The Member Profiles.

auburn - where to begin..... born in Alaska ... lived all around the center part of the USA..I have worked in commercial art studied mechanical drafting and now I am in nursing..have traveled some and one day would like to see Scotland or Ireland.

Mella - Like most redheads, I am pretty fiesty about certain things. I am curious to see how many other redheads with brown eyes there are...it seems like nearly all the other redheads I know have either blue or green eyes.

I am the only redhead in my family - no cousins, siblings, parents, or children with redhair. I live in an area where there seem to be more redheads than in other areas. When I travel, I really feel like I stand out! While traveling I get hit on by men (I am a married woman) mostly because of my hair.

Red3 - Humm Let's see well just left Linn Benton Community College in Albany, Or. with GS and AAS Degree's plus a 1yr. Cert. of Completion...Materials and Metallurgy with Non Destructive Testing and Evaluation...I'm 55 yrs young going on 12 or 35 depending on who you talk to. And looking to eventually work in a Lab as a Metallographer... if I'm lucky... Write Love Poems, Day Dream, some art work, I'm spontaneous, but not combustible, don't drink yet have been known to have a drink with a friend or companion... My last gurl friend was a Psychologist and is a fabulous wooman LOL. My men friends tend to be mostly, but not all guys name Bill or Billy. My brother Billy, Billy Bartlett, Billy Espinosa, Bill McJunkin, and Bill Acosta LOL. I guess I just gotta thang fer Bills. I'm living with a friend of 30yrs who is slowly dying of Inclusive Poly Myosidus from of all things a measles booster shot 12 yrs ago as his care giver.

Jaci - I am a recent (Dec. 16) of college and currently pursuing other means of income than what I'm at right now (2nd assistant manager at McDonald's). My major, photography, doesn't exactly lend itself well to getting a job in my town, however, I am currently working at finding some Suicide Girls to photograph. My recent series "Glorifying the American Girl" can be viewed at my website.

Sharphair - I have starting recording (audio) scenes, for comic film idea I had earlier this year and I have no idea how to get anyone to listen to it...lol

I have the habit of being open and honest, even upon first contact. I don't play any games, and I think that one cannot discover the true person inside by just the first impressions alone. It may take a many occaisions for the other person to feel comfortable enough to come out of their shell.

Cassie - I'm a tall computer dork, but I hope I don't look like one. Although I'm getting a bit burned out working with computers and keep pondering going to Medical School and have since college. Outside of work I'm fairly shy, but I don't put up with any crap while I'm at work. ;) I'm exceedingly pale with freckles, although I get red in the face fairly easily...and I am a natural redhead and have never messed with my hair colour.

Wylde_Cat - I used to be quite bitchy but have mellowed out with age (haha) and since having children. I had to learn all about patience once the kiddos came around. I love playing games (console, computer, board) with my hubby or anyone that'll sit down and enjoy a good game. I used to be a computer dork but quit that incredibly boring job when I became a mommy. I am currently having a hard time describing myself because my son is only 3 months old and I am not getting any sleep. So I can't even remember my life before he came along and life right now is still in that sucky newborn phase. Some of my hobbies are: cooking, sewing, game playing, adventure gaming, adventure golf, skiing (not so great at it, but I try) and that's all I can think of right now. As a child I was in dance (what little girl isn't enrolled in dance) and martial arts (which I love and plan to get back into with my family once they are old enough.) Well, that's all I can think of right now. Need a nap. :P

Thundarr1973 - I am here to meet fellow redheads. I am current in the Army. I am 6'1, 250LB(Fit), Red hair, and Blue eyes. I have degree in achaeology and working on my Masters. Places I have lived are Iceland, Bermuda, Italy, New York, North Carolina, Virginia, and Florida. Just spent a year in Iraq.

pumpkin - Hi- I am a active 45 year old woman. I have been married for 20 years and have two sons age 13 and 15. I love to ski, cycle and lift weights. I competed in my first bodybuilding competition at 40! I love being a redhead. Unfortunatley, as I age my red hair is fading fast. Most people don't recognize me as a redhead. I recently attended my 20th college reunion. My college roomate didn't recognize me... she was looking for a woman with beautiful long red hair. I am missing my redhair. The one thing I said I would never do was dye my hair.... now I am not so sure. I would love to talk with other middle-aged redheads about my dilemma.

