queenliani - Since the first time I encountered words I have known that I would write. And it is the one thing that I am very good at. Happily, I've been able to make a comfortable living as a writer--doing something I love very much. Unlike a lot of redheads, my brother for example, there was very little teasing while a child and on the rare instance when it happened I always just knew the person was a dolt. There has never been a day when I did not enjoy being red-haired. I am an introvert, but I'm not shy. I like traveling. I enjoy walking and biking. I love movies and music, detest television. I have opinions on just about everything but I'm not overly attached to my opinions. My favorite city is Chicago, a long way from my very rural Michigan home but I do try to get there at least once a year. My husband doesn't care for cities much so I usually go alone or take a friend. My personality is intense, but I wonder if it's just because being a redhead means that others gave me space to grow intense without attempting to curb me. It's one of the ways we redheads are the lucky one!
GinaD - There was a time when I wanted to dye my hair as a young girl, now I love it! I cannot see me in any other color. Being a redhead is who I am. I am unique and proud of it! I am creative, loving and peace seeking. Although, I can be impatient and have a fiery temper! Thank goodness, it takes quite a bit to get me to that point. I am passionate, love music and art. I am always looking for that next big thrill, never ready to become complacent or give-up. I want to experience life to the fullest. My 40th birhday was a little tough, it made me realize that I can't get away with being a kid anymore. Not that I acted like one, but always felt like one in my heart, still do. I have never quite felt like I fit in. But now, I'm comfortable in my own skin. I don't want to be like everyone, I just want to be me! Peace, Love and Light to all of you beautiful redheads!
SigKapMellie - I have a spirit of adventure that leads me all over the world. My love of travel has recently landed me in the east of France as an English teacher. I have also enjoyed prolonged stays in the Alps, central Mexico, and northern Germany.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Communication and International Business from Western Kentucky University. I plan to continue my studies in Communication to become a professor at the university level. I would also enjoy working in a multi-national corporation.
I speak English, of course, as well as French and American Sign Language (ASL) for the deaf and hard of hearing. I also have minimal comprehension and use of German and Spanish. I love meeting people from all over the world, whether back in the states or abroad.
Sarrah - First and for most, I'm a redhead. I'm a newly turned 22 year old that is a full-time student at Wright State University Lake Campus. Just starting my Junior year and I can't wait to be done. I have grown to appreciate my red hair and view it as great asset rather then dying it (like I did back in high school). Has anyone else had this problem? Have you tried to dye your red hair and it not being able to take color? If not, then I've got some strange ass hair. lol. Anyways - I'm just a 22 year old living in a small town and I just stumbled upon this site and joined... so hey.
firegypsy - I have been living in the Tampa Bay area for about 4 years now. I currently work as a RIS/PACS Coordinator at the local hospital. The funny thing is I hate hospitals. hmm :) I am a very spirited individual. I can be very opinionated and stubborn at times. Layed back and love to make people smile. I went from being a "bright" redhead when I was younger to a very dark auburn growing up. Everyone was convinced it was going to go brown. Then in highschool.....viola'. Currently it is the longest its been since I was 5 which is a nice change.
ZanyBPBitch - Well. I'm not
usually at a loss for words and when you get to know me, you'll
unfortunately understand that all too well...But I can say is that
when I saw my buddy Tiff's new email address with the domain
"realmofredheads," I immediately emailed her and asked if I could
join and be "CrazyBipolarBitch@realmofredheads.com" Alas, the
rules don't allow for a User Name that long, so I went with
ZanyBPBitch or TitsForTots (don't know which they're letting
through, so I'll advertise both--DO NOT ATTEMPT to imitate any
form of these names...chaos will ensue for those who do).
KalamityJayn - Inside, I am the nicest person you would ever meet. On the surface, I am one sarcastic bitch. I really get along with sarcastic people because they are the only ones that truly understand me and that's great. I am an archaeology major and I also love art such as drawing and photography. I love being outdoors, and I love adventure more than anything. My housemates know me as the one that gets them into bizarre and fun situations, and I take that title with pride!
