"Most of these people [who worship redheads] are just plain strange! There are a few nice "worshipers" out there, but for the most part, in my experience, things get really weird. I mean, they worship your hair of all things. What about the fact that I'm no dummy? That I love animals, nature and reading? What in the world does that have to do with my hair! Please worship me because Im a goddess or a princess (as that is technically what my name means) or because you think I'm witty. I like the witty part best. One of the reasons that I married my husband is because, though he loved (and still loves) my hair, he really never said that in particular. He loves me for me. (mushy, mushy *g*)"

"Leave your stereotypes at the door, don't approach me like I am a rare specimine to be examined and questioned and don't DON'T pat the hair or ask questions like 'is it really your hair color?' or 'prove you're a natural redhead' or the old 'so is it true about redheads that they are __________?' Redheads are unique but not alien...and don't be afraid of the temper if you can remember the advice I just gave you. "

"While you might be intrigued by the red hair, don't confuse the red hair with the *person*. I would expect that any person would expect to be recognized and approached, and a relationship pursued, because of the unique and special characteristics of the individual, not because of your plumage.
How would you expect a woman to react if you walked up to her and said "Hi, I notice that you have enormous breasts, which are something I'm extremely interested in, so how about a date?" Why would you expect the answer to be any different if you said "red hair" as opposed to "breasts"? {Substitute "bulge in your pants" for "breasts", to change the gender of the example}
However, since there is a societal difference in the approach between hair colour and other body parts, after contact is established and a conversation is underway, making a comment along the lines of "I am intrigued" is acceptable, and can be easily phrased in a highly complimentary fashion."

"I really don't know the reason why they would be so obsessed with redheads in general, because we're really no different... but we all have our obsessions. Maybe its our temper or attitude, I definitely see that trait in most redheads! I can't really explain why. I think, for me, its because people think that I am so different just because of hair color that it gets on my nerves and it's made me have an attitude but then again maybe not. I dunno, its a redhead thing!"

"I live in Japan, and where blondes are one in 1000, redheads are one in a million. I do get noticed, and just like any guy, I love getting noticed. Whether it's my hair (which I am very proud of), or my uniform, or my figure. If they're chasing me because I"m a redhead, "hoo-rah" to you, because you are chasing what you want, and are braver than I."

"Always treat us with respect and not like we are something strange. We are unique - not freaks. Don't ever ask us stupid questions like about if the drapes match the carpet. "
