"Please, please, do not come up to a redheaded person you do not know and say, "Hi, red!" I do have a few friends that call me "Red" but that’s just because they are friends. If you know my name, use it. If you don’t know it, you might ask me. Then if I want to have a conversation with you, I most likely will tell it to you. If not, who gives you the right to refer to me in such a personal way? Not a way to get off to a good start. And to all the people who know my name but refuse to use it, I say the only reason they refer to me as "Red" is because they are too stupid to remember my name. "

"Don't ask if we're Irish! We're not all Irish! My red hair comes from Scandinavia(on both sides of my family), and I have not one drop of Irish blood in my veins. I'm mostly English and Danish, for crying out loud! I'm not Irish! I can do a pretty good Irish accent, but I'm not Irish! Faith and begorrah! Sorry, I had to get that off my chest."

"I think that people who are obsessed with redheads are on the right track. As a redhead, I always notice any other redheads. We are so striking that we always stand out. People who are intrigued by us are adventurous and ready whatever life has to offer."

"Redheads are people like anyone else, with the same emotional make-up. Some are hot headed, others are calm. Some are passionate, others are cold. Sometimes I think we become a self-fulling prophesy, we are told all our lives that we are quick tempered, so we become just that. "

"A guy that went to my high school asked me to be a subject for him for a project he had to do for his photography class. He wanted to do some things on redheads and I was the best one he knew. So I went and let him take the pictures of my hair, etc. etc. Later on in the year, he entered the same pictures in the contest the photo club has annually and he won first place off of them. I just thought that was pretty cool. I also got a modelling job because of my hair one time. heh"
