The Member Profiles.

NeverABlonde - I'm 23, petite, have skin that tans easily despite my red hair. I have 3 tat's & will eventually have a whole garden on my back also my navel's pierced. But enough about appearences. I'm alittle oppionated but open minded. I'm also a Libra so that would explain the justice side of me. Sometimes I like to tease so the friends I have usually know how to take a fair amount of bs, and give it back as well. I like fun & easy going people, No tight a@@'s for me. Despite my sometimes tough personality I'm really a girly girl and love anything soft & feminine. I take great interest in my body and staying in shape. I'm into health and theolgy. Though I like studying religion I haven't found whats right for me. I'm more of a health & energy nut, good karma & that sort of thing. Ride free, live free kinda sums it up for the way I feel about life.

SabreSmiles - I am adventurous, ecclectic, fun, compassionate and passionate. Try to live each day to its fullest. Traveled extensively while in the Navy and now reside in Florida. Love the weather but the sunshine is quite challenging.

Someday I hope to live in or near mountains as they are about as close to heaven as we can get.

Regarding my red hair, as a child I was teased incessantly about it as well as about having lots of freckles and blushing. I was called all the usual redhead nicknames.

As an adult, I can appreciate the beauty of red hair. I enjoy the uniqueness of being a redhead and consider it a blessing.

RedWithTatts - All Me Take the time to get to know me...you will come to realize that you love me for who I am.

I am 34 years old as of February 27th which makes me a Pisces and a Wolf. I live in Chicago now. I have no children. Human Behavior is my thing, it is what makes my heart pound and keeps my mind churning!!! I am a thinker type person and I ask more questions then the FBI, just ask anyone who knows me, it drives them crazy....LOL I am what you would call a BBW=Big Beautiful Woman...if that bothers you then DON'T bother me ;- Send me an email or IM me sometime and maybe you could learn more about me ;-)

nutty_natty - I am a curvy redhead with attitude! I used to be very shy but since meeting my gorgeous fiance (Nick, aka firesoul at the realmofredheads) I am much more outgoing. Especially after a malibu and coke! haha. I have recently changed careers from a sales assistant to a Learning Support Assistant in a Primary school which I absolutely LOVE! I've found my niche. I have a younger sister who is also a redhead and she is lovely. I live near London with my fiance and his parents. We are getting married in September this year and will be moving home to our very own house after.

Avalonmun - Hmm about me. Well, I am a redhead and my personality fits to a tee. I am spontaneous, firey (although not usually to be the point of being mean), and totally in love with life. I am currently working on my masters in social work in the area of juvenile sexual offenders, so while I am used to being very upbeat and showing in everything I do how much I love life, my current responsibilities have gotten me a bit bogged down.

Being a redhead has always shaped my life, what with the constant propositions I get just walking down the street everyday. I am so excited to be in a community where people won't look at me sexually just because I have red hair :D

Sashay - Humour and intelligence would be my two favourite traits about me, along with a fierce irish/redhead temper and a large laugh. I'm a person of layers and complexities. I have a few close friends, but they don't live close enough so I'm always looking for a few more. I try to take life in big bites and enjoy it thoroughly. I'm open to new things and new experiences and I never shirk a challenge or a responsibility. My nickname is from an old dance partner who said that I don't walk across a room, but rather I "sashay" over the floor. He liked it, used it as a nick for me and it has stuck ever since!

Dee_D - Almost nine years ago I came to Japan with my husband. Growing up in Nashville Tennessee is a far cry from Tokyo Japan. We got on that plane to seek what life had in store for us and In the years that have followed we have learned many lessons. Before moving to Japan I had many jobs to support my study of art. I've been a dishwasher, a retail store manager, a painter, and a deli clerk, and owner of a metaphysical shop. I have always studied art and started out making jewelry as a beadworker and joined the Tennessee Association of craft Artist. When we moved to Japan, I got jobs teaching English as a native speaker. This was a nice opportunity for me to work and support my art studies. But I had never imagined that I would continue teaching for the next eight years. Three years ago I began studying commercial jewelry design at the prestigious Japan Jewelry Academy. Today I have certification in commercial jewelry.

