My mom made me enter a redhead contest. In school, elementary through high school, I have always been made fun of for having red hair. I was ashamed of my hair and then I won second place at the L.A. County Fair Redhead Contest. I started realizing that maybe the girls were just jealous of me and the guys were mad because I didn't give them the time of day since they teased me. Having red hair showed me I am different, unique and I should be proud to be. It's funny what my hair color did for me.

It's painfully obvious when a person seriously singles anyone out based on his/her appearance, and usually results in the "object" of interest feeling stalked or repulsed. When approaching that person with romantic interests, it's best to have gotten to know him/her first and THEN decide if you'd like a romantic relationship, and pursue it as per normal, than to just approach a redhead for a date.

I don't see myself with another redhead 'csue we "fellow redheads" are rather interesting and high tempered people, and I hate fighting. But on the other hand, we are passionate and creative love makers... I'd say that odds are... I dunno if I'd date another redhead?!?! But I can't see myself dating a person like me.. LOL

I was chosen from a crowd to use an electricity thing to make my hair stand on end. The man said that he had never seen red hair stand straight up before. I have extremely thick and naturally curly hair, and he took my picture for the museum because my hair made such a scene.

Don't make a big deal of it. Everyone likes to be "special" and no-one likes to be thought of as "freaky". I love it when people complement me on my hair colour but I would think better of someone who wanted me for myself. After all, anyone with enough time and money can have red hair but I am unique.