Tabdecat76 - I would describe myself as an energetic, passionate and humorous soul. I've been known to spout words of wisdom (though I don't always follow my own advice....that's part of the fun of living) and hilarious stories. I'm at home anywhere from jumping out of a perfectly good airplane (everyone should try that at least ONCE in their lifetimes) to listening to live music in downtown Waikiki. I hope this finds everyone well and in good spirits.
aviatrix - I used to want to dye my hair when I was younger because of all the teasing, but now I wouldn't change my hair color for the world!! I don't have the quick temper, but when I do explode, look out! I'm also a writer. I've been writing off and on since I was a kid. I don't have anything published, but that will hopefully change soon. My hair is now down just a little past my back and I'm not planning on cutting it anytime soon. I get lots of comments and yes, I'm a natural redhead. :)
blue-sara - "She turned to me & whispered, don't you just love it when you get so excited you forget to breathe? & the thought of her smiling eyes still makes me laugh."
BridgetM - So happy to be a naturally curly, natural red head now! As a child growing up in San Francisco, I so envied all my lovely African American, Asian and Jewish girlfriends for their smooth, frekle-free skin and dark hair. Straight or kinky, braided, ponied or loose - that dark hair was so beautiful to me!
Took a long time to actually feel comfortable with my hair. I always felt it was special, but didn't think it - or I - was particularly beautiful. Once I was in the working world, I darkened it to make it look more serious, sophisticated, enigmatic. Now I just let it be what it is, and I get so many compliments.
KellyRenee - I've lived in San Diego, CA my whole life, but I spent one year studying in Germany August 2003-2004. It was the best time ever! I'm still in college, majoring in Communication and minoring in German and Ethnic Studies. I'm thinking about going to grad school for Library Science to be a librarian. Lately I've been thinking that I'm young and want to have fun for a bit after finishing college and before grad school.
Red_Jezebel - have often thought that I am as far removed from the mythical firey redhead as one could possibly get in terms of personality. One might think being an Aries with red hair would be a scorching combination... but alas, for me, it's not.
For example: I spend my time day dreaming, often at the expense of far more important things! Sometimes I wish I could spend all my time in those moments before sleep when there is only my imagination.
CeilidhGirl - My name is Ceilidh [pronounced kay-lee] and it means "a visit" in Scotch Gaelic and also refers to a party. I am an American with Scottish ancestry, and I'm very interested in ancient history and my geneology. I used to do Highland dancing years ago and hope to do it again someday. I'm a Celtic Reconstructionist [which is a form of paganism, but NOT a form of wicca]. I tend to be more conservative with my political views, but I think a lot of issues out there just don't belong in politics. I'm definately a Pisces and an INFP [Introverted iNtuitive Feeling Perceiving]. If you look either of those up, they pretty much explain my personality. I'm very creative and love making all kings of things. I'm a classical artist; I don't care for modern stuff that looks like my cat threw up on a canvas. I'd like to try any number of different occupations, but unfortunately have yet to settle on any. I love learning and I have way too many goals in life to even begin to list them here. My mother, aunt, and grandmother have/had red hair, but I'm the only redhead in my generation. My father's dad had red hair as well. I LOVE BEING A REDHEAD... it's not just a hair color, it's a LIFESTYLE!
Celtic-Lass - I like to notice what other people don't see. I live as a complete redhead should. Not just with the bright color that graces my head, but also with the incredible love of life that redheads are known to have, that little spark that makes it hard not to laugh at a good joke. Of course I have my bad days like anyone else. I am spontaneous, quick witted, opinionated, adventurous, wild & crazy. I tend to be a bit melancholic, specially when it rains. I've always been proud to be a redhead, although I only know 1 other. When I was a baby my hair was bright red, though as I've grown it's changed, depending on the season it can be either Cinnamon Red in winter or a bright Copper/Ginger in summer.
queenmarsh - My sister in law used to say that when I walked in the party started. I flirt shamelessly...why not? It's only for funsies and guys love redheads... especially ones with outgoing personalities. My motto is 'One Tequila, Two Tequila, here-let me help you up off the floor while I have another tequila' :) My favorite shirts say 'Body piercing by Ruger' and 'It aint easy being the queen'. I'm caring and compassionate, but I don't take no crap...I can scrap with the best of them, and am a bit notorious for my wit and penchant for getting kicked out of strip clubs. I'm trying real hard to settle down in my 'old age', but I still cut loose once in a while. I've got a lifetime of memories built up in my short 36 years...it's been a wild ride and I have loved every minute of it.
prettynred68 - Redhead and pretty in my momma's eyes. I was born in 1968. This is how I came up with my user name. I have 2 beautiful daughters and they are not REDHEAD. My current husband is also a redhead. We met online in a web community for redheads. We were honestly not looking at the time. We became friends then the rest is history. He is the love of my life.
