I think that people who worship redheads are odd. I do not fixate on hair color. Hair color does not a person make. There are strange, ugly, beautiful, kind, hard, soft, delightful, horrendous people of all colors, AND with all kinds of hair. I don't like being classified because of the color of my hair.

Not to say that I don't enjoy some positive attention that is attributed to my hair. However, it has been my experience that people who are obsessed with red hair seem to have a screw lose somewhere in their brains. And I am talking really obsessed, not just that they prefer red hair over blond, but because we all have our preferences."

"I totally understand the fascination with redheads, as I suffer from it myself! lol It has something to do with the combination of fair skin, freckles, the firey hair and the blue/green eyes that really makes my heart thunder... I have books of photographs just of redheads - some professional works - most of my own poor attempts. Two of my ex's were redheads - and I love them both dearly still. There's a connection that crackles whenever we're within striking distance of one another - it's so full of emotion, one hardly knows what to do with one's self! Even after all these years... Go figure!"

"The stereotyping that comes with being red doesn't bother me. Because I'm a redhead you want to think I'm stubborn, quick-tempered and opinionated? Go right ahead. You're probably right and besides, there are worse traits I could have. I could be dull and boring ;)"

"[Give some advice to the people out there that are wanting to meet and fall in love with a redhead?] Well, I don't think there is anything special that you can do JUST for a red-head. Everyone is different and need different things in their love life. But maybe some recognition for their red-hair. I know that it is the one thing that makes me feel special and different and I like when my husband acknowledges it and tells me how lucky he is to have a "little red-headed woman."

"Generally speaking, I think we redheads are fascinating creatures. I love the colour of my hair and wouldn't trade it for anything. Throughout history we've been suspected of sorcery, larceny, piracy, treachery and insanity. Egyptians buried us alive, Aztecs sacrificed us to their gods and New Englanders stoned us in the streets. On the plus side, we're loyal, cuddly, vivacious, sexy, intelligent and make the best leaders. Better Red than Dead!"
