well as teach English to speakers of other languages. I am usually pretty optomistic about life and enjoy making other people smile. I am one of those people who views the glass as being half full rather than half empty.

GingerStu - I think I must have had pretty much the same experiences as most other redheads, the jokes, the taunts and the teasing and the feeling of being singled out because of my hair colour. There have been times when I have wished I weren't a redhead (and one occasion when I dyed it black - a big mistake lol) but at the end of the day I enjoy being unique and I'm proud to call myself 'ginger'. I don't know whether I believe in the all the myths surrounding redheads, but I must admit that a fit a few of them. Though I'm usually very placid with the patience of a saint I do have a fiery temper bumbling under the surface. I guess I fit the creativity side too as I'm primarily an Artist with aspirations of Illustrating children's books and/or concept designing for films and television. I'm a bit of a geek too and love all things sci-fi and fantasy, Star Wars, Computers and wargaming. I'm shy and not particularly outgoing but confident when it counts.

joymariah - Temper, Temper, Temper....that's what my mother used to say when I was growing up, I didn't realize that my hair was the cause of it until I was older. I am a fun outgoing girl with a great life. My husband of 6 years and I met in high school, we dated throughout college and married shortly after. We just recently bought our first "single family home" (we used to live in a townhome) and are really enjoying fixing it up! I like camping, hiking, swimming, and almost anything outdoors! I teach Kindergarten and love my kids! I love everything about my life!

Redlooni - Enjoy an active lifestyle, any time I sit still for more than five minutes I get anxious and look for something new or just plain old trouble. I have the charicteristic bad temper and tend to say exactly what's on my mind. I enjoy outlets like the gym, running, wrestling, boxing, and an occasional video game. I am the only member of my living member of my family with bright red hair, my sister has stawberry blond while the rest of my family has dark brown hair.

ReddClover - It's hard to describe myself. My life has changed so much in the past year that I feel maybe my complete feeling of wholeness is no longer around, although everything is looking up. My family and friends would most describe me as.. someone who know's what she wants, very, very rarely takes no for an answer, and will always be there when someone is in need, and has an aura about herself that is amazing and will never leave you, if you are lucky enough and daring enough to get to know me.

IrishMaise - It's fun being a redhead especially in a big city. Though I get the normal catcalls for being a redhead some can get out of hand. Others ask if I colour my hair.I hate that...I really do. Some stranger asking you that on the streets..not a good way to make friends. :) Being a redhead is so cool, it's as though you are part of an elite club. I'm the only red head at school so it's very easy to know who everyone's speaking of, I find it funny though I met another girl in the acting programme who also is a redhead. We started eyeing each other up and had our own secret eye to eye battle on who was the better redhead. We're tough folks right? Right?

Stephy_Leigh - As a child I hated my hair and even asked my grandmother if we could go out and buy a wig so I could, "cover this mess up!" I have since realized that my hair is part of who I am and that it matches my outgoing and strong personality. I am well read, well spoken (most of the time), take pride in my ability to get along with just about anyone, I am creative, have strong values, and an excellent sense of humor.

redheaddrew - Always enjoying life & coaching others to do the same. Appreciating just the mere existance on this planet is a blessing, but then it helps to be married to the greatest guy in the world & having the 6 greatest kids. Keeping in touch with family & friends is the ultimate choice, when idle from that, I am always creating something.

Enjoy traveling around the United States, visiting family & site-seeing. Especially enjoy visiting the state capitals. Dabbling a little in amateur photography, I can never have enough hours in the day to photograph all the beauty in the world, even on a rainy day.

aggiered - I'm a very outgoing person who loves to meet new people and travel to new places. Learning about all the ways redheads are different in all aspects is a true fascination for me. I love people that can carry on an intellectual conversation because I tend to be a deep person. I love art, reading, music, and spending lots of time with the people I love. I like to think I'm witty, but I know I can also be very sarcastic. I also have a hard time describing myself.