marranda - I'm vertically challeged, yet horontally endowed. A nice way of saying short... and... erm.... curvaceous? My most distinguishable feature is (of course!) my waist-length red curls. I am bright (and, unfortunately, I know it!), creative, always daydreaming, an amatuer violinist, a strong believer in organized chaos, a Diet Pepsi Addict, dyslexic, nocturnal, radically democrat, slightly pyromanic, a strong singer, and little bit clumsy. Not to mention a romantic at heart, optimistic-- but not naively so, and incredibly shy!

milisaingeal - I am unique, that's all there is to it. I was born and raised in Germany, and that is still where I consider home and frequently visit during my vacations from school. I love musical theater, fine arts, math, and anything related to Germany (yes, I am fluent in the language). My goals in life are to successfully graduate from University of Northern Colorado with a double major in the Fine Arts and German Language/Literature, and hopefully be lucky enough to receive a job in Europe. I also hope to find that soul mate of a man to sweep me off my feet and put up with my many quirks, and to raise a family with. As for quick details, I am 5'8", slender, long red curly hair, love the outdoors, and love to hang out with my friends.

Lunawitch - A free spirited - hippie hearted artist ... with an overflowing amount of creativity. Music and art are most important to me - after friends, family and pets of course... I am basically the full embodiement of a leo - I am strong, loyal, courageous, lively, adventurous, honest and trustworthy, openminded yet very opinionated and curious. I love animals and meeting new-interesting people and I am always looking to increase my knowledge by absorbing as much information as possible ...

Lelagirl - I am a writer, reader and seller of the written word (I work in a bookstore and love it!) I love to learn about new people, their beliefs and what turns them on. As for my Redheaded-ness, I come from a very long line of Aquarian female redheads that skips every other generation. My pale skin, freckles and hair color do not come from the typical Irish decent; however, from Czech and Bulgarian great-grandmothers.

ginga_girl24 - I am a fun-loving, party girl living it up in the "big" city. I have an extreme passion for cooking & traveling. I love spending time with my family & close friends.

Sharnanagans - I am and admin assistant in walnut creek. I just turned 31. I live with my pet parrot who might as well be a child...its spoiled like one. I have been told i am quite funny and i have to agree with those people. The ones who dont think i am funny...i dont agree with them.

Miss_RedHead - I love to laugh...I strive on being happy. I know just about everything...so dont argue! I am more than willing to admit I was wrong. Contradicting, i know. I love to travel, meet new people, eat, shop, to have fun doing anything, jeans, warm weather, laying on the beach with lots of sunscreen, NFL, people watching, being with my family especially my sister, making money, sleeping, new shoes....I will stop there because I can go on for days. I am not going to tell you what I dont like because that's not important and there are only a few.

Realdeal - I am just finally loving life, and trying to live every day to the fullest. I am one of the most real, sincere and honest people you'll ever meet, and why not right? I put myself through the ringer in my earlier rebel days and survived to become successful on my own.

Kinger - I'm a final-year Journalism university student in my early twenties, and I'm from the 'sunny' South Coast of England. I was teased for having red hair throughout my youth and teens and decided to dye it when I started university to make a fresh start so that I wasn't identified solely as 'that red-headed girl' - big mistake! It wasn't until I dyed my hair that everyone I knew proclaimed how beautiful my natural hair colour was and that I should let the dye grow out! So, I did, and am now in a happy relationship with my boyfriend of three-years who was first attracted to me for my red mane!

RedGrey - I'm a 34 year old redhead in SFO. I'm basically a geek - work with computers, love gadgets, watch SciFi, etc. But I also love skiing, hiking, rock climbing, and my cats. I have a number of tattoos, and planning to get more. I love how the ink shows up on my pale white skin! ;-)

S67 - Interesting, spiritual, thought provoking, grounded, more than the usual!

sanne - I'm not quite sure whether I could be called a typical redhead (whatever "typical" means). I have always been aware of my hair and of being different which is why, as a child, I would have given my soul for dark brown hair. Fortunately, there was no fairy around doing as I wished... Today, I love my hair and since I have stopped trying to get a tan in summer, my skin feels better. Still, I have to admit that I find it hard at times when people tell you what characteristics you obviously should have, especially men. But, maybe they are just right?