TheCoppertop - I was raised in Philadelphia.. have had red hair since the day I was born and the freckles soon followed. My heritage is 100% Irish and I'm proud to be an Irish redhead, the only one in my family. I married my high school sweetheart at 19 and had a baby, my husband is a chef. We live on a small farm near Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I have mostly been a stay home mom for 8 years but recently began nursing school to get my RN degree. I hope someday to become a dermatology nurse practitioner.
crystal_lou - Okay let's state the obvious; I'm a natural born redhead. I have the pale skin that goes with it but and that's about it; believe it or not but I have few freckles and I am very even tempered and very patient. Only a few things really irk me and that would be liars (especially if they lie to me), people who drive too slowly(I get really bad road rage...lol), and people who chew with their mouth open(it's just disgusting).
I am from a large family of redheads, my mother, my grandmother, my uncle, and even a few aunts of mine are red headed. So, to me being a redhead in my family is nothing really special, but when it comes to the overall population...well usually I am the only redhead around. And I absolutely can not stand it when someone says "oh, doesn't she have the prettiest red hair!" I mean even today strangers will come up to me and compliment me on my hair. It's not that I don't love the attention, but goodness sakes after hearing it all your life it gets a bit exhausting.
LilRedMischf - Hello fellow redheads! Let's see,I am 5'4,I have green eyes of course the red hair, I am very outgoing, opinionated, stubborn, eccentric, never boring, smart, and funny. I often have a very sarcastic side to me. I am fun to be around and a comic relief in most situations. I like to make people happy, smile. And like most all redheads, I have a fiery temper! I am a huge animal lover, I am the type who can never turn a stray away. I am a very real person, I detest fakeness, and I have a high intolerance for stupidity and ignorance. and yes I am a natural redhead. Like most I did not enjoy my hair color as a child, but as an adult I have grown to love my hair and my individuality. My friends are very important to me, I have had the same best friend for 17 years now. I am very social, a big people person, but at the same time I value my alone time. I am never bored, I feel if you are an intellectual this is hard to do. I love to talk and express myself in many forms, communication is very important to me. So there are many things about me...glad to be surrounded by so many of my own.
Smoushi - If someone have to describe myself, it would be all about contrasts. I'm a very calm person, but I also got the spicy side every redhead have... Anyways, a woman in engineering has to make her place, and that's what I am doing for sure! As a Scorpio, I'm passionate and I care a lot about my relatives and friends. I don't know why, but people notice me in a crowd... I'm not sure if I always enjoy it. Anyways, it give opportunities to meet new people! ;o)
Evan4883 - My name is Evan I have lived mostly in small towns my whole life. I went to Brewer High School where I ran track and cross-country. I still run but not competitively. I work at a flouro-chemical plant in Decatur AL. I was going to college for a business adminstration degree. However, I think I will be changing it shortly to something that I would enjoy doing. Found this site by accident I'm just looking to make some new friends to hangout with or just talk to online.
Christi - Self descriptions stink... I never know what to say :-) I am a goofy gal who loves to laugh and stir up some fun. I am into drama ~ my husband says i am a Drama Queen... (but somehow i dont think that is always a compliment) hee hee... Anyway, I currently am blessed to be home with my three kids. My oldest just started kindergarden (a fellow redhead) and my middle daughter is in preschool, so they keep me hopping with pick-ups and drop-offs, school functions and fieldtrips. My son, the youngest (and also a redhead) is a total goof and fills my days with much laughter and joy.