The_Red - I'm an easy-going guy. I like to meet new people, but sometimes it takes me a while to fully open up to people. The more I get to know a person/people the more lively and communicative I am. I love to have fun and do (or watch people do) crazy things...I also enjoy mature, intellectual activities. I succeed when I apply myself, otherwise I fail miserably. Self-descriptions are usually vague...to truly know what I am like one has to get to know me well.

angie - OKay, I am a cute redhead as you can see. Can you believe the big 40 I love it, no one can guess that. I used to be this little shy freckle face carrot top as everyone said, and now I love it, because I am the center of attention, and because I am in school everyone wants to work on my redhair, I love being a redhead, and a twin, and I love talking to other redheads, and having fun but I am also a caring loving individual, who is sincere and always loves to meet new friends, I do have a redhead temper, lol but not that bad, and I love to be a clown and make people laugh. I love adventures and doing things at a whim. I love going to the movies and hanging out with my friends, chatting on line, and I also belong to the panda bear pen pal club. Thats because I love Panda's. But most of all, I enjoy being a true redhead, and being proud of it, and Yes folks, I am Italian, Irish, german, finland, good combo! Anyhow, I love people, animals, books, drawing, crafts, traveling, movies, comedies, and love sweaters! Redheads always look awesome in sweaters!

Jaimie - I got married 6 months ago to a great guy who's actually on the website. This moved me from Tennessee to the somewhat not-so-great state of Delaware. Everthing's been pretty smooth compared to the horror stories you hear about newlyweds after the honeymoon is over! I love him more than anything and he worships me, as it should be! haha Other than that the past 6 months have felt like I've started a new phase of my life and I'm just hanging on for the ride.

Bridgeypoo - I am a happily married mother of 2 beautiful children, of which, one happens to be a redhead. I enjoy musical theatre (performance), I sing in a band and with the NC Baptist Singers. I also play the bassoon, which makes me even more unique I suppose. :) I enjoy traveling and am going to Belgium next July. I am so excited! I am an outgoing person, which would be an understatement and am pretty funny. I love cats and we have 6. :)

Jim_Steele - "I told them my name was Jim Steele, just for the hell of it."--Holden Caulfield

I always figured Holden Caulfield for a redhead, because he says that his brother Allie and sister Phoebe had red hair. Perhaps this is just idealistic noodling on my part. After all, no one in my family has red hair , so I guess there's no guarantees about Holden, but I like the idea of the redheaded literary anti-hero. Plus, if old Holden Caulfield has red hair, then perhaps it cancels out the grievous injury done to the reputation of redheads by that braying moron Carrot Top. What an idiot. Seriously, tho', how can you save anyone money by making collect calls? In the final karmic reckoning, there's a special level of hell reserved for Carrot Top.

queenmaureen - I love being a redhead, and by most people that know me, am regarded as a bit of a fire brand. Imagine that! The question I have is this: did redheads get this way because of the redhead "experience" or does it genetically go with the hair? Regardless, my passionate personality goes well with my look...and men seem to love that!

Phmadawa - I am an energy filled community involved individual. I know I am here for a purpose because God allowed me to be such a unique individual. I am somewhat of an artist and have a creative mind. My husband puts up with my organizational obsession and loves me inspite of my bossy nature :o) I'm a true leader and love to help others see success. I often look around a room and see if there are other redheads and usually you can count us on one hand and I think WOW, I don't have to worry about making a statement any other way but with my hair! I guess the thing that concerns me most is losing my "color" as I age. What will I do?

teartear - hey, I'm Jenni, i'm a senior in high school. I love the out-doors, hiking, rock climbing, that sort of stuff. I love music and going to shows. I'm pretty open-minded about stuff in general, and i love writing, it's my outlet for everything. I also enjoy photography and dancing. I don't smoke, and i'm not a big fan of people who do. I'm pretty outgoing, and i love meeting new people.

unchicorojo - I am currently a junior in college majoring in Industrial Technology at the University of Texas in Tyler. I enjoy my job, enjoy reading my Celtic history, I enjoy my fiance. She's on this site too. She loves my red hair to death. I like to collect Celtic weapons, Dewalt tools and music. I plan to finish college, get married, have a great job, and have redheaded children.

pennielover - I am eccentric and from a family of redheaded eccentrics. I am half extroverted and half introverted. I like going to the movies, exploring new houses, puzzles and family, church and community activites. I am the proud mother of two redheaded boys ages nine and eleven. I am a substitute teacher while I am completing my criminal justice degree. I hope to someday become the proud w owner of a Irish Setter. I was teased growing up but think it's ironic now how people admire my hair and want to pay to have the same "orange" hair I was once teased for!

angiered - My husband and I are Texas transplants by way of Nebraska (go Huskers!). I live a pretty uncomplicated and relaxing life. I am a fierce debater and everyone remembers my laugh (I am not sure if that is good or bad).

