aredheadz - First of all,I love being a red head and I am lucky enough to
have freckles to go along with that! When I was a child, I used to
put lemon juice on my face, trying to get rid of them. Imagine that!
I am 5'1 with an average build.
I find integrity and character to be the utmost importance. Friends
and friendships are important to me. I am blessed with the most
wonderful friends in the world.
I love social times, including entertaining, but also like alone
time.
Regan - I grew up as the only redhead in my family--which led to lots
of teasing from my brother, sister, and 30 non-redheaded cousins.
And the nicknames!: red, flame, pinkie, red-on-the-head,
pumpkin-head, carrot-top, and even "la peliroja" when I lived in
South America. (Talk about standing out in a crowd.....)
Now I write children's books in which many of my heroines are
redheads. Go figure.
Being a natural redhead is unique and has brought wanted--and
unwanted--attention many times. But I wouldn't want to go through
life any other way.
LaBlue - Im a very independent reheaded woman. I'm the only living redhead in my family. I grew up in an area in California where I was the only Redhead I'd see for years. I got teased alot, but never stopped loving my hair and the person I was and am. I love history and love to learn about redheads in history. We have an interesting and proud tradition that I hope to one day pass on to my children.
MsRedHead - I have lived in my quiet little corner of the country for
almost 24 years. I moved from one island (Manhattan!) to the
semi-rural island north of Seattle that I have made my true home. I
came out here two decades ago on a wing & a prayer as a young, single
redhead and found my redhead (especially his beard!) "Prince
Charming". Together, we raised our "Auburn" haired boy on our little
piece of paradise and have sent him off into the world. I feel lucky
to have had a chance to help perpetuate/replentish this world with
another Redhead and to lead a creative life in a beautiful place.
I am an artisan & proprietor --having run my own business of guest
accommodations over the last 16+ years.
KiddoReD23 - My name is Katie and I LOVE BEING A REDHEAD!!! Being red makes me feel special and unique! I'm 5'6" and curvy. I'm 18 and a student at Roosevelt University. I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to school work. I was born in Chicago and have lived here for most my life. I'm of Irish-Scottish descent. I'm an only child, but have three great step-siblings. My parents divorced when I was little. I'm currently and Enlish major and I hope to teach high school someday. My greatest ambitions would be to travel the world and to save someone's life. For spirituality, I'm agnostic, but I'm currently learning about Buddhism.
orangie - I have always felt that being a Redhead was what has
defined me. I take pride in it as most redheads do. Sometimes I wonder what kind of person I would
be with out redhair. I am a redhead and am very proud of it!
I am a preschool teacher and love what I do. I work in a great school and feel so lucky to work
there. I love children, they are my life. I do not have children of my own yet, but look forward to
motherhood someday.
I love to meet new people and found this site. I think it would be great to meet other redheads out
there. I have always felt that we are a rare group and should stick together.
curlyred - Crazy, free-spirited, curly haired redhead.
mandypeach - I am a self proclaimed, larger than life female with big dreams and aspirations. I am a journalism major at Oakland University minoring in political science and hoping to write for a magazine or newspaper one day. I'm a freelance writer and I make extra money by writing articles for local newspapers and magazines. I also want to write a book sometime during my life... haven't decided what to write it about yet and I'm always open to suggestions :) Right now I am writing an article about how there will probably be no more redheads by the year 2100 because only about 4% of the worlds population has the redhead gene in them! (Maybe I should pass those genes down after all...) I love to dance, I was in ballet for 13 years but now school and work take up most of my life. I love talking to people and meeting new people, I would consider it a hobby. Feel free to drop me a line anytime!
winslowboy - charming handsome ginger, not ashamed of my fiery locks, they go with my fiery personality! Like all redheads i've had to fight gingerphobia sice i was a kid and i think it's made me a stronger person. I'm unique, not a freak! I play drums too, rock on.