firemyst - i'm a nature person. i love being in the woods, but cause of the bugs and creepy crawlers, i don't think i wanna live there. i'm told by my boyfreind that i have the kindest heart. that i'm not a hot tempered red head. BUT i am a bit obsessive and compulsive. i love religion and spirituality. a few key words that describe me are witch, zen, taoist, buddhist, tantra, kama sutra. Peace and merry meet!

vablu2 - Well, over the years I've been all shades of red depending on how much sun I get. But I've always been a redhead. I am a Dept. Supervisor w/Home Depot and have been in retail for 30+ yrs. I make friends easily and tend to be a great listener to other peoples problems. My shoulder gets cries on alot and I lend an ear a lot. But it is nice to know that I am there when people need a sounding board.

La_Belle - I am a business professional and a full time writer. Published author of Short Stories, Poetry and Memoirs. I write in many genres but have found my niche in Romance and Erotica. I am a lifelong resident of the South East and my Southern Heritage (Irish and Cherokee) is often reflected in my writing. Friendship is a sacred trust to me, I cherish my friends. I love animals of all kinds and children. I have worn many professioal hats, secretary, professional photographer, realtor, crisis counselor, and have enjoyed the unique rewards and challenges of each one. My favorite place on Earth is the top of a high mountain on a sunny day.

MerLo - I'm not good at describing myself I always sound so... goofy or mean and bitter. I am 5'8"; generally feel fat and or repulsive. Since I can walk into a room and never be noticed I guess it's true. I have been told I'm spirited, I say its more being temperamental. I can be nice too if I want or if the chemistry between me and another person is good. I'm a Libra with a Sagittarius Rising and Moon. I like the color(s) brown, light blues, certain tones of green, purples as well as the shades of black and white. I like orange too, but since I can't wear it I stay away from it. The best word to describe me is moody.

whisper422 - I stumbled upon this website completely by accident....you see I was looking for a picture of a new hair style and color. Not that I don't like my red hair, I love it. I think I'm just bored. I did this once before and dyed it jet black! I guess I won't do that again. Okay....so a little about me, I'm 27, mother of 2, a scorpio, married to Mr. right. I said right, not perfect! I tend to think I'm shy but my friends think the opposite.

AgentOrange - I sell Real Estate and love it but my first love is music. I was a drummer in a band years ago. I still have my equipment and really miss playing. I love getting away to the mountains of West Virginia to decompress, listen to country music and do some fishing...O'Yeah!

Kalisgirl - Well, I am a decent person I guess. I love tropical fish and tattoos...scary I know. I have two children, four dogs, a rabbit, and too many fish to count. Oh ya, I have a Husband too. I guess I should have grouped him in with the pets since I feed him, clean up after him, and on occasion groom him. :) I am just getting into Tae Bo and lifting weights. I have been doing that for about two months now and so far I really enjoy it.

KevinM - I'm a bit of a Jekyll & Hyde type. Some days I'm confident, outgoing and a blast to be with, and other times I'm shy and introverted. I have no doubt this is mainly down to my hair. I try, but I don't think I will ever come to like it. It's a shame, but there ya go!

redheadedJB - Hi fellow redheads, I'm Jana and I just *love* being a redhead! I'm a full-time student and a part-time barista at a privately-owned drive-thru speciality coffee shop called Coffease. The few people who really know me would say I'm very strong-willed and opinionated. I can easily be stubborn, but remain open to new ideas. I'm very outgoing and sociable--my mom calls me her "social butterfly." I'm modestly witty. I'm sensitive and very forgiving. I've been told countless times how mature I am for my age in my ability to communicate with people. I'm too honest, sometimes for my own good. I tend to get maternal by nature. I've been told I have an infectious smile and positive outlook on life. I have a big heart. I strive to always be a good person. I attend George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, majoring in communications with a journalism concentration. Ideally I'd like to be a broadcast reporter, but any career in journalism would please me.

peridot - I've always had a shade of hair that I've never been able to describe - not fiery, vibrant red, but not dull brown either. It's somewhere in between. I don't have the fiesty attitude of my grandfather or my great grandmother who both have bright red hair, but occasionally I show the spunkiness and sadly, the temper as well. I'm fairly shy, but love to hang around people as well. Definitely excited to meet more redheads!