Hansarde - I am very tall (6' 6"), about 230lbs and when I say athletic I don't mean in the thick/overweight sense. I mean athletic in that I can run a few flights of stairs without collapsing. I live in Anderson, on the east side of Cincinnati. I enjoy traveling, have lived all over the US and in Canada. I don't like to play games and am very honest/up front with people. Often that back fires because few people know how to handle someone who is always honest. I am the friend who always opens my big mouth about what I believe is right no matter how unpopular my opinion. I am the guy who will pick you up from the bar at 2am so you don't drive drunk or babysit on short notice. I prefer to hang out with my at a nice bar or home rather than party until I pass out.

Becci - I am mostly outgoing, sometimes shy. I am blissfully married to a fellow redhead for almost 8 years. Having red hair was never a big deal to either of us - it added to our love in fact. We love that we both have red hair and many aspects of our life reflect this. Our email addresses for one thing and our motto (and our license plate ring) which reads, "Two Reds Are Better Than One". How true! We look forward to someday having red haired children and expanding the population of the red haired, which is unique and rare indeed!

RedK - Passionate, Outgoing, Emotional, Loyal, Loving. Those were just some of the words I could think of. I have children so motherly definitely should be included. Sometimes when I am with them it's hard to tell who's more mature! I am passionate about being a good mom, a devoted Christian, and an all-around good human being. I work at small private university and I love it! I love having red hair because it sets me apart and people are always so mesmerized by it, so I always feel special.

ScarletSoul - Being a redhead is like having a mysterious enigma woven about you. People always seem to be watching and wondering ... For me, my red hair has become something that makes me feel unusual and unique in a world of blondes and brunettes. A boy in Ireland once told me that my red hair was "deadly beautiful" and a redheaded photographer told me that when he visited various countries overseas, people would come up to him and touch his hair, telling him that he was "blessed", because God touched him and made his blood flow through their hair. I'm not a religious gal, but it sure feels nice for a redhead to be seen as a rare blessing in the eyes of certain people! :) Behind the scarlet veil, I'm a web designer with a passion for music, writing, and living life to its fullest!

Lola - Born a redhead, endured the traumatized childhood of a redhead, became appreciated as a redhead, and I will die a redhead (with a little help from Loreal). I'm pretty blunt when speaking my mind, and enjoy a good debate. I enjoy photography, scrapbooking, reading, and a good movie. I love sports as well. My favorites are football and hockey. I am of Scandinavian descent, and it drives me batty to have to explain that not all redheads are Irish or Scottish.

Meridian - I have always told everyone that I might only be 5'2" physically, but mentally I'm 6'4", an Amazon queen. I'm strong and independent. I have a temper, which has mellowed over the years. It is still there, just doesn't need to rise as often. I'm a Libra, but not entirely. I'm an artist, and a real fairness freak. I also take so much time weighing the pros and cons that I can fall to procrastination. I love being, living and working in a beautiful environment. Difficult with a two year old and a husband!! I don't live to socialize. I'm just as happy in my own company as with others. I love the people I love very strongly. I don't have hordes of friends, but those I do have are true and in some cases have been with me a lifetime. I make an effort to nurture these relationships. Seriously, who doesn't need love in their life? My family is first priority. My daughter is my favorite work of art. I'm loyal and nonjudgmental. I love a good laugh, and sometimes a good cry. So there you are, not a total Libra. I guess this is my essence. But I'm really just a work in progress. Aren't we all?

red_rennie - I'm all sorts of creative - I play piano, flute, recorder, guitar, drums, and I sing - basically, if I've got a new instrument and an hour or so, I can play *something* on it! I've just been introduced to dulcimer and hurdy gurdy, and I love it! I'm a professional graphic artist - I've done traditional and digital art and webpage design. I also design jewelry and clothing - I've got a home business for my jewelry, and I like to focus on Medieval/Renaissance and Fantasy themes for the jewelry and clothing. I tend to have a positive outlook on life, and I can find the humor in almost any situation. I love spending time with friends - friends are what makes life interesting!

kaykay - I'm a college student in LA, currently preparing to face the music and decide what to do after I graduate. I'm deceptively quiet and reserved around people I don't know (a result of the many years of torment for both my red hair and being a good foot taller than most kids), but I let my true boisterous inner self bubble through around my friends and family. I'm not really a typical student--drinking and partying are pretty low on my to-do list--I actually enjoy studying (history and neuroscience)and just try to maintain a sane balance between friends and work.

guinnessgirl - If anyone out there remembers the Blind Melon video for "No Rain", that is how I felt about finding this site. The synopsis is basically about a little girl dressed in a Bee costume that spends all her days searching for those who look like her. At the end of the video, she comes upon a field with a bunch of other people in similar Bee costumes. Needless to say, she's ecstatic! At any rate, it's nice to be surrounded by those who know what it's like to be called 'carrot top', 'red', 'rusty', or 'copper top'. Redheads Rock!