Frankie - I never appreciated my red hair (which was and is very red) when I was in grade school. It made me seem too different and I got made fun of for it. Now I realize how much of a gift it is from God. I don't get made fun of for it anymore, but am usually complemented. Now I feel special, not different.
I am a college graduate (studied theology in Chicago) with dreams but not always enough ambition to capture them. I am amittadly stubborn at times (maybe because of my red hair or maybe it's just me), and love to show my humor. I was a truck driver for 2 years until too many accidents forced my company to fire me (just little accidents, my truck didn't burn up like a friend of mines did). I was also a flight attendant and am now a starbuck's barista at the Lake Orion M24 store. Come visit if you're in the area.
Taylor - 50-something, married. Children are two dogs: Alexa (border collie) and Isabella (beagle). Born with deep, rich red hair. Now's it's fading fast! I love being a redhead. We rule!
annesgreat - I live with my boyfriend in a tiny apartment by the ocean in Victoria, BC. I'm the only
redhead in my family, everyone else has dark brown hair. It's easy to forget how much I stand out
until someone comments (oft times bitterly) on the shade of my hair and THEIR lifelong efforts to
procure such a shade. I'm also extremely freckly and burn to a crisp in the sun, which sucks because
I love the sun!
Oh! And my name is Anne, which is a complete coincidence because I was bald until I was three, but
that hasn't made it any easier to be a redhead named Anne, let me tell you!
AutumnJolene - I'm a fun gal with a very twisted sense of
humor. I love reading almost anything I can get my hands on, but I'm also a huge fan of cartoons
(Family Guy, South Park..). I hope to one day be an animator myself, but that's a bit of a pipe
dream. I love to sew, but my main passion is drawing. I also paint and sculpt with clay or metal. I
also have a closet love for Biology, specifically biology and mycology. Yes, I am a huge nerd. But
I'm a redheaded nerd. :)
achillesred - I have just returned from living in Germany the last several years. Having just recently finished serving my time in the military I will be starting my new career as a local police officer. I guess it suits me since I have frequently been asked if I was an undercover cop ;) I have done a bit of travelling in recent years and I am always eager to travel.
ap21ril - I am a nursing student from California. The closest description to my hair is probably close to auburn red (this is with help form my mom). I don't dye it at all because I have always gotten more compliments on my natural hair color than anything else. I have been looking for a good website for red heads and I really loved the shirts on this one! Anyway I enjoy reading and being outside (with sunscreen of course!)
reds_ohare - I'm a typical libra, that just happens to mesh well with her red hair. I love being a redhead, because it's just who I am. I work for a large logistics company based in Atlanta, and working is pretty much my life. I love music and art, and spend alot of my time doing, listening, or making both, as well as movies, photography, cooking, hanging out with friends and the like.
redbet - Little Orphan Annie, I salute you!
Anne of Green Gables, I salute you!
Nancy Drew, I salute you!
Redheads of the world, unite!
I am proud to be a member of this genetically blessed community! From my
earliest days, my red hair has been a kind of calling card - people don't forget
a head of red hair - and it's been a great conversation starter - especially
with other redheads! Years ago, when I was new to New York City, strangers
offered me a much-needed babysitting job on the street. Why? The family had
red hair and thought I'd fit right in. What started out as a part-time job
turned into a cherished lifelong friendship - all because of our shared shades
of red.
Doxielover - I'm a redhead who was born with very bright red hair, but like my mother it has darkened as I've gotten older. The funny thing is that my husband's mother also had red hair, although she dyed it when she got older. My mother never had to dye her hair, and while I am noticing a gray hair or two now I am hoping I won't have to either.