arissamay - Born in Minneapolis, MN, raised in Idaho, I just graduated from the University of Idaho with a B.S. in Music and a German minor. Hopefully in the near future I will be doing Teach for America, and then going to law school. I've been married since May of '05 to my high school sweetheart (and neighbor); ridiculous as that sounds, it's true. I love to travel, and hope to reach every country in the world by the time my life expires.

redhead_1978 - I am a single mother of an awesome kid. I definitely have the typical characteristics that goes along with being a redhead (freckles, milky skin, and fiery temper). I am in a relationship with a wonderful man who worships the quicksand I walk on ;) So, in other words, I'M NOT LOOKING!!! I like my job and I love my life. Ruadh gu brath! (Redheads forever!!)

layla - i have always been proud to be a redhead. my boyfriend is also a redhead. it is a beautiful thing.

njred - Regular guy living here in Jersey. Used to hate my hair, but now kinda think it's cool, pretty typical I guess. Successful and work hard but also love to travel, have fun, meet interesting people.

amy1red - I am a stay-at-home mother of three children, which occupies most of my time. I am married to the most wonderful man, who worships my red-headedness. I admit, I have somewhat of a temper, although I'm not sure if it's because of the red hair or not. I am for the most part a pretty easy-going person, and I try to get along with everyone. It is in my nature to be helpful and understanding of other people, possibly because I am a Pisces.

Flightbabe - I am a 25 year old flight attendant. Also the only redhead in my immediate family. My grandfather was the only other person with red hair. I am a very laid back person, easy to talk to, and I enjoy many activites; Dancing, reading, movies, concerts, and having a few beers with my friends. I also like to travel (other than for my job) I have seen many places and would love to tell you about them.

GingerGreen - I call myself a curious character. I want to try everything and I love meeting new people. I'm a creative writer, musician, gardener, mom and I read lots of murder mysteries. I love to ski and ride horses, too. Even though I'm 40, I still occasionally get carded! I always laugh when I do. I'm not sure if I get carded because I look young or because I act so ...young. I have no intention of ever acting old and I want life to be a constant adventure. Having red hair really suits my personality. At times I've lightened my hair but as all redheads know, no matter what shade you put in, it's just another shade of red. I really enjoy reading about other redheads and their life adventures.

Strawberry13 - Hi! I came across this site and thought it would be interesting to join. I am in my 20's and I live in New York State in a city with my awesome boyfriend and puppy in an amazing apartment. I feel like every time I see someone else with red hair, even if I don't know them, that we have some kind of common, unspoken "bond" that only us "copper tops" can share (does anyone else feel the same?!) It's just that there are so few of us that it's hard not to feel a connection!

fiestasunset - I am currently a full time student. I am working towards a double major in Criminal Justice and Sociology. I do not have the typical "fiery" temper that is associated with reheads. I am a very calm and even-tempered person. I am very liberal, rather a rare find here in the deep south. I am also non-religious (another rare find). I am extremely tolerant and consider myself to be a Humanist. I have been happily married to a really great guy for nearly 9 years.

Sassyred73 - I am a nurse but my first love is my Children and my Husband,I enjoy the country life I live and the pets I raise.I hope to someday have a ranch. my hasband is a copand a damed good one too.for fun I love to read or spend time with the friends the I have grown up with.and I hope to travel someday with my family and see the world.

ford_girl83 - Hi my name is Erin and I'm 22 years old. I live in freezing cold Minnesota and work as a sales manager for my fiance's business. I work about 13-16 hours a day usually, except for most Sundays. I'm highly disciplined at a young age with lots of goals. I'm to be married in July to the love of my life, we just bought a house together, and I hope to have kids in the future.

bense - I guess you could say that I am a recessive of recessives. I have all the recessive traits; red hair, blue eyes, left handed (well kinda ambidexterous) and to top off all those traits that tend to be warning signs to elementary school teachers, I'm diagnosed with ADHD. My teachers LOVED ME :) I am a poet, mechanic, welder, wanna-be-engineer, computer nerd. My mother is an art teacher, my father was an engineer. Go figure.