TLC_redhead - Greetings everyone! I am currently a college student who will be earning a B.S. in secondary education, social studies in December 2004. I come from a family full of red heads and I've always loved the color of my hair. My only issue is my fair skin; I wish the sun liked me a little bit more. I am strong-willed, outgoing, a realist who likes to dream, and I am serious, yet fun at the same time!

snippygirl - I am smart, funny, passionate, loyal, opinionated, silly, and, oh yes, very snippy. Throw in moody, perfectionistic, and smart-assed, and there you have it. I live in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area with Sam, my partner of six years. We blissfully child-free...firm believers in "four legs good, two legs bad." While not a redhead himself, Sam appreciates all that comes with living with one. He is also smart enough to reassure me that I don't have as many gray hairs as I think I do, and that the bald spot I think I see is really only in my imagination.

WildDyingSun - I am making my way through life with a general plan that I often deviate from. I want to learn how to surf and take karate. I am pretty easy going and caring gal who loves to be outside. Which as we all know isn't exactly the safest place to be for some redheads. Luckily for me, I am an eighth mexican, so the sun doesn't hate me as much. I love to go to the beach, ride my bike, shop, read, whatever. I am a fan of all types of music, this includes stuff like celtic, swing, punk, native american, etc. My plans for the future include teaching with some outrageous dreams of becoming a rock star. I also love the elements ... something about them, I just feel connected. In fact ... I have I have 3 tattoos (4 total) that all involve the elements in their own way.

Mackin - I'm 6' tall with hair that turns fiery red in the summmer and dark copper in the winter. I usually sport a gotee and have been known to shave my head on occasion, but it always grows back just as red as ever. I'm interested in technology and have worked for 6 years as a Programmer/Systems Analyst specializing in Linux and Open Source. I've had a little entrepreneur spirit and am interested in learning about running my own business. I grew up and currently live in Kansas, which I have likes and dislikes about, usually depending on the time of year.

GingerGinge - I am a cheerful and vibrant redhead, in spite - or possibly because of having graced this earth for 30 years. The Northwest allows me to call it "home". I'm artistic and imaginative in many ways -which has come in extremely handy while raising my 4 children- but I have yet to conquer (or understand fully) the undaunting puzzle of marriage even after 11 1/2 years. I'm excited to expand my understanding of the redhead beyond myself. Bring on the poetry, the music, the chats and debates!

SiccNtwisted - im an attic dweller with infinite time to do whatever the fuck it is i do, which is nothing productive hence my sitting here typing this out. :) i have very little friends, and i prefer it that way.. people are selfish and demanding, friendship is fleeting.. and i enjoy isolation. whenever i can get my brain to work, i enjoy sinking into my imagination.. my hobbies reflect that. and seriously, just once can i please see a flamingo turn into a coffee machine? would be one of lifes unique thrills, indeed.

Deb_RedHead - Redhead through and through and love it. Very independent from birth - so my parents say - have always had an "I can do it myself" attitude. They may have thrown in fiery temperament, strong willed, guarded, born a 35 year old, and protective of those around her. My poor parents - sorry Mom and Dad!!! The first husband could not handle a passionate redhead but the second one can - all though he likens me to catching a shark -"you got it, and it excites you - but what the heck are you going to do with it now???" What can I say - I do love being a redhead - makes me different from the others in a crowd - still a little strange to be standing in line at the post office and feel someone touching your hair!!!

pauly - I've just spent the past year in New Zealand and OZ. Its the second time I've been down under. NZ is my favorite country in the world, and I have been provisionaly accepted for residency. I won't be back there for a while though, (if I do go back to live) as I am starting a Masters degree in Fine Art this year.

FreedSpirit - I'm sensitive but strong, artistic but logical, analytic but creative, a thinker and a doer, serious but playful. I'm insightful, wise, and discerning. I'm stern but gentle, spunky but shy, introverted but gabby. I'm moody and erratic. My life is an organized mess, chaos with meaning. I'm thoughtful and perceptive, mindful and sharp. I'm a born-again Christian. I believe that God is truth and love, and I believe in living according to the principle of speaking the truth in love. I believe the gifts of the Spirit are faith, hope, and love, and that love is the greatest.

aurorafox - I am a shy and passionate redhead who takes life ... I'm usually really easy going, but at raremoments my redhead rage comes out and things usually get thrown and broken (I got that from my grandmother who is also a redhead). I usually live in a dream world of my own composed of fantasy and sci fi novels, poetry and movies. I have a real artistic soul and that makes me a little more emotional than most people I think sometimes. I love the little things in life, like butterflies and ladybugs, strong winds, the smell of grass and the countryside, fields of yellow dandilions, the moon and stars, warm Texas nights, and the ocean. Growing up I was always a foot taller than everyone else, and always stuck out in the crowd especially with my hair color, so I always felt like I was kind of special in my own way.

misty72 - To be expanded later...