CrimsonEmber - As a child I loved my hair, bright, shiny, smooth, copperey silk, such as it was...till I was ten, then it turned curly and frizzy and I hated it. I tried to hide it under scarves and hats. Died it brown, bleached it blonde. I've only recently become comfortable with my so-very-red hair. And to be absolutely honest, I'm still not so much 'comfortable' with it as I am accepting of it. I think rather that I've become comfortable with being different, unique, set apart from the rest, and I owe that to my unusualy bright hair and pale skin. Even after 28 years I'm still dumbfounded at being stopped in the middle of a public arena to be complimented by complete strangers for a characteristic I've never much appreciated. I do revel in being diferent however, and my lazy side very much appreciates not having to work for it!
Kimberly - I am a redhead from Raleigh,NC. I work in the entertainment industry and I totally enjoy it, I am 5ft.9" 150 lbs. Finally found this website that actually gives us natural redheads some justice. I use to hate being a redhead when I was small but now I am loving every minute of it. The guys just think that I am so unique and they absolutely adore the milky white skin and long curly red hair! Love the attention now that is for sure. REDHEADS RULE!!
Romeedee - "Where am I?" "In the Village." "What do you want?" "Information." "Whose side are you on?" "That would be telling.... We want information. Information. INFORMATION." "You won't get it." "By hook or by crook, we will." "Who are you?" "The new Number 2." "Who is Number 1?" "You are Number 6." "I am not a number Ö I am a free man!"
AriaBella - Multifaceted. I think that's my personality wrapped up in one word. Then again, "one word" and "multifaceted" is a contradiction in terms when it comes to content. And I guess that's me, too. My nature leans toward the artistic; yet I have a strong attraction to the science of things... Like the belief that there's absolute symmetry in chaos. And that harmony can be heard in the most dissonant of tones... and that if you listen - really listen, everything naturally resolves to accord.
SunKissed - When I'm happy I smile. I'm amused by child's play, I tended to be shy. I love red wine and mimosas. I'm not the best speller. I'd do anything for my friends; I'll re-write something 10 times until it perfect, I'm happiest when working. I want to be my own boss, and plan to be genuinely successful. I get disappointed easily. I like to learn about the world. I love knick-knacks (although I know they're a waste of money). I'm attracted to beautiful things and antiques. I like toast and hot chocolate , Being out doors make me feel free, and I tend to rebel against restrictions. I don't like to wear clothes indoors, but I love to buy them. I love to sing when I blow dry my hair, and I like cool showers. I do things without any special reason accept willfulness.
lilred71 - I am a Yankee living in the south, former military and married to a military man! College educated and have 2 kids. I like to listen to country music and go out on the town with my friends. I lived in Germany for 6 years and loved it. I am an easy going fun loving person, however, if you cross me...but i guess that goes with being a red head. On top of that, I am a taurus. I have been told that i am stubborn, hmm, imagine that! What i hate the most about being a red head are the questions!! "Are you a real redhead?", like this color could come out of a bottle! There are other questions that are asked, but i will keep this on a family level!
JennyLee - I'm a stereo-typical German-Irish red-head...quick to make up my mind and slow to change it. Some of my "worst traits" are: an inability to deal with slow people, easily irritable, and I'm annoying when I am in physical discomfort. My "best traits", besides my hair, are my intelligence, my passion, and my ability to communicate with almost anyone. I love to read, my favorites are historical romances, dorky I know, but who really cares? I also LOVE languages. So far I'm only really proficient in French but German and Russian are catching up. I'm going this site so I can learn more about dressing for my hair color and skin type...any tips?
alanp72 - Hi. I like the idea of this site as a place for redheads to share experiences. I'm 6ft 1. (mustn't forget the 1!) :-)About 13 1/2 stone and 32 years old. Probably have a personality full of contradictions ie i can be friendly or unfriendly depending on the person. I can be vibrant or lazy depending on my mood. But overall i think im a happy, fun person who other people seem to enjoy being around. Dont go in for all these redhead stereotypes as ive met some pretty laid back reds in my time and also met some very feiry, aggressive people with dark hair. Hitler anyone? Stalin? Saddam Hussain doesnt look like no redhead to me! Anyway, i live in Scotland in the UK and am becoming increasingly more disillusioned with the abuse that redheads receive not just from people in this country but also from the media who seem to have a licence to dish out hatred towards redheads whenever they feel like it. I'm not kidding either although i understand that most American members of this site will find this hard to believe. I spoke online the other week to a red haired woman in Texas who said that she would love to come to Scotland and visit as she has some ancestry from these parts. My advice? Are you kidding me? Scotland or the UK as a whole is no place for people with red hair. Not unless you enjoy being insulted in the streets by total strangers or ridiculed and abused on national television or radio or in the national media, magazines, etc. Or even worse being stabbed in the back and beaten by a group of men because you happen to have red hair like one unfortunate sole recently experienced in England. Masochists sign up here!
