I have not heard too many corny pick up lines..I think men know better than to try that with a brazen redhead. I have heard ( read) plenty of them in chat rooms though and I would have to say the all time cheesiest one is, "Does the carpet match the drapes?" (If you catch my drift here). I tell them they aren't moving in so it doesn't matter. And what really drives me nuts is when guys say..."Oh I just love redheads!"...like they love all the redheads of the world. Yah right. I'm sure there's at least one hateful redhead somewhere in the world that that guy wouldn't love. How about liking a girl for who SHE IS, instead of her hair color. Frankly, I find it nothing but stereotypical.

years ago I worked with a group of dental students, we all know what students are like...they came up to me as a group with scotch tape in their hands...they had a bet about if I was a real redhead...if I would take the tape and stick it down, umm you know where, and if it came up red... well you get the gist of that... hahahaha

I was always picked on as a child. I can remember being in second grade and a kid telling me, "We don't want to play soccer with anyone with red hair and freckles!" Very harsh. The only compliments I got were from my mom or old ladies. I still wouldn't trade it for the world.

I think the stereotypes can be true if a redhead is expected to be hot-tempered and feisty and she lives up to the expectation. Or if she gets the feistiness beaten into her by her classmates and learns to be bad-tempered in self-defense. I always try to be very patient and calm because I know that people are already judging me before they know me.

I was teased all the time about my red hair, I hated it. Just like most reds, we all have the remembered pain of being teased without mercy by family members, by other kids, and sometimes even by adults. I was extremely shy because of it. What a curse when you are young and what a blessing when you are older - red hair and freckles, it's just amazing the way it turns around.

The single most common line I hear is "Are you a natural redhead?", to which I reply "Of course!" Over the years I've learned that people are basically all the same underneath, and have the same needs, fears and desires. I choose to not let snide comments hinder my progression in life, nor to judge too harshly those that make comments. Sometimes I think it's out of ignorance, other times it's simple jealousy. It still amazes me that only redheads seem to be singled out and their veracity questioned; how many times are blondes or brunettes asked if that is their "natural color"?