I grew up in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio and can still remember being called "carrot" in nursery school because of my red hair. It never really bothered me though. There are many other things about myself that make me different besides just my red hair!

I left Cleveland when I was 18 to go off to college, where I studied political science and environmental studies.

After completing my BA, I went off to Washington, DC - where I worked for seven years in the environmental field. Has anyone ever noticed that redheads are quite common among environmentalists? I definitely have...

Flame - I am the craziest person I have ever met. Every day I learn more about myself and being the talkative type, I usually call my best friend up to tell her all about it! Luckily, she is a non-redhead with a young redhaired daughter, so she is very interested! My husband is the second craziest person I have ever met. He claims to be a magnet for redheads, but seeing as how there aren't that many of us, statistically, I haven't been too worried. I like to cook (see me with my hand in the goose, and daughter number 1). I also like all cats except the one that lives in our house. She is a tortoise-shell, with a very proprietary attitude towards my husband, especially his socks. My children are all brilliant and adorable, much more so than anyone else's children. :)

Jeffrey - I'm a fairly independent person, perhaps like many other redheads. I can take risks and have no trouble trying new things, also fairly common redhead traits. I've never had a problem with trying a different approach to something or participating in activities for the sheer experience. I've always felt that learning is achieved by doing. I also have an artistic side that I'm assuming comes from a basic redhead passion for living.

Shuggared - I am a little on the quiet side, until I get to know someone. I like to be incognito-somehow that never seems to work for me. Love spending time with family and friends, just relaxing and having fun. I enjoy being around people who are real and true to themselves (can't stand a fake). Seems to be that I have always been a push over when it comes to helping others. (sometimes a good thing and sometimes a bad thing) I guess thats where my soft heart comes in. I enjoy being around children, because they are so carefree and have such bright personalities. I consider myself to be a mentor for younger children. Presently, I do not have my own children, but working on it! I married the love of my life two years ago and have never been happier. My husband has taught me a lot of things about life--don't take it (life) for granted and to live life to the fullest every new day.

maplered - Hmmm... Self description... Well, I'm easy going, happy go lucky and I absolutely love to be me. I'm always up for a road trip (so I can sing myself silly in the car),though I also love to veg out in my pyjamas with friends. I guess I could sum up by saying "The journey has always been about laughing together, loving each other, seeking adventure, believing in our dreams and making a difference..."

Val - I am a warm, passionate redhead who loves her family and friends dearly. I grew up being called "carrot top" and "red" and used to feel like a clown until I matured and grew into loving being a redhead. It makes me unique. My husband grew up with a redheaded sister and hated redheads because she had the temper that redheads are known for. To this day he can't believe he married one!! I don't have the fiery temper that usually goes along with being a redhead. It takes a lot to get me really angry. I love being part of the fabulous world of redheads!

sianny_bach - My friends are my foundation, going out with them and dancing makes me happy, so does my creative work, esp. Songwriting. I was born to care for people, fate always pushes me that way so I'm gonna do CSV (csv.org.uk) coz the Summer Camp people wanted me before my 18th birthday, noWayy!! Due to being bullied at school I have something called BDD, which means i pick at my skin. I'm stopping now, and when I've succeeded I'm going to get a Taurus Tattoo, even if I stop believeing in horoscopes, Taurus means more than that to me, it means strength, and being stubborn til you get what you want! :P

Siobhain - Born red, I am an outgoing, philosophical Irish woman, exploring her roots and other redheads. I am a writer, and love to travel. My family is my life, but am a devoted friend, just don't play games, and I will be your friend forever!

RavingRed - I grew up with everyone laughing and teasing me about my red hair; I went grey early about 25 years old. My husband loves my red hair, and will not let me go grey. So every few weeks I go to the shop and get it colored. Where I work I stand out because I am the only red head, and I love it.