Saritoga - Hmmm. I'm a graduate student studying Neurosciences at Washington University. I live with my husband, Chris, and our three dogs - Muzzy (angel), Whiskey (blinddog), and Nakita (devil). Chris and I met when we were still in middle school, grew up together, and have been dating since high school. He's a geek, and he rocks my world. I spend 90% of my waking hours running experiments and ananlyzing data - the rest is spent reading, painting, and watching smut on television. I am also an avid hiker and gardener. Have been a red red redhead all my life (physically and attitudinally). My entire family on my mom's side is red - as well as half my father's side - so I never had a chance. Anyone know a cure for freckles? See more of our family and friends' pics at www.iglubrious.com.
Redlioness77 - I am a wild redhead who loves the outdoors. I love to go new places I've never been before. I have a thirst for knowledge and love learning new things.I am highly energetic to the point that it sometimes makes people sick! I drive a bright red mustang and I love to go on drives and listen to music. I love everything from bagpipes to punk rock.I live in California and I love the sunshine(with my sunscreen on of course)! I love meeting new cool people.
Lightning362 - I used to be a fiery red-head but the grays have mellowed me to an Auburn. I am 5'9, 170 LBS. I have many interests. Tinkering with my old Harley and BMW motorcyles for one.
Teacherssoul - I am a mom of 2 working on her elem/ed degree with a concentration in spanish. I lived in Puerto Rico for 10 years. I am interested in the metaphysical, and the healing arts and have been on an ecletic path for several years now.I have worked with my past lives, I am learning to ork with energy fields and the esoteric bodies. Love to spend time chatting and playing SIMS2 along with my kids and their friends.
FeistyFires - Ok, here goes...Obviously I'm a redhead! I wouldn't be here if I wasn't! And in some ways, I'm your typical redhead... pale skin, tons of freckles and we can't forget that hot temper! When I was younger, I HATED my red hair! I was different than everyone else, people stared at me and always commented on my hair. And now... I LOVE my red hair for the exact same reasons! It took me awhile to realize that having red hair is special and how lucky I am to be born a redhead! So when I stumbled across this site, I was so excited! There was no way I wasn't going to join a site that is dedicated to redheads like myself! Plus, it'll be nice to hear stories and get tips from fellow redheads!
redmt - I'm the redheaded offspring of two non-redheaded parents whose parents were also non- redheads. I'm the youngest of six children (half of which are redheaded). It is so amazing how genetics work. Being a redhead, I taken my share of torment (I sure everyone on this site is sick of the infamous carrot top label.). However I feel it was that adversity that made me so successful in my life. It made me a leader, not a lemming. Unlike other people, I stick out in a crowd. I'd never make a good thief; I'd be picked out of a line up right away. I will always look the way I do because I will always be a redhead. That is just fine with me. Being different, I could never be normal; just myself. I think it funny when I see people dye their hair; especially when they dye it red (Ask a redhead; trust me it just doesn't look real.). So to all those redheads out there, be proud.
evangelica - Something about me, hmmm. Well I am about 5`4, with bright red hair (of course). :) I have been married for almost a year (June) to a wonderful man (Love you Justin), and I am loving it. :) I work for a property management company (we manage homeowners associations) and I have been in the business for over 2 years. I hope to eventually get into Nursing, but until the money for that comes along I will probably stay in the field I am in. Oh yeah I have one brother and one sister (sister is brunette and my brother blond, weird huh). My mom has auburn hair so I guess I get my color of hair from her.
