[People who are obsessed with redheads] can be really creepy at times. Sometimes when you go out on a date with these people all they can talk about is your hair. I once dated a guy who I could swear only loved me for my red hair! It's not good to be obsessed like this!

[Would you date another redhead?] Seriously? No way. I love being a red head, but in reality I am more than enough red head for ten people. Make that ten million. Ultimately, I have seen red headed couples, and there's an air of trouble around them. I am sure there are ones that work out, but I have found out the hard way that two red heads together spell disaster worse than a hellstorm. Already I am in a serious relationship of sorts with a red head. My youngest son. He's all red head and we constantly butt heads. Our battle of the wills chase out even the ants. No one dares to come around when a 4 year old red head takes on a 26 year old one. Even though I am mommy and still win, his will comes out stronger every day. I love that little boy to death, but after dating three different red headed men (one was grey when I was seeing him, but was red-headed in his younger days) my favorite saying has become "Never put two red heads under the same roof for an extended period of time. You're looking for trouble if you do." Don't get me wrong. Red heads are beautiful people and make wonderful babies. We have wonderful personalities and big hearts. From my experience we just can't click in pairs. Others' experience will differ, but I couldn't seriously see a grown man with red hair. I have tried. I find red headed men very attractive. Not just because of their red hair. Most of the ones I have seen have the most intense and beautiful blue eyes (my son does too). Wonderful personalities and a temper to rival mine. It's just that I am weird enough for myself. I couldn't handle two of me and I don't think the rest of the world can either... *lol*

I think it's like anything else that's a rarity. If it's rare, people want it. Like diamonds and fur. Redheads are a small percentage, and we attract people's attention, catch people's eye. What guy wouldn't want a shimmering red head on his arm to show off?

I probably would [date another redhead] if the woman wasn't too much like myself. I find most redheaded woman attractive but I think deep inside with a red head, we have that fear of dating another red head, is like dating your self. Redheads are very similar, so that is probably a constant thought if faced with that question.

I tend to disagree with any stereotype - why can we just be human? ourselves? god forbid - and even though I can identify with most of the redhead stereotypes, I attribute most of them to other aspects of my personality, my upbringing, and my genetics. It can be cool, though, such as, if you're really stubborn; if you're a redhead, people take you that much more seriously and stay the nut out of your way!

the most interesting thing that happened to me as a redhead is i think my husband married me for my hair - he adores it. also in the mall i got approached by a person from redken hair and was asked to be in their hair show in front of a thousand people from updos to curly to straight. then i was playing in a softball game and was approached by a local bridal salan and was asked to model wedding gowns and bridesmaids dresses. i am not conceited, but every day is interesting - a redhead leaves a lasting impression and they should be proud of it.