Redhoney - You could call me a nature's child. I love everything about the "outside" world. The Michigan summer storms are my favorite treat. I love to sing as I listen to the rain. Going "up north" is something I look forward to every year to relax and enjoy everything the earth offers. Friends call me the "Detroit Snow White" as I collect all of the neighborhood strays. I would never pass up the opportunity to save an animal in need.

LuckyNun - I spent my whole life being called Pippi Longstocking, and being told the only famous person I resembled was Sissy Spacek (the girl from Carrie? that did nothing for my self esteem!). Both my boys were born with red hair, but it has turned dishwater blonde as they've gotten older. I have a feeling they'll have red facial hair, though. One day I hope to have a green-eyed girl with fiery red hair. That would be AWESOME!

melderead - I can't remember what Meyers-Briggs four letter classification I am. It had to do with being an introvert, a guardian and being detail-oriented. These are good traits for my job. My temper is redhot, but I've learned that regular feedings and plenty of sleep can keep it within acceptable norms. My family and home keep me grounded, when sometimes I'd rather be riding dragonback or dancing in space a la Spider Robinson.

beegirl - i've been a strawberry blonde all of my life. as i've gotten older i've experimented with darkening it to more auburn tones, and for now this is my preference. i'm passionate about music, art, poetry, the outdoors, cats, just to name a few. i read voraciously and love to travel. i also love to cook but i think it's a good social activity - there's nothing like cooking with good friends, especially with ella fitzgerald on in the background.

bbigred - I am a country boy, grew up as a farm boy along the Mississippi River near Cape Girardeau, MO. Came to Mich after the Army. I love the outdoors (camp, fish, hunt) I am outgoing, witty with a sense of humor. I like to read for relaxation or catch a good movie. I come from a family a many redheads, 2 sisters, a brother, and many others. I like doing handyman stuff plus working on cars when I can. My fiery temper has mellowed from my younger days. I was once told I have a anger problem, I say "don't tangle with a redhead."

marlasapothe - I am a classical redhead. Open articulate disarmingly frank and direct. I am persistent and tenacious with a great sense of humor and a tenacious logical mind. I am an aromatherapist with my own company I teach and study holistic health care. I work with M.D.'s and Dentists blending for their patients. I adhere to the health system of Willhelm Reich (of particular interest to redheads) when it comes to psychology. I am also interested in Anthroposophy, Homeopathy (Heilkunst type).

jenceltic - I'm a bold and exciting redhead that takes life by the horns. I love my redhair, and I search for other who can relate to all of the trials and happiness that redhair brings. My license plate holder on the car reads, "blondes get noticed, but a redhead is remembered." I get so many smiles and compliments on that one!

aj716 - I described myself on another site with this following statement: I guess this might best describe who I am. The year was 1974. I was 10 years old. The Vietnam war was coming to a close and Vietnamese families were being relocated thruoghout the U.S. A family just so happened to move into my modest midwestern neighborhood. School year started and one of the vietnemse boy's was our age and in my class. Yes, he was different. So in typical American fashion, when one is different, that opens the door for ridicule. This kid, (to this day, I wish I could remember his name)came to school smiling everyday because he was happy to be living in a better place. Or was he? For the first week of school, I watched as he was relentlesly picked on. I knew the feeling all to well as I grew up having red hair. But I had an equalizer. I was an pretty good athlete, (not to be a braggart) and this was my way of equalizing the score. I took him under my wing and became his friend....

mrssato - I'm a laidback person who enjoys hanging out with my hubby and our baby girl. I'm a generally happy-go-lucky person who is annoyingly optimistic. I enjoy spending quality time with the people I am close with. Our girl is almost 8 months old now, and our time is filled with chasing her around cause she is crawling like crazy!

sujaz - I guess I would describe myself as a powerful creative spiritual being, as we all are. My life is my music.. I am here to express through music. I have a good sense of humor, and being an entertainer.. it's great thing..lol. I am a liberal conservative... is that possible?? LOL I enjoy being a philanthropist, I founded several non profit organizations, Gulf Jazz Society, Bay Area Musicians Organization, and Art for Kids Sake. I would say I'm a giver rather than a taker. I am thrilled to have found a site to share with my fellow redheads! We are something aren't we!

trumpetred - Everyone who knows me, knows when to stay and have fun and when to leave me alone. While some people might call it being moody, I call it "leave me the f*** alone, I'm thinking of something else right now". Dependable to a fault, while still managing to get just about everything done. Not enough time in the day to sleep much, but plenty of time to party. If you think I'm all over the place now, wait until I get a few beers in me....... Out!
