"honestly, i'm not entirely familiar with redhead stereotypes... i think that in general stereotypes are a good thing, it's natural and sometimes advantageous to size up a person or situation quickly... unfortunately people don't apply them correctly... they have no value towards a specific person once you get to know them, nor do they have any merit when based on a single piece of irrelevant information like skin color or styles of clothing, which often do not accurately portray someone's personality... stereotypes usually only have value when based on a person's actions or attitudes...people tend to use stereotypes as a crutch, rather than just using them to apply previous information to make a guess about someone or something that they know nothing about...
most stereotypes don't seem to fit me well, i do fall into some categories, like passionate, "fiery", etc. but nothing has ever entirely fit my personality... some of it is that i'm a little different than a lot of people, and the rest is that i don't let just anybody really know me, so most stereotypes about me are not founded justly...
also, since i know myself more than anyone else around, i have no need to apply stereotypes (in the correct manner or otherwise) to myself... and as far as others are concerned, i worry more about stereotypes of 21 year-old men with longhair, tattoos, and earrings more than men with red hair"