HoosierupNY - I am a college student at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. But I was born and raised in New York City. And I don't mean long island i mean Manhattan. I'm also a brother at Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity. I enjoy going out at night to bars and such to have a good time. I also enjoy visiting places both outside and within the US.
iuredhead - I'm a friendly, out-going, single, petite, bodacious redhead with green eyes (colored contacts) and a great sense of humor. My faith, family and friends are very important to me. I'm thankful for the abundance of blessings and friends in my life. I'm a hard working person who has a full-time job at Indiana University and who does house/pet-sitting on the side. I love to laugh and love to share laughter with my friends.
jeaniegirl - I am a petite lady with lots of freckles.I love life and my family. When i was pregnant all I prayed for was a healthy child with red hair and blue eyes. I was blessed with all I asked. I love everything Disney and everything Florida as I was born & raised here. I can't wait to meet more red heads!!!
hlovestohaha - My name is Heather [Mae]. I live in New York City. Im an aspiring actress curently training at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. I have a fiery personality. I love to try new things and meet new people. I love being a red head and feel it is a blessing. I inherited my red hair from my mother and my father's mother. I have three siblings, all who are blondes. :] I dance, sing, act, write music, and I love spending beautiful Spring days in Central Park reading a book. Im addicted to Greys Anatomy and Harry Potter. Coffee keeps me alive. :]
NWRedhead - Happily married with one child in elementary school. Enjoy spending as much time as possible outside (weather permitting of course). Currently working in the accounting field.
Turning the BIG 40 this year. So, any advice from redheads in their 40's would be great. Noticed my hair is not as bright and wondering what others are doing to battle this.
Tiger_Lady - Insanity is a daily activity. I think it comes with the redhead bit. Can't stop long enough to sleep, eat, etc. Love to have fun, but easily distracted. Cannot drink - too depressing. Love to dance - but only a sometimes club with friends. My home state, Texas, is very important to me. Don't know why, except I think we have everything except snow. Which is fine to visit, but as I'm cold-blooded, not a choice for living. Work is a necessity, not a joy for me. Silly things bring the biggest smiles to my face. Simple things bring down my redhead wrath. Caution with words and me is advised. I nitpick and analyze a WHOLE lot of what I say or what is said to me. Philosophy actually makes sense to me. I respect others and expect the same in return. Crossing my boundary on that, will result in me withdrawing in a terrible temper tantrum. Playing with fun stuff will result in off the wall nutzy stuff from me - that's the fun side.
estast15 - I think it is hilarious that there is a website for red heads. Finally! We are included in something.
redhead4u - I have three beautiful children, two girls and one boy that are my world. They drive me soooo crazy, but they are the reason I get up each day! I am a school bus driver, which is something I wasn't sure I would be able to stick with, but I have found that I love it and can't imagine doing anything else. I looove my red hair, it used to be something I tolerated (never really hated it), but now I am so proud to have it. I love the stigma that comes with it, and the attention of course! I love dancing, singing(very horribly...LOL), joking around, hanging out with friends, hearing children laughing, listening to the funny totally honest things that kids say, reading, and talking on the phone with my sis (who is my best, best friend!).
Art_Star - I live in Richmond but my home town is in the DC area. I'm in my first year of art school, hence the username and yyy reference. I'm really into music, yeah yeah yeahs, strokes, japanther, death from above 1979, etc. I'm into oldies like the yardbirds and led zeppelin and the stones.
linda735 - Wow! This is really cool, I have always felt like an outsider esp. when I was a little girl. It's not easy growing up with red hair and freckels, but now that I am grown I wouldn't want it any other way. We truly are beautiful and special people.
redheather - I recently dyed my hair for the first time going from a light golden-red color to a deep, "chili" fiery red. I love being a redhead and I have the stereotypical fiery personality to match! "Blondes are a dime a dozen, Redheads are a quarter each!"
gypsyrider - I am both a Redhead and a Taurus which can at times make me hard to live with. Just ask my husband and my cat. I owned an antique shop for 10 years, so yes I really love old things. We do alot of family history, genealogy whenever time permits. I love to travel, cook, paint, listen to all kinds of good music and read. I love the Spring the best and enjoy gardening. I was teased as a child for having red hair, isnt it funny that as you grow older you see so many people wanting to have it too. I hope to meet alot of new friends here.
