If someone called me Red it would piss me off, but I usually turn around, and see what color hair they have and say back, hey blondie, or hey brownie...ha ha!

Oh man, I hated being a redhead. I was teased so much when I was a little girl,
and still teased today. But I remember that I used to like to watch "the price is right"
and my great grandfather would say "Red on the Head, come on down" I so hated that.
Now I remember it and smile fondly...

The line in the Brookes and Dunn song that goes something like " there' s a redhead over yonder lookin at me " was repeated to me on occassion when me and my aunt would go dancing at a local western dance club in Missouri... I can say this, the first time, I was not impressed. I can sympathize with someone and thank them if they can honestly just come out and say they find my hair attractive, therefore they find me attractive, but please dont be cheesy!

I really like my red hair. I don't think I'd trade it for the world. The thing I like the most
about me and my hair is that it is all natural. I have never put highlights in it,
colored it, tried to lighten it up, anything. I'm 110% natural. I've toyed with the thought of
getting blonde highlights because I think it would be so cute... but I haven't.
I just want to be able to say that my hair is totally natural and has never been
touched with a hair color. Ya know, people spend thousands of dollars to get their
hair the color mine is. That makes me feel good. Not a week goes by that someone doesn't
compliment me on my hair. I love that.

I am much fonder of my red hair now that I am an adult. I have a certain respect for my natural color. The turning point came for me when I was about 23, and I died my hair jet black. I looked in the mirror, and saw my Mother staring back at me! I looked so much older than my years. I have never died my hair since, and prefer to be myself no matter what.