Emily_M - Let's see...where can I start... Well...I am origanally from a little town in Michigan. I lived there for 18 years with my mom, dad, and my brother John. After graduating high school I joined the Air Force. That was a great experience and I met a ton of cool people (including my husband). But after four years I decided recently to get out and start working on getting a college degree.

So that is where I am at right now. I am living with my husband Patrick in England and I just started college. My husband and I recently got our first dog. He is a yellow lab named Odin. He is a nut and we love him. Patrick and I don't want to have any kids. But we are looking forward to moving to Arizona when we head back to the States.

mom2redheads - Many of my family members and friends say I have the true personality of a redhead - fiery! I do have strong convictions and it is hard to sway me once I have made up my mind. Usually, I am pretty assertive and I will speak my mind, but I am also easy-going and I like to have fun. Fun for me includes spending time with my beautiful redheaded children and my husband(the only non-redhead in the house - including the dog!), and also spending time with my friends. I am fiercely loyal to my friends and family. I love to dance, I love people who make me laugh, and I love my job.

eribella03 - I am a 24 year old redhead who lives in Friendswood Texas. I tend to be pretty shy at first until I get to know people, and I often get the misconception that I'm stuck up. That's so not me! I hate people assuming that just because my name is Erin and I happen to be a redhead, that I'm Irish. Sorry, hate to tell you that its possible that I'm not! Anyways, some of my interests include watching soap operas (OLTL and AMC), ice skating, shopping, and hanging out with Friends.

Michelle - I am Michelle, I live in the Pacific Northwest. I am a stay at home mom of two sons. (one is a redhead!) I like music and movies. My family and I enjoy hiking, camping and boating. I used to live in San Francisco and have a very open mind.

I enjoy being a redhead even though I got very teased in my youth for it. Now people are just very envious. I am a auburn red. I don't know where it came from, my parents are blond and brunette. Humm? I do have brown eyes which is rare. So does my son who has red hair. It is very beautiful. I am hoping to meet other redheaded women in the area and maybe get together for some good northwest coffee!

Pre_Raph1 - I'm a 23 year old, curvy redheaded Celtic pagan in CA. I'm married to a wonderful Scottish husband who is occasionally put out by my "redheadedness" *laugh* Basically, yeah, I'm moody and quick to anger; but I do tend to "run hot" in other ways too. *wink* Oh find me 1 person who can keep up with me... *laugh* I'm also bisexual. I find beauty and love in both men and women.

Despite all the redheaded insanity, I am careful with my friends and am always there when people need me. Often helping out even when it is not in MY best interest. That's the priestess/midwife in me, I guess.

blondredhead - Transplanted New Yorker living in the South since 1983. Didn't appreciate being "different" with my hair color as a child but relish it now! I was adopted by Italian -Americans but my bloodline is Irish/English/German. I'd have to admit to possessing the stereotypical redheaded temper as well as being stubborn. My hair lost much of the red after giving birth to my son- which gave me the freedom to change color at will. My son's not a redhead but he definitely gets the highlights in the summertime.

KilliansRed - I was born blonde but became a redhead two years ago. Have gone from strawberry blonde to burgandy red. Always had a desire to be a redhead. My husband loves it! He thinks its sexy and magical. Married 24 years. Writer of poetry and short stories and former reporter. Wiccan and believer in magic of the soul and nature. Member of International Womens Writing Guild. Currently attending school for computerized accounting degree. 53 going on 23. Love animals and have a mixed breed named Ninja.