Redlauren - I accidentally spill something everyday and have since I was three; I am not patient enough; I love tabasco sauce; I will creep you out first; and semicolons have a special place in my heart. Oh, and I love dogs.

HallowQueen - I was born on Halloween with hazel eyes and flaming red hair. I am the only red head in my family for several generations on either side. As I child, I was called "witch" so much I thought it must be true. Now,I just threaten to "hex" people if they cross me. My personal motto is borrowed from two infamous quotes, "Knowledge is power, but ignorance is bliss, so choose wisely."

Dingle_Flame - I've always dreamed of having an Irish wedding, since I was a little girl, and in June of 2005 my dream came true!

I grew up in the south, the only redhead in my family. I took pride in my irish roots and really loved my red locks. I felt unique, especially since I had brown eyes - most redheads have blue or green.

Knowing we are just 4% of the world's population is why I think it is important we get to know eachother. I'm glad there is a website, like this, to celebrate the joy of being a redhead!

I always try to encourage children who hate their red hair to take pride that they are special. God gave me this hair uniquely for a purpose. I wouldn't be who I am or where I am if I'd had brown or blonde hair. I LOVE IT!!!

flamingbraids - I am 5' 8", green eyes, medium athletic build. I enjoy exercise, reading, computer, genealogy.

Watergirl - I am an athletic, outgoing, vivacious red head with a zest for life. I choose to be a happy person and surround myself with positive energy, both in my home and personal life. I am an avid cyclist and enjoy many outdoor activities, especially travelling. I enjoy organic cooking and trying new things. I love music and have currently taken up the guitar.

Thomas - I love to camp and spend time outdoors. I belong to a group of close friends who will celebrate our 30th year camping together for a week each year. You can check out our adventures at www.redriversaga.com. The photo section shows each of us grtting older and fatter each year as time goes by. Im the only read headed one there, and not in most of the pics because I took most of them. Anyone interested in attending is welcome. Just let us know in the visitors log or email.

alibear - I'm about 5'2", have a typically fiery redhead's temper and come from a Scots-Irish background. My husband and I live in Toronto, Canada and have no children yet. Well if you count my husband and my dog, I suppose I take care of two functionally childlike creatures. We've recently bought a house and are busy fixing it up. My favourite television shows include CSI, House, and The Biggest Loser. I work for AirMiles, a loyalty program that used to be worldwide in scope at one time, but now exists only in the UK and Canada.

RubyRatbag - I'm a happily married redhead in her early 30's who has spent far too long at university pursuing a doctorate in philosophy. Outside of philosophy my other interests are life drawing, craft, history, theology and writing. I am also an epileptic and tend to be a very sensitive and compassionate person. I'm afraid the wife's tale about redheads and temperament is true of me! I am also a liberal minded Christian.

terezka - i am a farmgirl from south dakota, but have lived in and travelled to many parts of the world. i am a performance, installation and video artist, as well as a documentary filmmaker. i am also an activist for social change. i work on issues involving media, rural life and small farmers, and environment. i am fascinated by 'being red' and am discovering that many of us have unusual physiologies. i wonder if we are not the canaries for our changing world.

BonBon72 - I'm a very busy SAHM to 3 wonderful kids, even if they are responsible for the white hairs popping up. I've been married to my best friend & soul mate since June, '93 and we are a proud Army family. Growing up I hated my wild red & curly hair but I realize now it's what makes me *special* and I'm not just another "face in the crowd". Besides I can get away with so much because "I'm a redhead" ;)

stevejj - Hi, I am 33 single and have two children. I am enjoy spending tme with my family walking and jusy mucking around. I enjoy sports British football and motorsport, I enjoy travelling and so far I have been to the US, Jamica, France, Spain, Portugal, Tunisa, Itlay, Egypt, and various other countries. I am 6ft friendly and enjoy chatting to people from other countries. Though it would be interesting to chat on a specfic site, I have never really had an issue with my hair colour but I understand others who have. Look forward chatting to other people soon.