Born2Fly - I guess you can first say I dispell the rumor of red heads having a firery temper. When I was little, I remember like most being teased and once kept telling an elder gentleman that my was orange and not red. Ahhh freckles, now that is what I got teased about most and Mom use to tell me they were angle kisses.......I got kissed a lot. Now I am proud to be red head and besides being 6' 4", the red makes you stand out. Love talking to new folks.
Ryan - I'm a redhead who's very proud of his hair (what little I have). I used to have a pretty bad temper (yeah, I meet the stereotype) but I'm a Christian now and God's helped me control it. I have a BS in Computer Science and am currently working on my MBA. This site looked interesting so I thought I'd give it a go.
flappy - Hi there, I am a 32 year old redhead with long, curly hair. Originally from Germany, I have been living in the UK for 10 years. I experienced a lot of bullying in school due to the colour of my hair and it has taken my a long time but now I love it. We are special!
redheadlefty - Well my name is John and I am from Avon, Ohio. If being a redhead isnt
rare enough I am also left handed and have an outtie belly button. So ya I am
basically one of the rarest people on the planet without having some sort of
desease or mutation or something.
I just graduated from Wyotech in Blairsville, PA with a Major of Collision and
Refinishing. Also with two minors in Chassis Fabrication and also Trim and
Upholesrty.
I come from a large irish/german Catholic family. Middle child of 7,3 brother
and 3 sisters. They all mean the world to me.
JaniceS - I'm going to be a panda for halloween. i'll update this later, after i finish my third cup of coffee.
TabbySmiley - I am 34, 5'7-5'8 tall, I am
heavier than I would like but no one else seems to think it is a bad thing. (but
they are my friends, why would they) I am not very athletic or limber but I can
hang if it isnt too difficult. I am very stubborn and neither my Momma nor my
Dad seem to know why. Maybe that is cause neither one of them want to take the
blame for that one, when I know that I got a little of it from both of them. I
am "always" right whether I am or not. I dont have alot of enemies, but if you
do me wrong you will definately be in that category. I am very forgiving and
caring. I would say that i love to do for others more than myself.
deanadinkers - I am a true redhead. I have pasty white skin, lots of freckles and blue eyes. I also have the fiery personality to go along with the red hair. I have a zest for life. I love being around people. I value humor, sometimes I laugh so hard I cry. I love city streets and mountain paths. I cant get enough out of life.
CelticKit - I am open minded, nature loving Canadian teaching overseas with my brand new husband. I come from a redheaded Mom with 6 red headed sisters! I am fiery, but with curiosity and a taste for adventure! I love nothing more then exploring my ancient culture, reading books, or being out basking in the glow of our Divine Mother's glory. I studied social work and am preparing for a masters in occupational therapy, in which I am excited to train dogs for the elderly and people with disabilities.
wildredhead - I am a tall sort of built redhead with shoulder length red hair. I, of course, have very light skin and I do have freckles. My eyes sometimes change color depending on the weather and in the summer my hair takes on a lighter hue.
tetonreds - I am a man of few words. While I have learned to contain it, my temper can still be described as fiery, thus living up to the red. I really am a nice easy going guy, I take my life, my sports and my drinking seriously however. I am also a leo, so beware the roar.
barbarajean60 - I feel very strongly about being honest and direct. I usually say what's on my mind and expect the same in return. I work full time and am three months away from receiving my bachelor degree. I am determined, self motivated, and an eternal optimist. Negativity has no place in my life. I believe you can do anything you want if you believe in yourself, and have the drive to do it.
gigsym - I am the youngest of five kids - two of us are redheads, my mom is also a redhead (both her parents were as well). I am an actress, and I work as a receptionist during the day. I went to grad school in London - which I consider my second (or third, really!) home. I am originally from Massachusetts, and moved to NYC for acting!
knightvamp - Here i am...there you are, so what can i say im funny and have a big head aka full of myself and a total female dog aka the b word lol.