DreaminBoi - Well... Livin in Bama... got a good job, farm, border collies... yep, It sure is quiet down here... :)
FairyPix - I'm a 20 year old college student, attending Michigan State University and pursuing a career in nursing. This pays slightly less than my real job: a secretary for the State of Michigan. I like to think I'm funny and exciting, but the truth is I just don't have time to be. I work part time, go to school full time, and am trying (unsuccessfully thus far) to get into MSU's nursing program. I'm a webmistress of sort; it's my silent (well, not really so silent) talent. I like to live life vicariously through studying and following the trails of celebrities (but I haven't advanced to stalking or anything equally scary and illegal). I'm dating my high school sweetheart, enjoy walking in the rain, and have been characterized by a fiery, unpredicatable temper, often attributed to the hair. I'm sure you all understand.
tdriscoll - I am a redhead of primarily irish descent. I have ancestors on both sides of the family from County Cork, Ireland, which is about all we know. I came upon this site as I am curious about the history of redheads. I have grown to appreciate my hair with age as it caused me a lot of grief as a child which I have heard is a common redhead experience.
Boro_Lass - Vascillate between being quiet and not saying much to pontificating ad nauseum about my beliefs, thoughts and ideas. Tend to be a wise-ass, sardonic, and brutally honest. I do not suffer fools nor do I play office politics well......if I like you or dislike you.....you'll know. All that said I'm rather easy-going on the surface and mind is racing a mile a minute. As one of my friends once said about me: "She's an enigma and a study in contradictions."
juleegrl - After thirty years of being a redhead, I have recently grasped how unique and special that I am. While growing up, I wanted to be like everyone else. I wanted to be able to tan, to be able to change the color of my hair, I hated my freckles...I just wanted to be "normal". Now I realize how special that I am and would not change these special qualities for anything. Being normal is boring, and I am far from boring. In the past, I would never let anyone see me without makeup. I HAD to have foundation to camouflage my freckles, mascara and eye brow color to hide my light eyelashes and brows. Today, I can proudly walk in a crowd knowing that I am beautiful. If I had only felt this way when I was growing up. But now I do, and I am proud to be a redhead.
Gaz - Hi my fellow redheads. What a cool site this is. When I was young a used to hate my hair. But now I love it! I used to get bullied all the time but that soon stoped when I grew over 6". I have also found that due to years of taugnts us redheads tend to have a good sense of hummor and razor sharp wit. (well sort of).
Kathryne - Heh... where to begin? Well first off, I'm a red-head. But that a given wasn't it? How about somethin' a little more interesting. If I could describe myself, I would say I was a very Voluptous and Curvacious woman. I have pleasent smile that can open up to anyone. At least if they don't betray my trust of course... that smile can as easily turn into a sharp frown... or even Grin as I contemplate Vengence in the most horrible way possible. Aaa, but I'm not that terrible. Very few people get on that MUCH of my bad side.
isrfolkdncer - I was born with natural red hair which became auborn (reddish/brown) later as my hair grew in and it lasted for about 25 yrs. Then it turned dark brown and now it's dyed to a rich red which suits me well. But I can for sure relate and share my redhead exps. with all the other redheads here. Since I was born with it and had the name calling too. The worst of the names I was called was Red head freckled fried freak. Other names I was called were Pippy and Wendy's and later I was told I looked like Molly ringwald. I had freckles since I was 5. The name calling didn't bother me that much, because I always liked my hair color and I recieved more compliments than insults. Both of my great grandmothers had red hair and one of my great Aunts as well.
ballofire123 - When I was born I had a thick full head of copper red hair and sky blue eyes. I was born to a toehead blonde father and an auburn milky skinned mother of German/English descent. I was teased from the time I can remember and still am at the ripe ole age of 52. One good thing is that I could never be a sun worshiper and my skin has stayed young looking. I have what was told to me "true pink skin". I used to hate being so different when I was growing up but now I find that being unique can work.. lol. I am so glad I found your site as there aren't too many support/fun groups for true redheads. one thing that always bothered me is that I was asked 100s of times since I was in puberty.... "are you red all over" how embarrassing is that? Does that happen to brunettes?
