I can't say that I was or am really so different from everyone else. I have 10 toes, 8 fingers, 2 thumbs. My hair just makes me look cooler! I was always happy with my hair color and how people treated me because of it. It was really just my not being able to get a tan that was hard for me. My red hair just makes me feel even more like an individual. It gives me icebreakers for meeting new people and I feel sexy knowing I'm a rare species.

I admire other redheads with attitude. This new generation does not seem to take any crap like my generation had to.

I was teased constantly by the girls when I was young. I never understood what fueled it until we got to high school and suddenly everyone was trying to get out of a bottle what came naturally to me. Then I realized it had to be part envy. My mother loved that my hair was red, because if I were lost in a crowd, I stood out quickly!

my mom used to put my hair up in pigtails, and ribbons that stood really high, and i had the dark freckles all over the cheeks, and teeth missing, and flaming redhair so I was teased, carrot top etc, and I would say to them back well a carrot top is green and I have redhair so get your story straight dude.

I work in an old people magnet kinda place, a fabric store, and I just get a constant stream of questions
like "Is it real????" And I don't have the heart to say to an 80 yr old "It's a perm and a dye job, how much of this fabric do you want?" It seems kinda mean. But I love my hair, always have. I'm happy with me.

I've always thought it's good to be just a little different than everyone else. My redhair helped set me apart from the crowd. I wasn't normally teased about my hair-- it was the freckles that people liked to joke about.