Charis - I'm an outgoing person and I love people. I love throwing theme parties and having people over to my house simply to chat and share. I want to build people up, not tear them down. I get much joy out of encouraging, intelligent discussions. Honesty, authenticity and loyalty are what I find most important in relationships. As such, I'm not afraid to take a stand on what I value and I'm a steadfast friend.

sweetgirl - I'm an impatient, hot-tempered, sweet-natured woman. I'm in love with a wonderful man who loves despite the fact of my hair color. I love my hair color but hate the freckles and fair skin that accompany it. I despise that people have pre-conceived notions of what a redhead should do or who they should be. I hope that my son grows up and marries a redhead because he'll always know what to expect--the unexpected.

SandyS - When I was a child my hair was bright strawberry blond, and I had a zillion freckles. I was teased a lot in elementary school and hated my red hair and freckles as a result. After high school I dyed it brown just for a change but only once. Not long after that I realized how few people had hair like mine and how fortunate I was to have it. I'm 58 now and my hair is still very bright with some gray that looks more blond.

Sally - I'm from a family that has redhair predominating on both sides to at least four generations, so it was no surprise that I turned out red too. I was bullied a lot as a child because of it, but I eventually got used to it and now wish I wasn't going grey quite so fast! I've just started to tint the grey to match the rest and its actually quite fun trying different shades or red (my photos are all pre-dye though). I've got an academic background in archaeology and Old English, and I research historic perfumes and cosmetics. I'm an educator for a museum by day, and I do a lot of living history activities, which is why most pictures of me are in historic outfits. I'm very creative and can turn my hand to most crafts. I do have a real weakness for food (hint- never marry a chef- its fatal for the waistline!), and I live in Wales with himself, the cat, a rat and a lot of bees. Wish I had time to garden too...

GothicRedHed - I am an 18 year old, Scorpio/Redhead. Any other questions? I am over opinionated, bitchy, and passionate. I like to bite, draw, listen to rock, travel, watch movies, and surround myself with dark people, and of course other redheads. I'm straight as an arrow, but am very in love with the female body. I am also into the dark/punk/goth look, I find it to be very attractive. Being able to step outside the box, and be yourself says a lot about a person, especially when that means dodging dirty looks every time you step out of your house. Unfortunately, not all of us are here to be dye our hair blonde and throw pom poms.

SirWolfy - I'm an Aries, a type A personality and a redhead as well, do we come anymore more stubborn, bullheaded and determined than that?! ;)

My friends tend to describe me as dedicated, loyal and a funny guy (at least when I'm around). At times I would like to say that I am your average everyday "joe" just trying to get ahead, but I know that isn't true. I'm a redhead and because of that, we all have a different perspective on life, love and relationships with those around us not so blessed with the hair and the temperment.

Roisin - I am in my fifties now and starting to enter a new phase of life. I raised my son, who is in college, but always in my heart and on my mind. I am trying to plan a new life with my fiance and hope to marry in the next few years. One of these days, I would like to have the time to write the series of novels for young readers that I have been thinking about forever.

BareBones - I'm half Danish and half Irish. Bullheaded with a temper. Feel sorry for the man in my life ;-) I am a credit card analyst, which is a fancy term for finding people who are stealing your money and idenity on the 'net. I love my job because I can help the innocent people and get to be mean to the people that deserve it.

I love to horseback ride, 4x4 rockcrawling (pirate4x4.com), draw, write and design websites. I love the stars and being outside. Which leads to sunburns and freckles...which I've just receantly found out can be a big turn on...dang it...I spent 10 years trying to get RID of them...NOW their in style? *grin*

progrmred - I'm the youngest of two red heads. My parents had good odds when it came to red heads. They were two for two. Which is pretty good since they both have dark hair. I believe I inherited my mother's side of the family sense of humor. I pretty much can find the humor in any situation and don't mind laughing at myself. I've really come to appreciate the uniqueness I have being a red head. I think like a lot of red heads I was made fun of growing up. Especially with all the freckles I have. But as I got older I loved the fact that I stood out from the rest. I wasn't like everyone else and that's what made me special.

laneyred - I am a 29 year old single woman living in Florida. I work in the IT field as a Business Analyst. Self-professed geek and proud of it! I love being a redhead and consider it my best trait. Although during a brief "finding myself" period after moving to California I decided to dye it brown. But it only lasted a few weeks and I haven't tried a dye again. I am a big fan of self-tanners since I would burst into flames if I dared try to lay out. I'm also a loud and proud liberal. Dubya's OUTTA HERE. (I really, really, really hope!!!)