Red_Storm - I've been a tall redhead all my life, usually the only one in my classes. At first I longed for blond hair, blue eyes, a petite build, and a nice tan. Now I'm thankful the wish was never answered. Being a redhead sets you apart from everyone else. You are your own breed: mysterious, fiery, passionate, tempermental, brassy, wild, fearless, and capable of getting away with anything because that's what people expect from a redhead.
red33 - I am a single mom of two so my kids come first. I love to read, I'm a movie junkie and I love that 70's show and anything from the 70's. I tend to be a smart alec and can also be goofy. I also like to write poetry if and when the mood strikes however my poems are on the dark side. I am a diet coke and chocolate addict.
red_sailor - So I like to havce fun just like everyone else. I hate typing these things because I never do a decent job describing myself I suppose. Im really like music, listening, not playing. I have about as much rythym as a potato, so Ill tap my foot, and sing under my breath, and thats it! Im a science dork underneath it all, love biology, and like to keep that quiet! I make people laugh, and I like to laugh. My laugh Im told is addictive, my smile the same.
LJDT3dance - I'm a natural redhead who believes redheads, natural ones at least, all really do have a common bond. I formed this opinion after I read the Anne of Green Gables books where I came to the conclusion that though I don't want to be known as a firey temper I wouldn't mind people noticing other typically redheaded traits, like sensitivity. My mother and daughter are also redheads, though my father and husband are not. I'm a 20 year old woman who is proudly married with a baby. I got married first and pregnant nearly a year later, so don't bother with the thoughts on how supid I was to get pregnant and have to get married. I'm Roman Catholic and proud of it, and I generally agree with my faith, can't think of any specific instance that I don't agree with. I'm a student at Boise State University where I'm studying to be a high school math teacher. I cannot spell, but I can do math. I was born in Seattle, Washington. I grew up in Idaho. The only other place I've lived is Las Vegas, Nevada, which I loved. I even got married there. I eloped, but planned to do that, since my church wouln't marry me at 18. I do plan to someday have a Catholic Wedding. I think that I've bored you long enough, so if I haven't, the website I put on there leads to my online diary, come visit, leave a note, I except notes from nonmembers!
sahngrila - I am a confident and strong willed but also a caring and sensitive soul with deeply held ethics, beliefs and creativity. I see life a commitment to learning, sharing and trusting. I am silly and playful but also serious, straight-forward and pull no punches. I am gentle and love gentle touches and passionate and love strong embrces. (I studied 19thC literature out of my love for it and think I may have forever damaged myself in the process). Always kind to strangers even though I get pissed that no one says thank you anymore when you hold the door. I always knew, as a redhead, that my world was more colorful than blondes or brunettes.
really_red - I was born into a family of non-redheads. My dad is brown/brown, mom brown/green, sister brown/green and other sister brown/brown. I've heard imaginative stories as I grew up as to where my red hair came from; milk man, I was born during a heat wave in Chicago Illinois and the air conditioner at the hospital was broken, switched at birth...etc. I learned at a VERY young age to state, "it comes from my mother's side of the family". I didn't know if it was true or not but at 4 you just want people to stop touching your hair! As it turns out there is red in the family (obviously, it's genetics not magic), my grandfather had a red beard and my father, who was adopted, had a grandmother with red hair. I've heard it all, carrot top, the red head is dead etc. I am special, not just because of my hair, but it's helped.
J-Red - Anyone have any SPF 75??? Ok, so I got the red hair and fair skin, but it hasn't stopped me as I love the outdoors and staying active. I definitely have the Competitive Redhead Gene and live by the rule that 2nd Place is the first loser!! I've been in Arizona for the past 17yrs and have enjoyed every min. of it. I've been with a Network Consulting Firm in Tempe for the past 3yrs (and yes I've been called a computer nerd a few times), but I enjoy getting out and enjoying life to the fullest outside of work (work hard, play hard!!!).
Crystal - All my life I've been an exceptional redhead, sure, I have some of the quirks and whatnot (short temper, smartass attitude, fun but real, etc...). However, I've never met many others like myself. I've grown up around the world, and as a child in turkey they either thought of me as evil or good luck. Then those that weren't superstitous thought it was fake. It's just finally great to see a spot where redheads can interact and give each other advice. It is after all...a readhead thing.
jhaub - Scotch/Welsh heritage, mother same color hair. Born Omaha NE moved to Phoenix in l960. Work in the financial (stock market) industry as a sales assistant. I am 5'5" approx 136 lbs. Enjoy gardening going to plays and art exhibits.