ScarletRaven - I am one of those redheads that holds true to most of the stereotypes. I am short-tempered (but it is getting better), whenever I do something I do it big (and right--well, most of the time), I have a freckle on every part of my body that has seen the sun (well, every part of my body), and my sisters (who were not gifted with red hair) always said that it looked like I had permanent white tights on. I am now (yes, it took awhile) proud to be a natural redhead and can always spot a fake in the bunch. None of my immediate family has red hair or light eyes, so I am used to sticking out. I must admit that I am not that good with names, and being a redhead means that everyone remembers mine most of the time. I love my red locks, although I am not above dissuading my frinds to remain brunettes and blondes.

Karmaqueen - I live in the U.K. I thought I would join to stick up for all the other redheads out there in the U.K! If you want to find out more about me, visit my website!

Marielle - Hello, My name is Marielle and I am from the Netherlands. I am 34 years old and still proud of my red hear. It's still the same color as I was born. I live with my cat, also with some red hear. I like to go on holiday's to see the whole world. I also like to go dancing (jazz and tap) I do this since I was 6.

piccola - My name is Cynthia but most people call me Cin or Cindy. I am 22 years old. I am a full-time student at UMASS Boston and I work part time at a bank as an accounting clerk two days a week and I am a teller on Saturdays. I love both of my jobs. When I am not working or going to school (which is not very often) I like spending time with my two older sisters, my nephew and my boyfriend. I have an associates degree in Elementary Education and in one more year I will have a bachelor's in Psycology (if all goes as planned). I am an alumus of the Walt Disney World College Program. I hope to one day go back to work for Disney. I would like to try out for the role of a princess one day and if that doesn't work out, well who knows what I'll do. Well, that's pretty much me in a nutshell!

Ruadhgubrath - I am an extremely deep person, a complexity of emotion. I think redheads tend to be more emotionally inclined for some reason. I love to travel but I'm from Montana and love it there, nature inspires me. I'm also very independent, which I think comes a lot from being a redhead. People would probably describe me as a quite, more serious person.

LaRoja - I come from a family with 5 siblings. There are only two redheads out of 6. However, the other ones have red highlights and my older brother has a red beard. My mom is a dark brunette, and my dad is a light brunette. However, my mom's dad and my dad's mom, had red hair. The other red head, as I like to call her, has a daugher, who also has read hair. Although her husband also had red hair.

My husband is 100% Japanese and his hair is very dark black. However, our son has dark brunette hair, but he has hairs the same color as mine.

When I was grown up standing out because of my red hair is not something I wanted to do. Now I believe I enjoy the standing out just fine.

Irish_Matt - Well first off I would be one of those Irish red heads. I am just finishing up a masters in conflict analysis (Peacebuilding). I live in Brooklyn New York and emigrated to the US in 2003. So for the past year and a half I have lived on campus in Virginia in a small town called Harrisonburg.

So I am hoping to get to know some other red heads in New York. I think red heads make a rather cool social group compared to other dull hair colours. When a group of red heads enter a room heads turn, as it's a sight not often seen.

Hambone - I like to have fun, that includes Skydiving, Hanging out with friends, fishing, water skiing, and playing lacrosse. I have also been known to party a time or two.

Denyse - I'm a 5'3" bundle of energy. Life is to short to sit still. I have a great deal of passion for life. That is, in my opinion, the reason people consider redheads to be hot tempered. We are just plain "HOT" everything! If you can't stand the heat, get out of the fire and avoid the nearest redhead.

bandnerdtx - I'm an English and Journalism teacher in an inner city High School, and I absolutely love it. I get to spend my work day hanging out with a bunch of really great kids and discuss literature! Who could ask for more?

I'm also very involved with my local community band. I played the flute all through high school and part of college, but quit for about 10 years. I just started playing again about 3 years ago. Lucky me, I also found my soulmate there. He's the director, and *GOD* was he worth the wait!

hillary1631f - My name is Hillary. I am originally from Indiana but moved to california to go to school. I was a competition platform diver for 3 years. How i miss it dearly. Now I am a fashion and design major planning on attending CSU Northridge in the fall. I have dyed my hair numerous times to fit in but always go back to my beautiful red locks. I have 0 friends with red hair! :( I'm all alone!

Linzi - Hi everyone! I'm Linzi, I'm 19 and I'm from from a small town in Indiana! I have always prided myself in my hair but I am even more proud now that I am part of such an amazing group!

I am currently searching for my purpose right now...I sing...I am going to beauty school soon...and I like charity work. So, needless to say I have some planning that I have to do.