Deblyn - I am a business woman and if I could run my home like I do my businesses it would be a piece of cake. I am happily married to a Canadian Army Sergeant and maintaining a long distance marriage is difficult, but well worth it. Each visit is like still being on our honeymoon.

I own two Inns and presently opening a Vintage clothing store, yet another passion of mine. I adore clothes...my husband calls my store an additional closet for Deblyn.

SeptGrl80 - Growing up I got teased about my red hair and I hated it. Now I love it and ignore all the JEALOUS people. I had gastric bypass surgery in Oct of 2003 and my self esteem is getting better and better. Though I'm not fond of the shade of red I was given I've found the right color for me and am sticking with it (Herbal Essences Radiant Ruby)I can't wait to meet some new friends and enjoy life to it's fullest.

Eyvind - Well, 75 words eh? That's harder than it sounds... I believe I have an above average interest in music, spend way to much on CD's and records. Usually I tend to like the more obscure forms of music, like extreme metal, dissonant classical music and noise. Oh, and I play the bass guitar as well. I am a huge fan of Futurama and the Simpsons. In my spare time (of which there is never enough), I try to find the time to practice some Kung Fu, play Squash and rehearse with my band.

Heather9409 - I am definately all girl, but I have the most fun "hangin'out with the boys". My attitude is just as firey as my hair! People tell me that I am intimidating when they first meet me (but I don't get it!) I LOVE being a red-head, and wouldn't have it any other way!

redheadgal - Here we go...I am a loving, compassionate, empathetic and just plain fun to be around person. I tend to be the comic relief in a group. I have never met a stranger and am not shy in the least. I am a new triathlete and loving that! I have the sweetest son imaginable...at least for a couple of more years, lol! He is the light of my life. I have recently decided it is time to live my dream and become a police officer. I hope to take the academy next year. :)

DonnaH - I am a pretty outgoing spirit who just loves to relax and have fun. I am a very passionate and affectionate person who sometimes tends to wear her heart on her sleeve. My family and friends are vital and important to me. I definitely lean towards the creative side of life as I am always looking for someway to express myself thru song or art.

RedGuru - I'm a peaceful, joyful, easy-going person. I once thought that redheads all have a fiery and sometimes violent temper. It's what many of us have been told (by non-redheads). For many years, I fought against this stereotype only to find that I became more angry as I tried to push those impulses away.

I now know that in order to be what we are meant to be, we have to stop resisting what we don't want to become. My natural state is calm and relaxed. My martial arts practice has intensified this feeling. When I received my black belt in Pa-Kua in May 2003, it was the second happiest day of my life (after my wedding day!) and the day of feeling the most accomplishment in life.

martinigirl5 - I am a good person and a great friend. I have a lot to offer and share with someone special, but only for the right person. I am not looking to rush into just any relationship. I am VERY picky and finicky. I'm a girlie-girl, but can hang with the guys. I don't sweat the small stuff. I love the Bahamas, pina coladas, the sound of the ocean and thunder & rain and watching lightning on the beach. I am passionate and want to devour that person that I am involved with.

Crimeinc - Hey I am 23 I love to surf hang out with my buddies get involed in anything fun i can get into. I like to ride moto-bikes even tho i can afford a super bike yet sigh. I listen to rock music and emo and stuff. I hate dumb people. but then again doesnt everyone. I work at a little shitty hole in the wall bar in the bay area cali. Its not much but it is a hell of a lot cooler than what i was doing. I have a degree in Mixology and I am in college to get a degree in something else. Havnt decided what my Major is going to be. yeah so hit me up sometime people.

gobadine - 5ft 10, medium build. Ginger hair. English. I have a very strange sense of humour, sometimes cuttingly sarcastic, dry, witty and if im in a good mood i plain daft. Its a very difficult to write 75 words about yourself, if you were to ask me directly I wouldnt shut up, but putting it down!! I would say im normal looking and need to exercise more than I currently do.

