"I totally disagree with these stereotypes. Hell, my adopted sister is blond as blond can be and can beat me at being quick tempered, etc. hands down any day! I think people who are not redheaded need these stereotypes set in place so that they can feel better about themselves, much like any other stereotype. The old "I wasn't blessed with beautiful red hair, therefore you are either shit or perfection" type of thing. We aren't born with attitudes, we develop them."

"Actually, and I can't explain why, but ever since I was a little girl I have had this bad feeling towards males with red hair. Maybe I find them intimidating like men find me intimidating. Must be the hair color. *G*"

"I love it! I wore my hair super short for several years. I have grown it out to my shoulders now. When it was short, I didn't get near as much attention. Now, people walk up to me and their hands just automatically go for the hair. It's like they are compelled to touch it. The only bad thing is that wherever I go, people remember me from somewhere else. I can't get away with anything! Drat!"

"I think any obsession is unhealthy-the nut cases who won't date anyone but redheads are scary. In a perfect world a tall, nicely proportioned, well conditioned, red haired military officer with a combat patch and a belief in what he's doing, a cool 4-wheel drive vehicle and the ability to treat everyone with respect, regardless of gender, age, rank, or perceived social position, would just fall in to my lap. If he's got everything but the red hair, guess what, he's still my man!!"

"Even though I didn't truly appreciate it while growing up (how many times can you bear being called "carrot top" before you want to slug someone?) Without lifting a hair tendril, we automatically have all the mysteries and lore attached to redheadism flung onto us willy-nilly and it's up to those brave enough to look past those to see our true selves! In short - I love being a redhead!"