CaErin - Hi. Sooo...you want to know about me. Well, there isn't too much to say. I'm generally happy and outgoing. I like to spend time indoors and outdoors. I'm generally not picky about my activities...since as long as I'm hanging with good people, I'm having a fantastic time. I am super lucky to have so many great friends in my life, so that I always have someone to kick around with. I've been occassionally referred to as a little bit of a princess, but those fools are wrong. I have been known to be quite bratty most of the time. It keeps me entertained!! hehe
U2Fan - I am a happy stay at home mom with a husband and 2 beautiful daughters who keep me busy. I think its great to be a redhead. My daughter is one too. Definitely have a temper of one if provoked. LOL but mostly lovable and passionate.
Jeweleia - Hi, my name is Julie:) People call me Jewels or Jeweleia:) I am 31, married, and have 2 kids, Anja 7 and Alex 12. I grew up in Denver, and although I love the trees in Ohio, I am a mountain girl at heart. My Dad and sister have bright red hair I covet. My mom and middle sis are blonde, and tan. I dont tan, and have freckles like my dad and eldest sis, but they have redder hair and green eyes. I ended up in the middle w/ strawberry blonde hair and Aqua eyes:) I am 5'11", and have a hole in my right ear I was born with.
Sweetlilred - I am a silly person and love to joke around, have a easy going attitude. When I was younger I used to hate my red hair because it got so much attention, I went to school with mostly Phillipino's who had dark skin and dark hair, I felt like a freak, because I got so much attention. I am shy so it bothered me a lot. Now that I am older I accept myself and realize that a lot of people love red hair, of course we always realize when we are older.
MzLynda - Myth? Forget it! Everything they say about redheads is true in my case!! Hot headed, temperamental, passionate...you betcha!!! That is what my husband, friends, family and admirers both love and hate about me. I have a great sense of humor, though misdirected at times, and love to make light of situations, to make everyone feel at ease. Just don't make me angry...you wouldn't like me when I'm angry!!!!
copperhead44 - I talk too much, and too fast. Used to hate my red hair when I was little, but now it's kinda cool, everyone wants my hair. I'm the only redhead I know who can actually get a tan!
SexyIrishRed - I'm an intelligent, fun-loving, independent, open, honest, sexy and happy lady. I'm not looking for a man (I have one, thank you), but I am always looking for new friends. I can be a flirt, too. I love sports, reading, writing, and spending low-key time with my family and friends. I love provacative, thought-provoking conversations with people who understand that there are more important things in the world than Britney's hair (or lack thereof) or what kind of car they drive.
RedSea1221 - Simple guy, looking for fun with other NATURAL red heads..... I'm 23, college educated, gainfully employed, own apartment/car etc. 6'2, 200 lbs, athletic built. Don't be scared to send me a message..I wont bite :-)
scarlettann - My name is Robin Ann. I'm once divorced, twice married. 2nd & presently, to my amazing husband, Jimmy. I have one son. His name is Sky, he's handsome, brilliant & 33 yrs. young - living in Germany, making plans to marry the love of his life, Nicole. I still maintain a very nice relationship with my ex-husband who is now married to a 'blonde.' What can I say?
I was born in Manhattan Bch, CA, lived in Maryland 'til I was 14, moved back to CA & now, my husband is retiring & we're moving into the home where he grew up in Galveston, TX - two blks from the beach. Oh & we have our darling Scooter, a 2-yr old 'Fluffy' Pempbroke Welsh Corgi. I worked as a professional in Human Resources since I was 25 yrs old, specializing in employee relations & worker's compensation. I got tired of the corporate grind & since I've always LOVED clothes, SHOES & handbags, I bought a mannequin & began selling high-end designer clothes on eBay about five years ago. I plan to begin selling on eBay again after we settle in Galveston.
Mocoholo - Just another fiesty redhead with tons of attitude. I am a huge TV and movie lover and an avid reader. I love being a redhead. Who says blondes have more fun?