Kits4707 - I have been married twice, divorced once and widowed once. I am witty, fit, good looking, compassionate, loving, understanding, mostly patient, bright/intelligent, articulate, sexy, sexually adventurous, a very good listener, calm, generous, very partnership/relation ship oriented. I have two grown children who are central to my sense of purpose in this life. I am active and love riding my bike.

Globug - I'm a high spirited, warm, loving wife and grandmother. I love hosting my Fibromyalgia Message Board and helping others who are suffering from this invisible disease. I'm a Domestic Violence Victim's Advocate as well. I love life despite the pain that my illness has brought me, and firmly believe that if we all celebrate random acts of kindness for each other the world would be a better place. So PASS THE LOVE ON.

sarkasmo - I'm not much of a team player, and would usually rather stay home than go out to clubs and such. I'm married, but we don't plan to have any kids; we have a cat, instead. After we win the lottery, we want to move to Canada. I find that winning the lottery takes a lot of patience. My hobbies include knitting, watching forensic TV shows, working out/swimming (relatively new hobby), and loafing about on the internet.

pondscum - Hi there I am Andy 28 and live England . Current job is a vehicle electrcian working with the MOD . I am about 6ft1" tall quite slim . I am dodgy sense of humour usually sarcastic =D . Like to go out for a drink the go clubbing . Love to hear from anybody in UK.

XxBigRedxX - Hi im nikki and im probably the youngest member on this site...im 15. I really think that young redheads should be more enthusiastic about showing pride in their amazing hair instead of acting like its a curse or something. I got my hair straightened so im not as crazi looking now as in my wonderful pics....no comment. Im definetely a super crazi girl, an irish dancer as well...i make stupid movies with my friends similar to the late "jackass" show on mtv.....im lonely or someting so, like, im me...oh yea, i skateboard too.

prrrplegrrrl - 22-year-old Baltimoron, hopefully in DC this time next year (way cooler than here, and I can f$%& s#@! up from the inside) - chronologically Gen-Y, mentally Gen-X (supposedly those born b/t '61 and '81... close enough) - I like learning and reading and generally being a nerd, but I'm a big ol' slacker and don't happily do things I don't want to do - self-proclaimed feminazi, but I like girly things - emotionally Irish, genetically everything but - freckled, red-headed, tall, minimally pierced, yet to be tattooed, chapstick freak

hndsmredlb - Being male and a redhead was always a struggle for me growing up. Kids always made fun of me...now those same people want to date me or seem to have a facination with my hair color as if I were from another planet or something. It's gone from struggle to enjoyment as I look at all the other people in the world and know that they are just like everyone else. I'm a redhead and I'm different and I like it that way.

Reddy - I'm 19 yrs old and living on my own. I'm going to school and working at a bank as a teller. I'm engaged to wonderful guy who never knew he liked red-heads til he met me. We've created a happy little family with our two kitties and our new little puppy. This might sound odd but their names are Bailey, Stoli, and Morgan. Incase you didn't catch it, there all named after some sort of alcohol. We're not getting married until the year 2006 but trust me, I need that much time just to plan the wedding. We've been engaged for 9 months now and think that we've proved to our friends that I'm not pregnant and that we're actually getting married for love. At the bank I work with a girl who is also a redhead. Although we only have the redhead thing in common people still come up with questions for us when we work together. "Are you two sisters/cousins/related to one another?" Yep...we must be since we're both redheads... And then they might ask "Do you have to be a redhead to work here?" Yes you do...it's just that the other 20 people all wear wigs. Idiots. Anywho...that's all I really have to say about that.
